Yeah and you don't need super great equipment, they are around lvl 50 if I remember correctly. Photon Spheres I think are much harder to get (Haven't found a way to properly farm them yet), I would use those on other things.
Ok I just started playing PSO2, did only few beginner quests and I got this katana camo without doing any of those quests you mentioned. How come? Or did I get it as a drop, is that possible?
This seemed a lot more complicated than I expected seeing how I’ve never played PS02 base. But considering the fact that I’m already level 20 in ngs,I’m sure going back and playing the base would just be a nice in betweener before new content
I started PSO2 last week after hitting cap in NGS, and I'm super glad I did. It is a surprising amount of fun once you get over the initial learning curve and menu overload. Some of the missions are just nutso in a good way. Feels like the designers were told to just have at it and go over the top with enemy design, and I love it. Honestly makes me super excited to see where they take New Genesis
@@tphan715 Yeah, the base PSO2 is really fun! And it has like 7 or 8 years worth of content. I only played it for a couple of weeks when the global version came out... I want to try and catch up at some point. One thing I really disliked about it, though, was the huge amount of micromanagent and fluff between missions. The equipment upgrading system was super complicted, and kind of "forced" the player to keep several pieces of equipment you are never gonna actually use in hopes of transfering the passive skills, if you want to mini-max. Which meant a lot of time was spent checking every rare equipment to see if they have good passives before freeing up storage space. And the initial inventory had only 50 spaces instead of 100, and there was no drop storage, so you had to manually pick up every item during battle and constantly manage your inventory once it got full... And there was also the personal MAGs, which needed to be feed regularly, (and you had to manage which items you feed to it or spend a bunch of resources fixing their stats later) and so many fetch quests... Man, I do not miss most of the time I spend on vanilla PSO2. Like, the good bits are really good, and it has a lot more variety than NGS, but most of the time I spent on the game was doing meneal, boring, and time consuming tasks, instead of having fun. I wish I could just turn off the "mini-maxer" part of my brain, ignore all the boring bits, and focus on the fun parts instead. But for now, I'm just really glad about how much they streamlined progression on NGS. Looking forward to future patches!

I am using bouncer so maybe the mobs are just super easy with their skills. Only lvl 50 though so prob havent hit hard stuff. Im guessing they might have adjusted the loot tables/exp a bit to make it easier
I have made over 20k star gems alone in base PSO2 from just leveling characters, doing the story, and playing the content along with farming methods. The story and content alone is an average of I would say 6 to 10k star gems? Cant recall because I always use them and I always got a mission pass (battle pass) from level 1 to max whenever a new one released $0. Takes about 700 to 900 star gems to max a pass without leveling it up yourself doing missions and it's no problem because I have too many lol and star gems are expensive af if you buy real money. There is a 2k per week method that still works today and its what I do. I already got everything from the NGS Star Gem store since I can just throw away star gems and rely on base pso2 to get them back. So I'm just going to max NGS Mission passes on release with Star Gems since I can.
@@anomalyNC You can either grind it or buy from other players. If you will only play pso2 base for the outfits/camo, you could just buy some scratches(rewind hero/heroine) then sell some outfits you don't need. If you get all photon spheres from the quest you will get total of 14 boosters after exchange then buy the remaing 6 from players. The lowest now is 52k each so you will need atleast 1.3m which is only 1 outfit if you get lucky. I did this route and managed to buy 1 more camo from the spare meseta I got.
It took me a few hours to get to level 20 for this quest to be unlocked from level 1 as a new pso2 player. I have run into another problem though, when I get to the chef part in this guide there is not an option to accept any quests from them and there isn’t any options for me to send my auxiliary on. What do I do? Thanks.(edit: I read somewhere online that you must be level 21 to accept the procure udan meat client order. It would be a good idea to update this video or sticky a comment to clarify this, because this guide won’t work with just the info in the video.)
you need to go talk to cofy (next to the quest counter clerk) and listen to one of her explanations and that will unlock the client orders for chef franca
Just might have found a solution to this. I finished Cofy’s “Difficulty Level Trial I” and that made me unlocked Franca’s client orders. If that does not work for you, you can take up the daily collect quest and send ur auxiliary for that client order
I just ran through a bunch of main quest stuff and found this out too...fortunately it comes quick, as I'm already level 13 in like 30ish minutes from tutorial stuff. If I add all the boost items I got it shouldn't be too bad.
Thanks for the video I got my autumn leaf. Bought 33 of the photon spheres, and as for how I got the money was through the memories and the sellable animations.
You can also get at least 1 creators emblem and 1 phantasm emblem from doing the main story. You can get 1 more of each by doing the story on hardcore and beating specific quests with an S rank (which gives SG aswell). These emblems can be exchanged at the NPC “Zig” for even more weapon camoes.
Followed the steps. Took me more than 15mins, when i was about to change my spheres for boosters. I realized that, i do not have enough for "a leaf in the autumn breeze" camo. It requires 20 boosters ): Still thanks for the tip, kero.
@@kaniku4547 all the same quests man also tbh its quite aight to play OG pso 2 just focus 1 class like ranger that has like a very chill playstyle, when you lvl 50 you can farm tons of photon boosters, then if you really wanna go for some of the more expensive outfits and camos you might wanna shoot for lv 85 to get the meseta farms
He says 15 minutes of story but it's more like 6 hrs, you also need to do a bunch of quests beforehand that he skips like in the cafe Franka won't give you quests if you did not do other quests in the cafe first

