My father would not go to church but watch the homecoming tapes. Especially with the Happy Goodmans and tears running down his face. What a ministry The Gaithers life have been.
Bill and Gloria are my friends! Do they know me? NO! Wish they did....I went to see them when I was a young mom in the 70’s when I would go home and try to repeat Gloria’s stories. I would sing “ I am a Promise” , “Because He Lives” and “The Family of God” throughout the day. They came to Dayton, OH to sing as a trio with Danny. In the 80’s I would go to see them when they came to Houston, Tx and I would listen to their stories and realize Gloria was a busy mom just like I was. There has never been a song sung that I did not love. I have so many Gaither song books, books, sheet music. My husband used to call my library “The Gaither Library”. These two are an amazing couple and they sure have been a blessing in my life! Thanks, Andy, for interviewing both Gloria and Bill....talk about gold!!
This was so great Andy & Bill!!!!!! Please invite Bill back soon! He "ministers" to us as did sweet lovely Gloria; but they do so in different ways/methodologies!! Oh how I would dearly desire yo be on the Alaskan cruise with you all! 2 shows every day sounds heavenly. God bless and keep you and yours safely wrapped in HIS peace and favor.
Bill and Gloria are both so inspiring and I enjoy listening to the wisdom and life lessons they share. I especially felt refreshed when Bill said that he does not write every day or every week. I, too, try to write but I do not write on the daily or weekly. This leaves me feeling unskilled or even lacking because I just assumed writers always write something every day. I write when a thought strikes me or if I'm at work, a phrase will come to my mind and I grab a Post-It note to write a line down. I am glad to know that the man whom I consider to be the greatest writer ever does the same. Awesome interview!
Hi Andy, I was just watching one of your interviews with Bill Gaither. I have a question for you, how could someone like me that doesn't have a platform like you get to Bill, or someone like him, to pitch a couple of gospel songs? It's a very hard thing to get songs in the hands of the right people but, everyone just needs a conduit or avenue to get there. Kind of like you getting to meet some of the people you have met. I'm sure someone has helped along the way somewhere. Thanks Andy and God Bless!!!
The original videos are still my favorites!
Great Job Andy! Loved It!
