- Hi welcome to Is This Thailand's Best Island? Koh Phayam Was Amazing. Today i kick off with food in a local restaurant before heading off to Hin Talu beach. It is an amazing beautiful beach and so worth the short trip to Koh Phayam just for that alone. I couldn't believe how quiet it was also.
A little walkabout afterwards followed by the beach again for sunset. i finish off the next day back to Ranong on the boat.

What a gorgeous little beach spot, and SO quiet, and it's high season to boot!! Yes agree, this is the place to be in Thailand. Even if you lived in Thailand, you would come here for a long weekend or a break from the world.
Hi Greg, it was a beautiful island but yes the age old problem of WiFi. That’s the price you pay I suppose, at least with a 7/11 I can plug into there. It wasn’t to be.
I’ve no idea about the flies but that was highly noticeable. If is a great place to come definitely if you live here mate💯

Hi Peter, they are both amazing places mate. I do personally prefer the rural areas but these are beautiful destinations in the South. The tiger temple was well worth the climb too, the 360 degree views were insane. Thanks.
Chicken, Beef , Pork and Lamb all contain the emzymes that can cause gout, so all should be eaten in moderation. The island looks the PERFECT place to relax and take a break from life, I think a trip to the Island should be on the NHS 🤣 Looking forward to more uploads

How quiet is it at night Richy? Much as I love places like this, sometimes I find them a bit too sleepy if travelling solo. I first discovered Thailand in 1990 and this island certainly takes me back to Thai Island life then. Cheers Bud!
Hi Graham, it was really quiet mate. The places round near where I was staying closed at 9.30/10pm. I was beautiful but very sleepy. Thanks mate

Hi Richy, stunning looking island, just a thought, if the mosquito bites you get get one of those nasal inhalers from 7-11 they are called Poy-Sian then unscrew the bottom of it and there is a little bottle of liquid, just dab that on the bite and it will stop the itching, cheers and enjoy, thanks.
Hi Billy, it was a class island mate. Thanks I’ll check that out, I use tiger balm that works really good too.
I’ve used one of those, it is very similar to tiger balm but the little liquid part is great for mozzy bites, leaves a green stain but soothes it no end,.
@cabovermike I’ll have a look Mike, I usually try and keep away from chemicals and as far as aware tiger balm is mostly natural. It works great too

It was a lovely island mate, especially in high season I couldn’t believe how quiet it was. They’ll all be leaving Jomtien today. As it was a bank holiday for the Thai’s.
I was starting to get worried glad your ok sounds like you've had a bit of well needed chill time. What a beautiful place stunning views and a lovely beach. Yep I agree about the bikes and no helmets we came of a bike a few years ago battered and bruised gave us a wake up call 😊

the scenery is stunning ,the weather is great (never drops below 23/24 C, with highs in the mid 30's) ,it's dirt cheap and in general the folk are nice . TAT should employ me

Your old manc mate has all the traits of a farang who's bored shitless and stuck on a hidey hole island with a leo for company untill you came along, i would imagine that island is an "overstayers" heaven, ?. i would guess 2/3 nights would be enough for most normal folk, i dont think that you did the island justice, rent a motorbike for a day and you could of bossed it, an extra video was missed i feel .I'm being critical here but you got the "beer goggles" on a bit to much on this one richy, i know its all to easy to get caught up in the moment but do it off camera, cheers,.
Hi Mike, yes he was in a day in day out routine. I would have stayed longer and got a bike but I just haven’t got the capacity to store more footage. The vlog unloaded there took about 10 hours just to upload to TH-cam. I can’t be putting my equipment through that unfortunately. I’m not a drinker it hits me just having one never mind two. In three days I had 5 bottles.
