Go to… laviniastamps.... for links to the products used in this and all our featured videos.
Hi all, Devid here with my second project as a guest design team member.
Today I made “Stag and the northern light”. I used both oxides and Element inks to create the northern light background.
For the stamps I used the Versafine Clair inks again. I hope you like it and enjoy!

Hi Devid, Everyone is right, the stag, and moose and deer as well, have a rack of antlers on their heads. Your card is gorgeous. Thank you for your tutorial.

Thank you so much for sharing your fabulous Northern Lights tutorial David. You asked what was on the stags head in English, they are called tines or points to his antlers 😀 xx

I did not know that you could layer other inks over distress inks and glaze. The white highlights really brought the stag to life! Beautiful card!

Love this video, Devid! Really excited to try the triple ink+glaze+ink technique. I have all the ingredients but never thought of mixing them together. When you added the colored pencil to the right tree, it started looking as if it's reflecting the Northern lights - really cool look. Love the inside of the card too. Thank you for this tutorial!

I am not sure if you have heard but you can spray projects you use pastels on with regular hair spray or a spray sealant from the craft store. You “northern lights” is beautiful.

I love the effect of the northern lights and the little bit of white gel pen... not too much as you have done is perfect... the only thing I'm not too sure about is the shininess of the flowers etc... it looks really out of place but otherwise a lovely composition...😊😍

What a wonderful card! Just beautifully done too. Great tutorial 🥰 well done. As a wildlife artist I loved the stag and with son's to make cards for this is a great guy subject. Good job on the highlights on the antlers and such. Just a artist thought though - try to put some dark shadows on the chest, leg and side areas (mucsles and such) of the stag. Will really make him look REAL and will give him real depth. I also would have put some shadows of his legs down on the ground etc. Just a tip from one artist to another 😉. Absolutely beautiful sky! thank you.
