A) you had me at the 3, 2, 1 intro and B) this is how an heirloom is created. Great little kit man. Love your stuff. Always good to see a Scoot Turner video pop up at the bottom of my screen. Cheers.
Absolutely love this, the fusion of raw materials combined with your precision and attention to the details is what makes you stand out!
Many thanks! Working with wood and leather is a wonderful thing!
Your design style is phenomenal and your manufacturing methods are educational.
Great job Scott.
That is CLSSS!! The workmanship is simply exceptional.
Beautiful, elegant and simple. Always leather, wood and iron combinations are beautiful...
Beautiful handwork and good sense of style! Thank you for sharing a great video.
I love the way you find different methods of getting the job done. Beautiful work.
Thank you Bonnie. Every problem has a solution. Just need a coffee in between :)
Bravo, bravo. That is an incredible piece and so beautifully done. An inspiration, sir.
Master-you're just crazy! Excellent performance, meticulous attention to detail. I could not understand until the last, what it is. When I saw it, laughed for a long time. I translate it by car translator, so it's probably clumsy. But you handsome!
Thank you so much! Well I'm glad it was a surprise. Translation can be difficult I know and that's why I do very little talking in my videos. All the best and thanks for the comment!
Спасибо огромное! Я рад, что это был сюрприз. Перевод может быть трудным, я знаю, и поэтому я очень мало говорю в своих видео. Все самое лучшее и спасибо за комментарий!
Aside from abusing the paint can opener to chisel out the wood, this was SUPERB !!!!
Ha - always making me laugh! I've had that chisel for 1 million years and it has survived every conceivable chisel sin. Thanks Bill!
Very nice. Amazing to see people have the talent to come up with ideas like this and build it.
Thank you Lewis. I think we all can do amazing things given the right encouragement and opportunity.
Criativo, inteligente e bonito. Parabéns! :)
Creative, intelligent and beautiful. Congratulations! :)
This is y i love youtubers like urself....see a need fill a need....awesome build
Thank you Stefano. I think it is an improvement on the plastic bag at least. All the best and thanks for the comment!
Fantastic idea using the cnc as an upside down router table! And bonus points for excellent use of sqwayre:)
Hey Tim! You can imagine the thinking, how am I going to cut that curvy rebate. I started setting up the Router Table and I was thinking I going to stuff this up because you can't see the cut. That's when I looked at the CNC Spindle and the hold down as the guide and bingo. Just have to be very careful of jamming (not guitar), no different from any power tool. Thanks and all the best Amigo!
Yeah the CNC idea felt both dangerous and genius at the same time!
Love it.
very nice! it was first time I saw using cnc this way! Be careful Scott. Beautiful result.
Regards from Ukraine!
Thank you! Yes I was extremely careful, I moved ever so slow. The video is sped up 20x. I appreciate your concern.
A handsome project that would be proudly displayed and used in any house.
Using the CNC as a pin router! Brilliant, Scott! What a classy approach rather than a simple box.
Really neat Scott👍
Scott Turner you are most welcome.
We really appreciate your videos.
I love how you used the polish as a finish. And how you used the cnc but with a human touch. You were a genius!
Hi Preston! Many thanks. Yes I think the clear boot polish was the right choice for the project. (In truth I had no idea what other leather products to use :)
Wow! I would love to have a shoe shine case like that! Absolutely stunning.
Wow Scott i found this video and i am amazed by your skills and craftsmanship! Looking forward to see future videos :D
That shines :)
It was shiny but it needs another buff with all the handling it's getting :) Thanks Rob!
Absolutely beautiful. I'm a leather worker with a passion (no skill though) for wood working and this has just made my day!
Ok, the router bit in the drill press with the jig you made is genius. It looks like with the right jig supporting the material it works great. I also really liked that used shoe polish instead of a traditional wood finish for the wood.
Hey Danny! I had the bit in the CNC Spindle with the CNC control off (just the spindle running). Worked well. Thank you Danny for your feedback and support!
Looks amazing. Puts my plastic bag to shame.
Hi Matt! Thanks mate. Oh yes you can do way better than the plastic bag for sure :)
this is just beautiful! Lovely design and a quality build with lots of sweet detail! great job
There are so many cool aspects to the design and execution of this build. But maybe my favorite is the sweet satisfying sound of the leather top closing on the peg. 👌🏼 Beautiful work man.
Thank you so much! I agree on the sound of the leather snapping shut. Cheers!
That was simply amazing. You are a very creative bloke. Keep up the great work. You do fabulous work with much humility.
Uma criação de Mestre ...com uma desta, iria para uma festa de tapete vermelho e exibiria sem medo a obra prima ...parabéns pela criação magnifica e obrigada pela aula

I love the addition of the magnets to hold the polish. A perfect fit and that box came out really nice! First video of yours I've seen, so it earned my subscription. Nice work!
Huge thanks for the sub, watching my video and comment. I have heaps of other "stuff" on the channel. All the best!
You should produce a one off limited number for sale. they would disappear before your eyes
Thanks Dave! It is on my mind for sure. Keep an eye out on my instagram or facebook, may be in a few weeks. All the best
Very nice case !