I really appreciate the video. Just got NGS and have not played PSO since Dreamcast. The Auxiliary quest wasn't available automatically but I got the Auxiliary quest on the ship without trying that hard or looking it up- 20 was the required level for me. I bounced between Affin(?), Jan, a few other clients doing random quests, got like four 15,000 exp tickets, and leveled up like 10 times on the ship alone. Made it to level 20 as the servers were going down for maintenance, so I have to wait until tomorrow to check out the camos. I'd rather grind a couple weapon camos than chase those darn Gigantix lol!
How do you know what they look like on the other weapons? they change.. only way to know is to buy and equip on each weapon... Not even the internet is showing all forms from my research.
Fastest way I found to get that autumn breeze was to level a second character to 20 and do the auxiliary Course quest to get that 60 photon spheres from the mission rewards.
@@kiirei1130 Make sure you're looking "All Storage" cause I believe it just defaults to looking at your inventory when you interact with it. You have to put them into your storage as well, its only storage and not shared inventory. Each character on the same ship has shared storage, that much I can confirm cause I quite literally did it myself yesterday and you don't need premium or anything.
your first character can also redeem a number of 15k exp ticket from the titles npc depending on how many titles you have of course. Ez power level on the 2nd character

I actually enjoy the Team Fortress 2 camo that I got from base PSO2 in NGS. Nothing like going around with a frying pan, crowbar, or minigun. Also the Sonic the Hedgehog - Knuckles knuckles camo.

