I would love to see a special video about Stone Fruit, I appreciate all your videos they are so educational for those of us that are unable to travel to these shows.
Wonderful tour of a fabulous show. I 'spent' a lot of money. Wish I could be there. Saw some beautiful crocks and a couple of sweet little hanging cupboards. Thank you!
Thanks for taking us on a tour of this awesome show, Gabriella! I saw a dough box and a pie safe that I would have seriously considered. So many gorgeous things!
Gabby, I thank you for this video so soon after eye surgery! Wonderful you are doing so well!!!!! There are so many lovely antiques that have been found & discovered for us! I hope I run into you at Canfield Sat. Blessings with hugs, Pam
Enjoy the fabulous show, Pam. I'm going to have to sit out the shopping day this time. Will be home, icing, and editing future videos. Yesterday was a "large" day, and the eyes need some rest. Please do let me know what you find!
Love seeing all the treasures in the high end shows!!. I guess I'm the person who laughed and said you are obsessed with hog scraper candle sticks!! I bought two from Mr. Hromy and he shipped them to me!! I am thrilled to find someone who is so kind and knowledgeable! I am obsessed with a lot!! But stone fruit just makes my heart sing! So I will look forward to your stone fruit video!! Thank you so much, Ann from Ga.
What a great antique show. Thank you for blogging this for us. I love anything with that beautiful blue color, always catches my eye. The watch box was interesting, the one with the watch inside so you could see how nice that looked. Glad your feeling better Gabby and I want to thank you for your video. I think my husband has this problem so your video pointed this problem out. Take care
Beautiful tour, so many Awesome pieces. Love seeing all the old wooden bowls and stone fruit! Thanks for taking the time to do this for us while you are recovering, you are Amazing!
Thank you so much for making this video❤️. I see so many amazing pieces. I think that might be the most Mochaware I have seen at a show. My picks are the black and red child’s shoes, stone fruit, samplers and well… all of it. The Midwest Holiday antique show is held there in May. It is fabulous if you collect old Santas, Halloween and Easter. Thank you again Gabby. And you are so right about the price of admission being worth the learning experience.
Great show! We didn't buy much, just a duck decoy, but we learned a lot, then we came home and went through it again watching your video.😅 Thank you so much!
Hey, Gabby, the left handed issue was true of sad irons as well. If you find one that’s been well used, you can tell if the user was right or left handed by which way the handle leans! Imagine … the IRON handle conformed over time! I enjoyed every moment of this video! Thank you.
Thank you for this video! I can't make it to show and thrilled you were there for us. I would have wanted a barn lantern, burl bowl and the herb stand.
I've learned a lot from watching your videos. Old books, crocks, Americana, stole painting are just a few things I look for. Next time you are in the area of Canfield, you might want to check out Antiques at Ellsworth, has a mix of antiques and bono, fun shop!
Thanks for another tour of a beautiful show. You didn't give any attention to what I would zoom in on with interest but because I'm always looking for it, a couple pieces still caught my eye and that would be PA Dutch Chalkware figures....especially the spaniel.
Deanna, thanks for watching. Please let me know what you would have liked a zoom in on. I'll look for those in the future when I'm able. I had someone ask me to get closer to dolls in a comment months ago.
@@Thecapeonthecorner Along with PA chalkware (which is so hard to ever find) I really enjoy Mochaware....hopefully you can show some of that in new videos where it's on display....thank you for bringing us these wonderful tours
Hi Gabby, hope your eyes have calmed down now and you can see so much better now. Love seeing these shows, so special and fascinating. What I'm really curious about is, and this might sound silly but stone fruit? How are these formed, are they made from stone and how are they made to look so realistic, I'd welcome a tutorial.
I think is a clock box. Ive had one from my grandparents back when i used to get rid of everything old, and is now gone.....which I am so upset over it.
Also I left you a e-mail about you're cats with the marble eyes. You said you were selling them so I asked how much and if they're still available?could you get back to me on that Please thank you
Love antiques and appreciate a bit of age and wear but everything here looks so manky! If I was selling antiques there I'd be investing in a bit of beeswax polish and some elbow grease so you can actually see the objects rather than the grime.
Lol, well I didn't expect this sort of comment for a show like this, but obviously, the saying is true that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Thankfully true, or there would be a lot more people single for life. I'd suggest doing some research on the value of original patina on the earliest of pieces. I know there is at least one Antiques Roadshow episode where an antique owner displayed their piece, proud of the effort of elbow grease and work they just put into removing that early "grime" from the piece. Only to be informed that they had removed 95% of the value from the piece by removing the untouched patina. You do you. Thanks for watching. 😉 😜 😘
@@Thecapeonthecorner nah, there's a difference between patination and grime and most of that stuff in the video looked utterly grimey. In regards to their value - just how much valuable is there in something like a well worn chopping board? Lol, we're not talking Louis XIV furniture here! Some of that stuff could look amazing and I guess all I'm saying is just show these things a bit of love - replace the broken glass panels, give the wood a bit of feeding, get rid of the rust and the dust, make the objects shine rather than leaving them looking like they've just come out of a skip.

