  • This DIY will absolutely work for the Mini Cooper S (and Clubman too I believe) because they have the same engine and engine bay. This is a such an easy install and no reason not to add some great mods to your X1. You can even choose silver, black or red intake pipe to add some color to your engine bay.
    Required parts and tools:
    Mishimoto Performance Intake

      I would start with Kies Motorsports and see what they have specifically for your motor.

    Could this mod work on Both B38 and B48 (the one in the video)?
    I wonder if something changes between de 3 cylinder and the 4 cylinder other than space...

      Yes though you would need the right intake for those motors

      Not on this video as it was focused on the install.

    Does it increase horsepower??

    • @BMWDIYGuy
      @BMWDIYGuy  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      The manufacturers often say they do, and they might but increases are pretty small.

      @@BMWDIYGuy so what should I do to increase horsepower? Any modification?

      @vekilort9478 all budget driven.. but ECU tune, downpipes, improved fueling and even bigger turbos. ECU flash tune or a jump box like JB4 is a place to start. Keep in mind your engine warranty is gone if you do.

      Confirm the motor for sure.. I am not sure that has the same motor as this year.

    Could this same kit work for a 216d f45

      As long as it is the same motor, very likely yes.

    X1 AND X2 ARE THE SAME RIGHT.?

    • @BMWDIYGuy
      @BMWDIYGuy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, not the same models though motors can be similar. Double check what motor you have before getting an intake.

    Soooooo why not just cut a hole in the side of the original intake lol this design is not air tight. So you could get the same effect by simplying cutting a hole somewhere in the intake.

      Because vacuum. Even putting on aftermarket and not tuning will cause issues
