Hello and thank you for your interesting video with an external HD which is not showing up. I can see vaguely it by using preferences and Utilities. However, I wanted to ask you first for your opinion before I go on to erasing or formatting the HD and that question is that I needed to somehow get the information on the HD before erasing or formatting as I have a lot of music videos and movies which I would not be so keen to erase before trying somehow to save them. So I wanted to know if I use the First Aid and the Mount and still the HD does not show up, will I lose some or all of the data on it? I need to make sure and if I use First Aid and Mount I will not lose anything. Can you please be able to offer any help on this matter. Any info will be greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot. Works on pc and Xbox but not Mac. It worked when I copied the data on pc and formatted the drive and thereafter connected to Mac and it showed up. Thanks for your help.

It's as if I never had any photos there just lots of files that are marked as "exe". Is there something wrong with my USB or is it because of the fact that I changed fr PC to MAC? Do I need to format it?
What would you say the issue is if I have bought and plugged 3 usb flash drives and every time I delete all what is in it after being plugged on my Mac, the available storage keeps going down even though there is nothing on it?

Have you tried changing the drive's assigned drive letter in "Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools\Disk Management"?

thats a virus and not harmful for mac,your files went hidden.
search about how to see hidden files on mac..

Have you tried formatting any of those drives? Or possibly checking any of them for errors?

Even after plugging it into a different usb port? Have you tried plugging the flash drive into an entirely different computer?