@@keroppi i tried to follow ur guide , first one thing i noticed is that the auxillary quest only appear if ur are lv 20, i was 15 at first and didn't see it, then on the part about sending ur auxillary , u goes to francka's café to take an order, but for me i did get the cinematic when i enter the café, but she don't have the blue quest icon above her head, and so she don't want to give me an order, i'm not sure what requirement i miss ? maybe level saw ur char is 30 , mine only 21 atm or is it anything else ? edit: i bypass it by getting a collect order from agnes on the right of franca but idk why franca don't want to give me order, anyways i'm at 68 photon sphere now, gonna try to find the 32 i missing for the katana u have. edit2: yea the title option isn’t viable for new player got get more sphere only got 1, im trying to look for way to get them but without buying them i don’t see how i can get them fast without playing a lot of base pso2
Before keroppi uploaded this video, I found another video that also gives weapon camo once you complete the main quest episodes. Although it's bloody hell long though, few hours in and i'm still not finished and decided to continue the next day. Other than aiming the wep camo, I also get Star gems along the way which gives me an opportunity to roll for outfits in the scratch tix which got me 3 parts of the featured outfit and i'm happy af. You need to do hardcore mode so that you can collect the SG though
Really nice i manage to get the camo i wanted, and just found by th way that the camo " a Leaf in the Autumn Breeze " is actually a changing camo, it has different appearence depending on the weapon u use, i thought at first it would only be a long katana but no, and on some weapon it's really good :)
Heya, i did the quest where i have to talk with Astarte, but after completing this one i get no "Create an Auxiliary" quest, do i have to talk with someone specific? Cuz Cofy doesn't give me anything more :(
They might not have the capsules, though. They need to either get someone to pay for them or exchange in the red shops for capsules. I forget what they want for them.
by finishing the main story. which part of it? a full run on ep1 can get you 63photon like in the video? cuz i dont want to spend too much time tho for now.
Just use keys and you get material (forgot the name, it is orange ). Then you can trade that material (for photon boosters) with one of the shops near the shop where you would buy the skins.
Question I have is what do these skins look like on other weapons? It says that nodachi can be used on all weapons, but what would it look like on knuckles?? Would it just overwrite it and make me swing around a nodachi instead? am I punching while holding the nodachi? Is there a unique skin for knuckles that it changes into?
Yes, all weapon camo's work in NGS (As long as the weapon TYPE exists) For example I have a lot of Katana weapon Camo's but there is no Katana weapon type in NGS "yet". So those Camo's are unusable.

or, just hit level 40 since that only takes like 10 hours for a casual player then do like 10 advanced quests with a 100% tri boost and buy every skin because phonton boosters are such a common drop
fr, would rather tell someone to try out base pso 2 and do this strat and they might even find pso 2 to be just as or even more enjoyable than NGS and getting photon boosters is really just a side thing

I had never played pso2 but I got on to earn meseta to buy some outfits from the shop however i found out that getting meseta is slow so i looked for other things i could do and found out about advanced quests and just rushed to 40 to buy these skins, afterwards I found out that I quite like pso2
@@werraven5842 getting meseta isnt even that bad once u get the weeklys that reward more meseta (dont remember when u get them but ye), since there will be 1 weekly that will give u 1 mil meseta

