I can take a few pretty good hard shots to the outside, but just one half speed kick to the inner thigh will damn near have me limping lol. It's just a very sensitive spot. Alot nerve ending on that part of the leg. A guy told me once, and this made alot of sense, that any place on the body, like the inner thigh, the armpit, or inner upper arm, where you can lightly run your fingers across it and it kinda tickles, is an absolutely AWFUL place to take a hit.

      @@BACKDOORBROWNIE710 the average guy who streetfights..even a very strong and very tough street fighter who whoops people's asses and never loses..would NEVER be able to take an inner leg kick from even a low level Thai fighter whose been training 5 or 6 months. The fight would be over after that kick. It would be the equivalent of taking a baseball to the inner thigh.

Two elites in the sport, Nong O is just cut from a different cloth though, dude has insane skills, his fight IQ is incredibly sharp and has a solid boxing foundation that really gives him an edge in there ... watch the whole fight One Championship Muay Thai, its well worth the watch.

      Most warriors don’t see it that way in the slightest. It is most of our dreams to be able to live off the wealth and glory of out accumulated skills. As it is there is already usually something eating up a man that has pushed himself to the point of being able to fight at this level. The skill is gained through suffering, why wouldn’t you enjoy being able to live off the fruits of your labor?

    The power of low kicks! I once had to spar hard against a much bigger opponent (muay thai). He hit my head with a big hook, it blurred my vision and hearing. Then I countered with a low kick to his thigh, putting all my weight into it. He went straight to the ground and crawled away to a corner. Then I continued to spar with another dude, but after the training session was over that guy came crawling to me like "look at my thigh". Damn..It was almost double its size. That low lick might have ruptured his quadriceps, it was crazy. I wonder what happened to him afterwards, never saw him again 😳

    the thais put a lot of emphasis on not showing emotions or changing facial expression when they fight, the poker face can be pretty intimidating and it takes a lot of practice. The irony is that out of the ring their sense of humour is pretty childish, maybe to compensate for the unforgiving nature of their lifestyle
