I used to go to Hudson Antique show held usually around Labor Day if I recall correctly… it was absolutely the best and it closed during Covid and never opened again. It was near West River Academy if I remember. Too bad I missed this one! Any chance you could post or remind us ahead of time when a good antique show is coming!!!? So sorry I missed this one!!
I do a lot of rug hooking & the ones in your video are beautiful, but they are not vintage/antique. They are new. I have almost all the patterns myself. They are gorgeous & extremely time consuming to make. They last forever with proper care. Definitely worth the money :)
What a wonderful show! How I wish I lived close enough to come, but alas I am in NY. Each and every piece is stunning however my main attention would have been on all of the Samplers and sewing notions. I fear my credit cards would have all been on tilt by the time I left. So beautiful and amazing! I have said I am so sick of wood because I've lived in a builder's houses most of my life and there was always so much brown wood. I didn't expect when you said to pick my favorite piece, I would choose something wood. All of these wood pieces are stunning. My favorites are smaller pieces of wood. There are a couple small tree branches with multiple carved wood birds! Hanging on a wall, I saw a small chunk of tree with a knot hole in it and poking out was a small carved owl. All of the cabinets! And I do love the frakturs and the samplers.

My partner bought a wallpaper box out of Jacque Branford’s booth. Seeing it in your video made him very happy! We also loved the grain painted corner cupboard. Also, do you have a video touring your or your parents home? There was a silhouette of yourself as a child. Which video was that? I can’t seem to find it! Thank you! ❤️
I was wondering if you have an idea what the wood dust pan shaped piece is that appears about 6:24 in the video that’s sitting on the C.CLARK chest? I saw one other piece similar to this one in one of your recent show tour videos. The reason I ask is, I actually have an early prim piece very much like this and I’ve never been able to find out what it was used for. Thanks for any help you might shed on this. Always enjoy your tours
You may want to take another look. It's actually a wooden oblong bowl turned upside down on that trunk. The highlight hits it on the side - so I can see how you thought it looked concave at that spot. You can email a picture of yours to me at gigi4224@yahoo.com and I'll see if I can help identify it for you.
Just didn't really have the time to make arrangements for early or even reproduction hardware. We discussed leaving the knobs/levers off all the interior doors, and not have the holes even cut - so that we could do them ourselves after we moved in but there are apparently code issues and in order to be sure we would get our occupancy permit we decided against it. In the whole scheme of things, I'm hoping the door hardware is just functional and hardly noticed.
I'm drawn to Tiger Maple pieces. I love the simplicity of the Shaker lines. But my taste is rather eclectic. I'm not a purist. We officially moved YESTERDAY! So as the boxes are getting unpacked I'll starting doing more episodes here inside the house. I'm most in love with the hunt of the pieces that call to me!
