  • Ovčar Banja is a beautiful village and natural spa located in the city of Čačak, Serbia (about 1.5 hours from the capital city of Belgrade). Located near the Ovčar-Kablar Gorge in the valley of the West Morava, it is known as the “Serbian Mount Athos” because of the many monasteries situated in this area.
The spring here produces hot thermal mineral water, which is said to be beneficial for rheumatic and other bone diseases and fractures.
Lush green mountains surround this charming little village which is adorned with many cherry and plum trees that blossom in the early spring. Here you can also find restaurants, hotels, fantastic playgrounds, an outdoor gym, a museum of natural history and more.
Ćačak is full of natural beauty which might just be Serbia’s best kept secret.

Wow, beautiful! As a kid I would climb on a mulberry tree, sit on a branch and eat, eat!! I have not had it in years - thank you for showing it!! I definitely will go visit Ovcar Banja.
