Wayne you crack me up. Turn the volume up during the Cornell concussion segment 37 minutes in: "My TV would have been broke..." Oops what was that? I starting to think your contributions are like the hidden pineapple in every Psych episode. I think you slide one in every show. I think you should treat it as a contest and whoever finds it first, gets a free BEG logo shirt!
You’re probably right but, I still think the Brands brothers style of coaching is out dated. That’s why they’re banking on transfers. I’ll bet in two years David Taylor’s Oklahoma State teams will supersede them ! Iowa will start going backwards !
Amazing what Coach Taylor has already accomplished for OK ST. The Cowboys got ranked #2 in Recruiting in year 1. Next year might get #1 in recruiting. The Cowboys got ranked #3 from the get go after a bad year(by OK ST standards.) The final Dual of the year will be the best one: a barn burner 🔥. Give David Taylor and Co. about 3 years and I see the Cowboys very possibly dethroning Penn St. Will be close, but I can see it happening.
Starocci just beat guy 15-1. Why push head down. Show more respect to your opponent. Luke Lillidahl needs to wrestle better if he’s going to win NCAA. Seymour is goof but he needs to be better.
@@rmgranza much more into the decision to slide Luke back a little bit than only that. As far as your comparison with Crookham; Crookham has already produced at ncaa tourney with the two in front of him graduating. He has proven that he can win with this horrendous style of his. Proof is in the pudding with him only having a single career loss while also only winning round 1 at the ncaas over American by 1 pt. Had Luke been a sophomore this year and already had ncaa tourney success then we would be much more hesitant to slide him down a little. Even with us sliding him down slightly, we still have him higher ranked than anyone else. Season is young, lots of time to move on up like the Jefferson’s. What slid him down a little was…: - combination of us already having Luke number one, which was about 15 places higher than any other outlet. It is much easier for other outlets to move him up and justify it when they had him at 20 and should had already had him much higher. With us putting him at one means he is the ncaa favorite and at this moment we don’t see that. That is not to say that that won’t change, as it is only mid December. - his lack luster offensive output vs Seymour (who Robinson hung 10 on) -The excellent persistent performances this year by a few guys . - very good CKLV, undefeated record and again…. a proven ability to make it to the ncaa finals when he is on (Ramos) which he clearly is .. all that was put into the decision.
@Slapthematwrestling let's be honest though, these are not legit rankings, they are projections of where you think they will finish. Similar to Willie's crystal ball, which at least he calls "projections". If legit rankings there would be no reason to rank a true freshman without a single match under their belt as #1 and then you can avoid having to drop someone because they had a close win.
@@rmgranza there is no perfect way to enter true freshman into rankings during the first initial couple of months. We decided to rank true freshman as we felt they would project out to be for the initial month or so for a couple of reasons. One we saw that 90% of complaints with other outlet rankings were that exceptional freshman were ranked significantly low or not ranked whatsoever. We also wanted to make it so our NCAA team point rankings were accurate as possible the first couple months. You can’t really do so if you have a wrestler at Luke caliber not earning ncaa team pts. I certainly wouldn’t suggest that these are not “true rankings” just because we projected out true freshman for out the initial month. To be honest, what I’m finding is the same people who gave us excellent feedback on our rankings while Luke was number one are now taking issue with the fact that we are now able to more accurately place him in the rankings since he has a few matches under his belt. We still have him higher than all the other outlets. We are in no way shape or form a crystal ball just because we put freshmen out projected for the first month of season. So are you more upset that We right now have him ranked 4th but placed him where we feel he should now be that he finally has a résumé or are you more upset with the other outlets who have him ranked lower than us? I am just busting balls. Hey, we can make everyone happy and rankings are meant to discuss wrestling so appreciate your input on how we went about them and I do understand where you are coming from. We would just rather proj freshman out the first month till they have a few matches under their belt. This way what we can avoid is wasting time putting out ncaa team point rankings that literally mean nothing at all the first two months.
Crookham is quite literally the most annoying and boring wrestler to watch that I've ever seen. Ive never wanted to see someone lose more than him... well actuality that's not true. I want to see Starocci lose to Parker or anyone for that matter so bad. I can't stand carter. That guy is such a douche lol.
This is how Lilledahl wins. Wins every match close. Lilledahl might be the most impacted with David Taylor going to OSU because he took Gilman and RBY with him. Two guys that really would’ve helped Lilledahl develop.

Keep up the good work fellas! The more wrestling channels the better!
Another Solid episode for the boys, I saw you all on Twitter talking to students at a school about joining wrestling!
You all are awesome
“That might not be the exact quote but that’s exactly what he said”
Couldn’t have said it better myself!!
balomee from matness?? who is this guy!?
Thanks for entertaining me every day. I enjoy listening to you guys talk about wrestling and your daily life.
LOL. So true about Crookhams knee! Get in deep and people start screaming to watch the knee!
Teague Travis is RS -they are going with Fish at 157
yeah he realized that after then show was recorded. We actually said it was a good possibility 3 months ago and everyone thought we were nuts
@@Slapthematwrestling it's a medical, otherwise he would still be the guy
@@notalot22 i was more so speaking of how he was going down to 157.. not that he would have the spot
Oh gotcha. Yeah that was a good call then. OK St will have a lot of spots to fill next year. Maybe with more transfers?
@ between that and the crazy recruiting classes they have coming in i think they will be ok. What a performance at CKLV though wow
This what wrestling needs exciting and bold personalities and opinions. Keep it up guys this channel will be huge next year!
Rock is def my favorite commentator from the last few years! Btw Great show guys!

European soccer teams hire crowd energizers to get crowds going. Singing, chanting, cheering. That’s what we intend to do too
ROCKY HARRISON WRESTLED AT UVA, AND WAS AN ACC OFFICAL AND CALL ACC MATCH OF THE WEEK FOR ESPN, I LOVE HIS ENERGY MY FAVORITE AFTER WAYNE
Lots of good info. Could Kennedy possibly make 157? Doubt it but hate not seeing him in the lineup

Just part of Lilledahl's progression...
Barr may look "smaller" but i feel like he's just as strong as any of the other 197's....
The lightning was definitely missing.
I checked wrestlestat last week and with Teemer out of the lineup Iowa loses too: Nebraska, Minnesota , PSU, Ohio state and OSU. Hard to believe
Just wrestle….not pushing and jaw jacking
Overreaction to the Vega loss. Mendoza is for real!
You could say, one of many overreactions 🤣Blame that on me!
Maybe the wrong team is #2, but the real question is who does #2 work for? ;-)