You can also sell you extra photon spheres which according to ur vid sells fro 36k to buy cheap weapon camos. I know Nyau sword camo is about 40k and Shi Oh double saber camo is like 70k.
You can get Photon Boosters from Advanced Quests, they are a bit high level like 50-60 or so but you get like 10 per quests and you dont need great equipment to do them, I did them with Nox weapons after playing classic for maybe a couple days i already have most of those Camos, you also get some special coins from doing Story Quests (which do take forever even if you skip the cutscenes), but that is also a way to get some Camos.
Great vid! I did this yestereday xD I had like 600 of those kagaseo phantasmalite in pso2 that I never knew what they were for. Well, just found out you can exchange them for photons to exchange for camos xD got like 15 camos and still have a lot leftover
You can exchange one EX-Cube for a Personal Quarters Use (3 Days) ticket, so as long as you can get EX-Cubes (you can get 3 per day from a Daily quest if you're high enough level), so you can maintain your big room(s) forever as a F2P player! You can use FUN points to buy Room Remodeling Pass (L) at the FUNporium NPC, which allows you to make your room bigger as well as add 2 extra rooms to your quarters (one pass per room, so you need 3 of them to get 3 big rooms). You can also buy scenery passes there to change what the outside of your quarters looks like. You can get one FUN 1000 Ticket for 2 EX-Cubes, so yeah it's pretty easy to maintain your big quarters as well as make FUN points to decorate it as long as you do that Daily quest that gives you 3 EX-Cubes! :D
You could also recommend doing the advanced missions as they drop photon boosters. Once you reach that in levels that is X.x Edit reason: forgot a bit of info
I did this route and got 14 boosters total after finishing some more quests. Then I sold some outfits for meseta since I bought some earlier for my ngs character. I managed to buy the remaining 6 and buy the nodachi camo. I got spare change so I bought one more, the Cydstrid if I got the name right. It's the "easiest" if you will just play base for skins imo.
I want to get both the scythe and the katana camos... Need to prepare for some grinding since I've only just started pso2 with the launch of ngs. The title rewards were nowhere near enough to get even the autumn breeze skin... Painful. At least there's so little content on ngs currently that i can safely play pso2 instead for a while.
Alternatively, if you're a new player that has any plans of playing OG PSO2 long-term, or maybe even as a side thing when you run out of content in NGS (And you will with the piecemeal development workload PSTeam has had since OG PSO2's launch in Japan), use those Photon Spheres to buy those 75% EXP boosters you see there, get high enough level to run Advance Quests and farm Photon Boosters there, and in higher difficulties of the game you'll be able to run when you get higher level where 10*+ weapons drop like candy, you'll be able to exchange those for even more Spheres and Excubes, ensuring a perpetual supply of EXP and Rare Drop boosts that'll really help you farm those Boosters in AQs.
You have to put it in youre character storage in PSO2 and then take it out in new genesis.When you get into NG you click on inventory and click on character storage and you should see it in there.
It’s very quick, took me about 5 minutes. Just focus on afin’s tutorial quests (equip a weapon, equip unit, learn a PA/ Technique) and you’ll level up extremely quickly (like 1-2 levels a quest)!

Why i dont get the place auxilaary quest and send auxilarry quest?
I seem to be able to get those 60 spheres from a second chara and just transfering them theough storage

I really appreciate the video. Just got NGS and have not played PSO since Dreamcast. The Auxiliary quest wasn't available automatically but I got the Auxiliary quest on the ship without trying that hard or looking it up- 20 was the required level for me. I bounced between Affin(?), Jan, a few other clients doing random quests, got like four 15,000 exp tickets, and leveled up like 10 times on the ship alone. Made it to level 20 as the servers were going down for maintenance, so I have to wait until tomorrow to check out the camos. I'd rather grind a couple weapon camos than chase those darn Gigantix lol!
How do you know what they look like on the other weapons? they change.. only way to know is to buy and equip on each weapon... Not even the internet is showing all forms from my research.
I'm going to google it anyways, but you forgot to tell us, how to use those camos in ngs :P

Fastest way I found to get that autumn breeze was to level a second character to 20 and do the auxiliary Course quest to get that 60 photon spheres from the mission rewards.
How did you get those spheres to the other character then?
@@syrunie8086 You just put them in your storage, storage is shared between all characters of the same ship.

@@kiirei1130 Make sure you're looking "All Storage" cause I believe it just defaults to looking at your inventory when you interact with it. You have to put them into your storage as well, its only storage and not shared inventory.
Each character on the same ship has shared storage, that much I can confirm cause I quite literally did it myself yesterday and you don't need premium or anything.
your first character can also redeem a number of 15k exp ticket from the titles npc depending on how many titles you have of course. Ez power level on the 2nd character

I'm new to pso2 and 3 lvls away from max and I wanted to give base pso2 but when I wanted it told I was gonna start from the prologue and I wasn't sure if that would mess up my character data is it supposed to say that sorry am such a noob plz answer

I actually enjoy the Team Fortress 2 camo that I got from base PSO2 in NGS. Nothing like going around with a frying pan, crowbar, or minigun. Also the Sonic the Hedgehog - Knuckles knuckles camo.
Alot of people also forget the casino cosmetics, the force camo from there is my personal favorite weapon camo

