Sir.. perfect explanation and thanks a lot.. i was confused abt heat loss in furnace with lumped system but this cleared it... looing forward for more videos
Yes. So when the temperature distribution for a fin was derived, they set it at T(x)-T(infinity)/(To -Tinfinity). In this video, the same applies but instead of T(x) we have T(t). Why do we express it as a ratio of temperature difference?
Sure, I case of fin we study steady state heat transfer means no effect of time on heat transfer. Lumped system is transient state i.e. heat transfer rate depends on time.T(t) is temperature at particular time...
It is object specific, for example , the diameter of sphere is taken as characteristic length, for vertical cylinder the height, for horizontal cylinder the diameter...
How is it possible that without temperature gradient, heat transfer takes place? In steady state, change in temperature w.r.t to time is zero. That doesn't mean that change in temperature is not taking place, but it is taking place in steady state condition which is also the case for lumped system. Then what is the difference between lumped system and steady state system? As in both system change in temperature w.r.t to time is zero. Please resolve my query.
@@Dr.AmitMandal You have mentioned the temperature to be same in the video, instead rate of change of temperature (with time) is same? (All the points in the body will have their temperatures decrease or increase uniformly with time although they can be different?
Though i fully understand your video but i do wanna recommend you to upload videos in HINDI with ENGLISH subtitles.. by doing that you would reduce your conversational explanation error. i hope i'm not disappointing you rather than letting you to know the fact and giving you a very transparent review.!
+Nabil Khatri thanks for your comments, I speak in colloquial english. It could not be grammatically correct but easily understandable. My most of views comes from America and english countries...
there are not many people who explain this topic with such practical example, great work sir.
Wow, what an explanation... practically....we really want this type of more explanation...thnks
Amazing illustration
I'll recommend your channel to every student in my class. Very well explained. Thanks a lot.
bandar alhazemy thanks
Very good explanation.
One of the best explanations!
Great sir..
What a clarity, thank you so much sir..
Very nice explaination sir. Thanks for showing us such simple and easy to understand examples.

Great explanation with practical applications nice bro tq
The Explanation is pretty good. Thank you, Mr. Amit Mandal
You have really good teaching skills, keep it up!
Thank you Sir..your video has really helped me a lot to clear my concepts.
Very nice 👌
thank you sir for such a nice explanation
Well ,neatly explained
Thanks sir for helping me alot🐂
So well explained sir
Why clg faculty is nothing in front of u sir. Very good explanation 😍😍😘😘
why is temperature profile with time expresses as a dimensionless equation?? As oppose to just T-Tinfinity = ...
I am unable to understand , eleborate some more...

However for lumped system , it is the volume / surface area of object

your explanation on watermelon, it is not lumped system because it have different type of molecule between outside skin and the inside fruit right?
+ahmad syakir no its only the temperature fall is with different rate at different points...
thank you sir

Temperature gradient with space is still present in lumped system

Energy balance me _msdt k jagah negative sign kyu liye sir plz guide me.
Because heat is is lost to surrounding, if it would have been gained, then positive..
@@Dr.AmitMandal ok sir. , thanks a lot and very gd morning. For giving my answer. !!!!!
most fabulous
sir video of natural frequency by i centre method please
very much helpful to understand the basic theory and equation. for me lumped system is now transparent as glass. thank you .
Very good video.

thank you: -) helped a lot
Thank you sir..
wonderful but please consider using diagrams for explanations
Negative sign is missing. e rasied (- biot * fourier )
+Milind Nikose it is there
Amit Mandal just noticed it. Thanks
Excellent
