Good to see you back on here mate , watched your other video about your problems , good to open up and talk about stuff. Stay positive and enjoy the family time , weathers getting better now , roll on summer
Hello James, nice to see you back and well. I have my own pond maintenance and installation business. I had a similar problem with a client burtons tf1000 drum after being on the phone to the burton help lines I found out there is a pre filter on the spray bar pump which is located under the cover on the side of the drum. After taking 2 minutes to take it apart and clean it it was working as good as new. I hope this helps you.
Another great video. It will be great when you start your grow on pond. Your first pond l saw was with home made filters. This was what got me into Koi keeping or water keeping. Many thanks for the video over the years.
Glad to see you back bud... Your explanation of what was going on in your life was so honest and healthy for other people struggling with their own demons with addictions. Stick with the Koi,. You must have a strong family around, you've got one here.Stay strong and Koi on
James might be worth a try mate, turn your mains water feed off to your spray bar on the drum. unscrew and take the spray tips out individually and make sure theres no grit in them as that will affect the width of the spray pattern. I've had it a few times. If not, speak to burtons, and you can buy wider spray bar fan tips. I've also done that before on one of my drums, too. They are only about a pound each. burtons will tell you where to buy them from as i can't remember, lol😂👍🏻
Great video mate! Really is interesting to see your set-up and all the kit you use. I'm far lazier and just have my pond running off a bog filter and plants. My pH and hardness is quite high in the East Mids though.
Another good video James 👍 Thanks for the tip on your other video about the tank syphon. I ordered the longest one and it's brilliant 🙂 No more buckets and water all over the floor 🤦♀️ Thank you 😊
They are and much easier to use. I'm not getting any younger and have three tanks in the house to do. Sadly I'm on my own as my husband passed away 7 months ago. There's a great big koi pond and a small goldfish pond to look after too. Good job I'm as crazy as he was about it all 😊 Its not easy though and life is very difficult. You seem to be doing well and I'm very pleased for you. Take care and look after yourself.
Wow, thanks I do try to keep it looking nice , not going to lie though I need to get the paint out in there at some point just to do a few touchups, the camera picks up everything lol 😂
@@JamesTHEKOIwhisperer123 if you twist the full spray bar, as in loosen the gray coupling then turn the gray pipe it will move where the nozzles hit the drum. The more you twist the further away it will hit the drum and the more the spreys will overlap. Will be a fine balance.
Great video James. Back on form 💪 so sorry to hear about Case. My boxer was the best dog ever and I was so sad when he died so I know what you are going through. Do you still use the Lithaqua stuff to help buffer the pH or was that getting too expensive?
Is it possible to filter too much and to be too sterile?? I only keep the usual pond fish, but try to replicate their natural environment as much as possible using continuous pressurised filtration, pond plants etc. I’m not sure I’m doing the right thing, but the fish are happy and healthy looking. Your system looks brilliant and the fish are beautiful, so your system obviously is doing a great job
As long as your fish are happy mate means you are doing it right There is no right /wrong way because everyone will tell you something different Just enjoy to hobby and do the best you can and most of all have fun doing it I say mate But I think the over filtering is not a bad thing myself
Another informative video James thank you. I had the same issue with the declorinator you can get the nipples with the spring direct from Vyair as I did its not expensive 👍🙏
Thanks for that but unfortunately she passed away we was really upset about that and I didn’t no how to deal with that at the time myself But now remember all the good times with her bless her just glad I didn’t make a lot of videos because we can look back at all the good times and memories we have of her on film But thanks for asking
Hope you like the video

James turn the spray bar away from the drum, as in more towards your self, just to the point the sprays overlap.
Will try but not 100% sore what you mean