You got it! My goal is by next weekend.
@@Thecapeonthecorner, can't wait love when I see stone fruit in your videos. Wish I could find it around where I live.
Thank you for a wonderful video and your hard work . Rest your eyes now ❤

Thank you for taking us along, the one thing I am always looking for is stone fruits and veggies
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching. Much success on your next search!

Wow, I really enjoyed this. Thank you so much for your time and work!
Being a cabinet maker, I look for cabinets and wood items to reproduce and older tools. Woodworking has always been my love and life.

Could you Please show more Quilts and feed sacks and fabrics. I like sewing with these materials. Thank you 😊

Thank you for sharing. I have learned so much watching your videos.
That was fun and I see something I want LOLOL.. Time for some sleuthing.
If you go to the Hudson Antique Show fb page and look at the lives, Steve mentioned the dealers names in each booth. There are several lives.
@@Thecapeonthecorner You're the part of the sleuthing :)
Thank you for this video! I can't make it to show and thrilled you were there for us.
I would have wanted a barn lantern, burl bowl and the herb stand.
That floor cloth in the first booth!! ❤❤
Right?!
I absolument loved
a gorgeous maple corner cupboard with green stained trim around the wavy glass panes. Thank you for such an informative visit.
The tiny corner cupboard is so cute
The lg white goose in front of the quilt👍oh and Canadian goose later👍
Loved the wooden candle mold!

Thanks for the video. Our elementary school kitchen had those Sunbeam Bread screen doors. Great memories.

Good morning Pat! A stone fruit video is on my agenda. Hopefully by next week it will be up!
What a lovely show. Thanks for sharing.❤
Wow!
I look for oak pieces and Watts pottery 👍🥰
I would have purchased the bee skep
I think is a clock box. Ive had one from my grandparents back when i used to get rid of everything old, and is now gone.....which I am so upset over it.
Are hog scraper candlesticks all you think about?
But love your presentations!
Oh, my. That cast iron spaniel/pointer dog doorstop. Squeeeeeeeee
I let the items speak to me, then of course, I look for the right price!
What about the numbers on the game board?
What’s the name the first booth and phone?😊
I would have had to take the large butt basket hanging in the corner💯♥️
I know, right! It was so stunning! Loved that fish in another booth hanging from a corner too and those corn husk braids made a stunning display.
Affordable prices?
Also I left you a e-mail about you're cats with the marble eyes. You said you were selling them so I asked how much and if they're still available?could you get back to me on that Please thank you
I'm sorry Linda, those sold almost immediately. But keep watching. I'm always looking for more to offer.
The Prices 😮
I have many of these..
I honestly could never get those prices. Do they actually sell??

@@Thecapeonthecorner nope, sorry, just a guy who likes to see things looked after and cherished and not rotting in dust, rust and filth.
@alexmac337 well go go on and keep looking after your shiny stuff and we'll keep preserving history. Like I said, you do you.
