Chicken, Beef , Pork and Lamb all contain the emzymes that can cause gout, so all should be eaten in moderation. The island looks the PERFECT place to relax and take a break from life, I think a trip to the Island should be on the NHS 🤣 Looking forward to more uploads
How quiet is it at night Richy? Much as I love places like this, sometimes I find them a bit too sleepy if travelling solo. I first discovered Thailand in 1990 and this island certainly takes me back to Thai Island life then. Cheers Bud!
Great island that mate, will definitely be having a visit sometime this year. Can't believe how quite it was, this weekend in jomtien been to busy, Chinese new year.
It was a lovely island mate, especially in high season I couldn’t believe how quiet it was. They’ll all be leaving Jomtien today. As it was a bank holiday for the Thai’s.
Hi Peter, they are both amazing places mate. I do personally prefer the rural areas but these are beautiful destinations in the South. The tiger temple was well worth the climb too, the 360 degree views were insane. Thanks.
I was starting to get worried glad your ok sounds like you've had a bit of well needed chill time. What a beautiful place stunning views and a lovely beach. Yep I agree about the bikes and no helmets we came of a bike a few years ago battered and bruised gave us a wake up call 😊
Thank you June, I’m fine just the old age WiFi issues. Yes I think it takes an accident for people to wake up unfortunately. They were many western people carrying babies it was crazy😊
It's worth the wait to see this beautiful place, but I feel your frustration in getting content out. You know you're remote when there are no 7-11's 🤣 I wonder why the fly's are there, but not much elsewhere 🤔 What a gorgeous little beach spot, and SO quiet, and it's high season to boot!! Yes agree, this is the place to be in Thailand. Even if you lived in Thailand, you would come here for a long weekend or a break from the world.
Hi Greg, it was a beautiful island but yes the age old problem of WiFi. That’s the price you pay I suppose, at least with a 7/11 I can plug into there. It wasn’t to be. I’ve no idea about the flies but that was highly noticeable. If is a great place to come definitely if you live here mate💯
the scenery is stunning ,the weather is great (never drops below 23/24 C, with highs in the mid 30's) ,it's dirt cheap and in general the folk are nice . TAT should employ me
G'day Richy, been waiting for your next vlog, thought it would take a while to get your vlog out since the wi-fi isn't the best, very much looking forward to seeing this 💯👍.
@@juliejohnson835 lol neither from what I can remember Julie I very rarely drink and never on a travel day I like to keep a clear head. Probably a little sunstroke from being on the island.
Hi Richy, stunning looking island, just a thought, if the mosquito bites you get get one of those nasal inhalers from 7-11 they are called Poy-Sian then unscrew the bottom of it and there is a little bottle of liquid, just dab that on the bite and it will stop the itching, cheers and enjoy, thanks.
I’ve used one of those, it is very similar to tiger balm but the little liquid part is great for mozzy bites, leaves a green stain but soothes it no end,.
Beautiful place - was there 2019. Was curious which of the 2 Koh Chang’s you said was your favourite island and why, mate? Also, what specifically would you say Konchanaburi is your favourite Thai city? Will soon be starting slow travel SEA retirement and exploring new destination options. Thanks for the vid, subscribed and will check out your others. Cheers, Davey🇨🇦
Hi Davey, I mean the Koh Chang just below Pattaya mate. It’s my favourite as it’s so relaxing there and not as busy as the other islands to the other side of Thailand like Koh Samui etc. Kanchanaburi is my favourite city again it’s very relaxing with the River Kwai running through it, the people are really nice, it’s not as expensive as most places, loads of great markets/temples etc and there’s loads to do there with the history of the war which really interests me. I hope you have an amazing retirement and trip around SEA🇨🇦🏴👍🏻
@ I actually realized later you did specify the Koh Chang you meant! M’bad. Haha Much busier but more to do than Koh Phayam though, no doubt. Do you know if they have the cheapo rustic bunglows option too, or no? If so, I’ll make my way for sure. Love Koh Phayam bunglows - pretty much “glamping” for me! Haha! At least since they got 24/7 power. I’ve seen earlier Chuck’s vids on his trips with Paige to Kanchanaburi (Koh’s Chang and Phayam too, for that matter), but they roll a bit different than I, so I don’t quite get the tastes of destinations from them (notime2bsad yt) as I’d like. Thus, I sure appreciates your thoughtful comments, Richie! Thanks as well for your best wishes on my retirement 🙏 Davey
Hi, would you recommend one side of the island than the other? We found nice accommodation next to the pier, but heard it is not the nice part of the island? Is this true and we should be looking at some other side of the island?
This island is a great place to relax - and the lack of wifi is actually good on one hand - but not for uploading blogs of course - John from Manchester Legend) 🎉
Your old manc mate has all the traits of a farang who's bored shitless and stuck on a hidey hole island with a leo for company untill you came along, i would imagine that island is an "overstayers" heaven, ?. i would guess 2/3 nights would be enough for most normal folk, i dont think that you did the island justice, rent a motorbike for a day and you could of bossed it, an extra video was missed i feel .I'm being critical here but you got the "beer goggles" on a bit to much on this one richy, i know its all to easy to get caught up in the moment but do it off camera, cheers,.
Hi Mike, yes he was in a day in day out routine. I would have stayed longer and got a bike but I just haven’t got the capacity to store more footage. The vlog unloaded there took about 10 hours just to upload to TH-cam. I can’t be putting my equipment through that unfortunately. I’m not a drinker it hits me just having one never mind two. In three days I had 5 bottles.

Thank you, I always thought it was just red meat. 🤣💯it definitely should be, it was so relaxing.
Thanks for the vid again Richy. It's like the 'Lonely Plant' book 25 years ago, when there was no other way to travel without help 👏

It was beautiful mate, I never ventured in the little village on a night but I never seen any girly bars.