@@keroppi i tried to follow ur guide , first one thing i noticed is that the auxillary quest only appear if ur are lv 20, i was 15 at first and didn't see it, then on the part about sending ur auxillary , u goes to francka's café to take an order, but for me i did get the cinematic when i enter the café, but she don't have the blue quest icon above her head, and so she don't want to give me an order, i'm not sure what requirement i miss ? maybe level saw ur char is 30 , mine only 21 atm or is it anything else ?
edit: i bypass it by getting a collect order from agnes on the right of franca but idk why franca don't want to give me order, anyways i'm at 68 photon sphere now, gonna try to find the 32 i missing for the katana u have.
edit2: yea the title option isn’t viable for new player got get more sphere only got 1, im trying to look for way to get them but without buying them i don’t see how i can get them fast without playing a lot of base pso2
Before keroppi uploaded this video, I found another video that also gives weapon camo once you complete the main quest episodes. Although it's bloody hell long though, few hours in and i'm still not finished and decided to continue the next day. Other than aiming the wep camo, I also get Star gems along the way which gives me an opportunity to roll for outfits in the scratch tix which got me 3 parts of the featured outfit and i'm happy af. You need to do hardcore mode so that you can collect the SG though

Really nice i manage to get the camo i wanted, and just found by th way that the camo " a Leaf in the Autumn Breeze " is actually a changing camo, it has different appearence depending on the weapon u use, i thought at first it would only be a long katana but no, and on some weapon it's really good :)

Heya, i did the quest where i have to talk with Astarte, but after completing this one i get no "Create an Auxiliary" quest, do i have to talk with someone specific? Cuz Cofy doesn't give me anything more :(

you could play advance quest if level 40+ get 100s if not 1000s of photon boosters from those...
They might not have the capsules, though. They need to either get someone to pay for them or exchange in the red shops for capsules. I forget what they want for them.
by finishing the main story. which part of it? a full run on ep1 can get you 63photon like in the video? cuz i dont want to spend too much time tho for now.
Just use keys and you get material (forgot the name, it is orange ). Then you can trade that material (for photon boosters) with one of the shops near the shop where you would buy the skins.
why am i not getting the create auxillary quest?
Question I have is what do these skins look like on other weapons? It says that nodachi can be used on all weapons, but what would it look like on knuckles?? Would it just overwrite it and make me swing around a nodachi instead? am I punching while holding the nodachi? Is there a unique skin for knuckles that it changes into?
multiclass camos all have their variation on which weapon it is applied to, but keeps a theme based on what the camo is!

Yes, all weapon camo's work in NGS (As long as the weapon TYPE exists) For example I have a lot of Katana weapon Camo's but there is no Katana weapon type in NGS "yet". So those Camo's are unusable.

or, just hit level 40 since that only takes like 10 hours for a casual player then do like 10 advanced quests with a 100% tri boost and buy every skin because phonton boosters are such a common drop
fr, would rather tell someone to try out base pso 2 and do this strat and they might even find pso 2 to be just as or even more enjoyable than NGS and getting photon boosters is really just a side thing

I had never played pso2 but I got on to earn meseta to buy some outfits from the shop however i found out that getting meseta is slow so i looked for other things i could do and found out about advanced quests and just rushed to 40 to buy these skins, afterwards I found out that I quite like pso2

@@werraven5842 getting meseta isnt even that bad once u get the weeklys that reward more meseta (dont remember when u get them but ye), since there will be 1 weekly that will give u 1 mil meseta
@@KurokoFS what i meant was, getting meseta at lower levels was super slow, i've only just hit 50 2 days ago and am waiting for weekly reset. regardless i need around 25mil, so for being level 50 it'll take a hot minute to get that much

The weapon camo is a physical item, you will need to have the weapon camo in your characters inventory in order to equip it!