I like the way you use your CNC with bare hands, very nice idea too !!
I had already seen this on your Instagram feed but I loved watching it come together. It is such an elegant design. Thank you for posting this. It is a great inspiration. 😎
Thanks again - thank you for your support and feedback! Love the shades BTW :)
Nice use of the CNC as an overhead router! Most folks never think about using it that way. You kind of have to think about what you're doing, and pay attention to the wood as you're feeding it, but it's a quick way to handle small tasks like what you did there. It works a treat for hinge mortises in small projects like boxes and such, too. Very nice project!
Hi Mark. Yes you have to have a think about it for sure. My concern was jamming and throwing the piece (with my hands on it) but I was ever so steady. Like any power tool, you have to be aware of the risks and manage the work and yourself accordingly. The only thing powered on the cnc at the time was the spindle. Worked great for what I needed. Thanks Mark!
Came out really beautiful and love the detail with the magnets inside
Great kit. So many cool details. I like how you used the router as a hand held mill.
Cheers Dave! Yes that part is getting a lot of comments which is interesting in a good way. Thanks.
Beautiful and unique project Scott. Very well done Sir. Still continuing to inspire. Already looking forward to your next project. All the best my friend from North London. UK
Wow. You have to be happy with that result, and rightly so. Very nice work. 🖒
Interesting how you utilized your CNC. First time I’ve seen it done this way. I learn something every time I watch your videos. Please keep them coming. Thanks again
Hi Dale - thank you. Where there is a problem, a solution is nearby.
Another beautiful project. Such a brilliant idea using the cnc as a speed chisel.
Thanks Matthew, felt it was the best option and it worked well.
Brilliant - I like the way you stored the tins too...
Thank you Branden! Those little magnets worked perfectly for the job.
Brilliant use of your CNC to inlet that rabbet for the leather cover to sit flush.
Felt it was a better option that the router table where I wouldn't be able to see the cut. Thank you!
Hi Scott, Beautiful work,,as always...I like the manual x y axis work on your cnc, creative. I remember having a shoe shine box with kiwi polish when i was young 1960s - 1970s.
Hi Dino - many thanks! Yes in those years everyone knew how to polish shoes and use whitener on the sand shoes (Volleys).
Great work bro!! You got me the bug to start my own project. Thanks for pushing me off the couch!!
Always a treat to hear that my videos helps people start a project! Cheers!
Another stunning and elegant design and execution, including the clever use of your new router. All the best..... Joel
I still enjoy watching your videos. very nice work and good wind of France.
Great to see you working with wood Scotty, cracking job
Hey Stevie - thanks mate and this wood was great to work with! Welding job up next and the shed is full of dust....fek.
Wow that's a little ripper well done 👍👏
Looks great Scott! Nice touch using the shoe polish for the finish.
Парень ты красавчик! Просто нет слов! И фантазия и руки с плеч и мастерская просто улёт !
Loving your designs and concepts
Always enjoy your builds with a touch of jimmy
That was AWESOME man! I really like the way that turned out! Great idea!
Very nice 👍👍👍. Beats the hell out of the old cardboard shoe box that I use. Well done and thanks for another great video.
Nice little design! Gotta say I've never seen anyone use a CNC like that, but it seems to have worked. :) Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Seth. I was very careful hand feeding the cnc. Like when using any tool there are real risks. Thanks for watching!
That was a really cool blend of wood and leather. I like the leather especially since it was a polish box. I got a fever...and the only thing that can cure it is more Forme
Cheers! Hard to get it too wring with leather and walnut. Great combination. I'm working on the next project foryou right now. All the best and thanks again!
Scott, that is a brilliant design! I also love how you turned your CNC into a milling machine! Excellent idea. Your builds and videos are always top shelf!
Co to dużo mówić, świetnie Ci to wyszło
The appropriate Box for the italian $400 shoes. Very nice and outstanding project. Thanks for
Such a satisfying sound when the leather forces itself onto the wooden peg.
Glad that sound came through on the video. Yes it sure is, thanks!
Congratulations friend, fantastic job! It is amazing what nature and goodwill can provide us. Hug from Brazil.
Hey, I didn’t know you had installed a forth axis on the CNC! Now that’s very cool! 😄
Your videos and craftsmanship never fail to impress!
I see you're still at it . . elevating the mundane into useful, stylish objects. This brought back a wave of memories: my late father was a furniture repair and refinisher. When I was a young girl, I would often join him by his workbench and play with wood curls and sawdust while he went about his work. He tried to keep me occupied by coaxing me to shine my family's shoes (for 25 cents a pair). He had a portable shoe shine box made of oak, with curved areas that cradled the polish, and I loved the smell of the polish when I pried open those tins. The polish and the distinctive wood fragrance . . you know? I still have his shoe shine box, and I think I need to re-stock it and put it to good use once more. I enjoyed this project, on so many levels, Scott.
Thank you for sharing that Judy! Wonderful memories bought back with the most humble things - shining shoes - fragrance - the pop of the tin. I'm so glad you the video was able to do that for you Judy, made my day. All the best!
