As believers, how do we respond to calamity? In his answer to this crucial question, Nouman Ali Khan delves into the meaning of the word "musiba" in Arabic, which is used strategically in the Quran to denote that whatever it is that has struck you, could never have happened to anyone else at any other time. It is your own, personal test. The Quran also distinguishes between two types of unfortunate situations, those over which we have no control and others which we brought upon ourselves. But where do we draw the line between what is in Allah's hands and what is our fault? The Quran answers that on a simple premise: That Allah is whatever you assume Him to be. If you genuinely believe that he is the all-merciful, then at times of difficulty you must be unwavering in our faith that if Allah plans something for you, even if it's painful, you must know that He is doing it out of love. When you trust and maintain your reliance in Him, Allah will give you the greatest gift of all: he will guide your heart to the right path and give you peace of mind.
I lost my child ,8 years old.He drowned. Since then, i have been listening to the khutbahs that announce the mercy of Allah on the face of calamity. May Allah have His mercy on me, I seek his mercy in all my prayers. It is though difficult to live a life without his presence around, but I am trying hard and console myself for the rewards and the wisdom of Allah in every situation a believer faces.
InshaAllah you will meet him in Jannah where there is no sadness (:
Take heart. You will be rewarded greatly.
I hope you find peace knowing that your child is running around the gardens of Jannah waiting for you❤️

Being shaheed is the number thing true Muslims asks for. In Sha Allah in time you will heal

Absolute truth has given me the most amazing.I'm living in my truck now 2 months at age of 50 and I have been allowed to endure dozens of uncomfortable and painful things just these last two months..yet my life is perfect in my connection to ALLAH I trust ALLAH.. Alhamdulillah has taught me to do ,be, and go where ALLAH TELLS me..I tell him even, before HE GAVE Me Islam, that, I will go where He tells me to go and do. His Message never cases to apply in all my life situations.

Can I beg you to please add English subtitles for your videos? Apart from the fact that deaf people can also benefit from these videos, there are people who don't understand Arabic phrases. I know they are mostly translated but still would be very happy for non Arabic speakers.

Please yes. I am trying to learn. It is good you speak in English to too. I thank you. Many in USA have no teachers. There is only 1% Muslim in USA. There are many men who are Muslim. They are wanting me to be Haram with them. I am 64. They are like 25. They are supposed to lower their eyes. They are the worst on the net. Especially from Tunisia. They say they are Islamic. They will not teach me. They are lazy. Some do not even pray 5 times a day. Do they think I am a infidel so I am a sinner that they can hurt begging for Haram things? Please do a service addressing how Muslim men are to treat nonMuslim women. Or even old women.

I needed this. Oh Allah protect Ustadh Khan. I lost my job and I have been rejected left and right. I intended to get married but I cannot now at this point. On top of it all, my father was diagnosed with cancer. I spend my days trying to help him and my mother out. But I have been feeling helpless, lonely and abandoned lately. But now I see. Allah loves me more than my own mother. Allah will never abandon me, and Allah will help me and love me if I ask. Oh Allah, guide me, keep me strong and give me happiness. And forgive me.
In shaa Allah i will get through whatever I am going through. I intend to get much closer to Allah. Please Allah guide me and my heart.

Life of this world is to test our ability and true nature.
- it is also for us to learn to adjust blaming someone or something for our hardship. We sometimes blame ourselves or God's plan without reflecting on cleansing our attitude.
We can't improve ourselves unless we are challenged because we don't like changes.
Great khutbah by NAK mash Allah. I love his style...he gets the point across and he does it with a sense of humour :)
My 2 cents on what NAK says around 12 min: As a Muslim, one of the phrases we recite the most is 'Bismillah Irahman Iraheem' (sorry if I made a spelling mistake :p ). I think Allah wants us to focus on His qualities of rahman and raheem...the Forgiving and Merciful, rather than thinking of Him as angry and vengeful. After all, He does love us more than 70 mothers :)

Mumsiken My dear, that is not ever okay that a man treats his wife like that. Allah tells us to have mercy and love between us and our spouse. We do not OWN our spouse--Allah does. So how could one slave of Allah treat their wife (who is a blessing given to him BY Allah) in that unfair, unkind way. This is a reminder to myself first; speaking negatively to our spouse is wrong and we WILL be asked about it.

This is one of the most influencing lectures of Nouman to me, with so many lessons that are hardest to own. Im listening it for months now literarly whenever I feel confused, or plans crushes or feeling im losing tawakkul. I watch this and all becomes clear to me. Everytime, over and over again.

We are here to worship Allah alone. Some betray themselves by not believing. It's normal to have downfalls in this life. Not to win in the way we want but Allah is the best of planners we need to trust in Allah alone. If some plans don't go the way you want does not mean to say you are a looser it just means your plan was no the same as Allah's plan but society make you believe otherwise. Read Qur'an o help you remember the real truth.