You can also sell you extra photon spheres which according to ur vid sells fro 36k to buy cheap weapon camos. I know Nyau sword camo is about 40k and Shi Oh double saber camo is like 70k.
Yup! If you have premium and can sell items that is also another method to buy skins you want!
You can get Photon Boosters from Advanced Quests, they are a bit high level like 50-60 or so but you get like 10 per quests and you dont need great equipment to do them, I did them with Nox weapons after playing classic for maybe a couple days i already have most of those Camos, you also get some special coins from doing Story Quests (which do take forever even if you skip the cutscenes), but that is also a way to get some Camos.
Also how far in the quest will the auxiliary quest pop up?

Isn't Personal Quarters a Premium feature? Or is it available even for f2p players in base PSO2?
It's available for everyone it's just that premium players get a big quarter's non premium get a tiny room
You can exchange one EX-Cube for a Personal Quarters Use (3 Days) ticket, so as long as you can get EX-Cubes (you can get 3 per day from a Daily quest if you're high enough level), so you can maintain your big room(s) forever as a F2P player! You can use FUN points to buy Room Remodeling Pass (L) at the FUNporium NPC, which allows you to make your room bigger as well as add 2 extra rooms to your quarters (one pass per room, so you need 3 of them to get 3 big rooms). You can also buy scenery passes there to change what the outside of your quarters looks like. You can get one FUN 1000 Ticket for 2 EX-Cubes, so yeah it's pretty easy to maintain your big quarters as well as make FUN points to decorate it as long as you do that Daily quest that gives you 3 EX-Cubes! :D
You could also recommend doing the advanced missions as they drop photon boosters.
Once you reach that in levels that is X.x

I did this route and got 14 boosters total after finishing some more quests. Then I sold some outfits for meseta since I bought some earlier for my ngs character. I managed to buy the remaining 6 and buy the nodachi camo. I got spare change so I bought one more, the Cydstrid if I got the name right. It's the "easiest" if you will just play base for skins imo.

Are they weapon camos available for Knuckles?
I want to get both the scythe and the katana camos... Need to prepare for some grinding since I've only just started pso2 with the launch of ngs. The title rewards were nowhere near enough to get even the autumn breeze skin... Painful. At least there's so little content on ngs currently that i can safely play pso2 instead for a while.
Alternatively, if you're a new player that has any plans of playing OG PSO2 long-term, or maybe even as a side thing when you run out of content in NGS (And you will with the piecemeal development workload PSTeam has had since OG PSO2's launch in Japan), use those Photon Spheres to buy those 75% EXP boosters you see there, get high enough level to run Advance Quests and farm Photon Boosters there, and in higher difficulties of the game you'll be able to run when you get higher level where 10*+ weapons drop like candy, you'll be able to exchange those for even more Spheres and Excubes, ensuring a perpetual supply of EXP and Rare Drop boosts that'll really help you farm those Boosters in AQs.
I have tons of Photon boosters because I played back in the day where SHAQ (Super Hard Advanced Quest) where the best way to level.

Hello Keroppi! I just wanna ask how do I make my UI bigger on Vanilla PSO2. Because my UI is darn small compared to NGS.
So I unlocked the Quartz double saber camo in PSO2 and it doesn't show up for use in New Genesis. Am I missing something?
You have to put it in youre character storage in PSO2 and then take it out in new genesis.When you get into NG you click on inventory and click on character storage and you should see it in there.
For some reason my weapon skins from pso2 look unrendered and buggy when used on ngs. Any idea on how to fix this?

How long does it take to unlock the Auxilary Course Quest? Google says i get the quest when i reach level 20?!?
It’s very quick, took me about 5 minutes. Just focus on afin’s tutorial quests (equip a weapon, equip unit, learn a PA/ Technique) and you’ll level up extremely quickly (like 1-2 levels a quest)!

Just do the main quest and it will eventually show up. I finished mine earlier but I need 5 more to get the katana. Don't know where to farm now. LOL
