It also is a good idea to remove hinged dustcover from the TT if you want to turn it up, my LP120 gave FB on weaker vol records that require the vol knob to be higher to get the dB

My solution for high volume bass hum is very simple . Place your record player on a foam pad , I used memory foam . Absorbs the vibrations....problem solved .
I noticed an improvement in sound quality over all.

@@gwsisaac4461 Im glad that helped 👍 that was an old comment. To be honest , I got tired of vinyl , its overpriced and simply a pain in the ass. I bought a high end bluetooth music adapter for my stereo , been streaming music through Tidal and haven't looked back as it sounds great. Now I'm stuck having to sell about 400 records lol.

Running Denon DP-47f here. The grounding noise simply won't go away. The noise is comming out of the left channel, if I ground the tt - sound on channel left is dead. If I disconnect the ground wire - terrible hum on channel left and slightly humming noise from channel right. Checked the headshell cables and they seem to be okay. I use a 2M Blue on that tt.

The hum noise we hear in this video is electrical interference, electromagnetic noise picked up by the cartridge and the turntable wiring and typically caused by poor shielding and or poor grounding design of the turntable, tonearm, phono cartridge, and the actual audio cables. The electrical and radio frequency noise is reproduced and boosted by the amplifier and fed through the speakers. The above is completely different from feedback oscillation caused by Speaker vibrations or Transformer vibrations being fed into the turntable hand shaking the cartridge in tonearm, sometimes to the point where you get a howling noise. And by the way, the heavier the turntable, or the heavier the objects placed under it in an effort to stop it from vibrating, the more it will actually pass low frequency vibrations through to the turntable. Heavy objects vibrate or resonate at a lower frequency than lightweight objects. Placing a slab of concrete or some bricks or some similar object underneath the turntable may appear to help lower feedback, but it's still transmitting a significant amount of low-frequency vibration into the turntable which is bound to affect the overall sound quality and add intermodulation distortion. Lightweight, or soft, fluffy and sound absorbent materials are typically better for isolating a turntable from the acoustic vibrations and floor born vibrations of the listening room.

Any advice re feedback coming from the subwoofer (the subwoofer vibrates - woofer goes crazy) when the turntable is played. I have a cheap audio technica turntable - has no grounding wire (one of those 125 dollar turntables). It did not feedback at first, but as the day went on - played some records that night and the subwoofer just took off! Distancing did not seem to fix the issue. Kindly help with some other things to try.

@@harryhodgson8091 sadly...no - was able to reduce it some. Too many different cable, separation, grounding fkin theories out here and none of them were worth a hill of poop.

My solution has worked 100% and actually improved sound quality over all...
Simply place your record players feet on a foam pad , I used some memory foam...100% solved.
At high volumes its very likely that your stylus/ needle is picking up vibrations...the foam absorbs it.

I'm dealing with hum... Don't know anyone who could service the turntable. Just bought it. Shit.

Have you tried a ground loop isolator? Costs about 20$ and will fix ur humming noise!
