You probably have around 3500 lb payload, wouldn't think you have to worry about rear axle weight.

Hey Jim, I have a plan to check this theory. I will be starting next week. Let me get a couple loads in and once i get hooked up to something with some weight to it, i'll do three scales. 1 properly adjusted. 1 half adjusted, according to the scale. 1 with distribution bars completely off.
Then we will go over the scale tickets. Gonna be a couple weeks tho. Thx for the comment. Have a great day.

You are 100% correct. Weighsafe made an error on my order. At the time of install I was running on memory based off of what I ordered. I noticed this a few days after I shot the video. I have made contact with weighsafe and they are going to fix their mistake. This info will come up in another video. You got some eagle eyes..lol
      Thanks for the comment!!

@@richardmackenzie3167 i have submitted the issue to weighsafe and am waiting for a reply. I bought the middle weight it had 2 options for the bars. The ones they sent and 16,000 pound bars. I will be doing non CDL loads, so the heavy was a bit overkill for my needs.
Are you happy with the heavy weight?
      Do you like your weighsafe?
I will start using mine next week and I am pretty sure I'm going to be very happy with it. Seems to be very nice equipment.

the middleweight bars are 8500 or 12500 according to their website which was to low of tongue weight for my trailer which runs around 1400+ I have a toy hauler I had the gen one weigh safe which stuck out quite far so when they came out with the gen 2 heavyweight I bougt it have not towed with it but Im sure it will tow just as good as the gen 1 do like the fact that i can open the tail gate

@@richardmackenzie3167 well I had detailed conversation when ordering and they expressed i could get and was ordering 16,000 pound bars.
All I can do is wait for their response.
      Thanks for the info Richard.

FYI. The rear mud flaps you put on in your other video isn’t going to be dot legal they are to far from the ground.

Thanks for the tip. I'll look into it. I also have a large full width rockgaurd that will be installed on the rear of the truck. If i need to add some rubber to the mudflaps to lower them closer to the ground, that can be done. Do you know the exact regs?

    • @RamTruckTrucking
      @RamTruckTrucking  หลายเดือนก่อน

The current measurment is 6.5 inches from the ground. Loaded it will drop at least an inch maybe 2.

      @@RamTruckTrucking can’t remember exactly but I think it’s 4 inches

@@bigone2211 big thank you for the interaction on the channel. That is what we are looking for here on RTT. Hope to learn and help others be prepaired. I checked the paperwork from the company that I will be contracting through and they specified 6 inches for the mudflaps. Loaded i should clear that no problem. To.orrow we will be doing the full width rock gaurd for the rear. Guess we will see how it measures up.
Feel free to engage here all comments and tips will be expored.
Be hauling in about a week.
