Nick, between the drone work, music, and taking us on a trip through a magical garden, this was a fabulous video!!! ❤ And I cannot tell you how wonderful it was to see your son, Sam, agrees with us. ❤ As a parent, I know how much it means that our children care. So, with that said...great job...have a great week!!! Thanks for sharing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Hey Denise, thanks kindly, your opinion really means a lot to me, so always love to read your kind words and feedback. Yes Sam's such a lovely lad, it made my day when I saw that. My kids know I post a video every week, but that's the first time one of them has commented. I screen shotted it to mark the occasion. Big love Denise 💖
Wow that moss was insane! The roof looks amazing and ready for maintenance repairs thanks to you. The property is simply gorgeous- what a beautiful garden! You excelled on this one!
Many thanks to the owner and you for the magic garden tour, very very nice. Impressive job, one can almost feel the roof breathing a deep sigh of relief! :) Cheers
Thank you Diego ❤️. Yes Indeed, the bags I removed full of moss were extremely heavy, I can't say for sure how heavy, but I would say the total weight wasn't far off a ton, so definitely worth removing that amount of weight from the roof 🫡
Hey Nick, damn that was an absolute carpet, luckily the felt was holding up underneath as that roof was in some very bad state. Loved the colours popping and the moss literally rolling off
Wow Nick that really was a LOT of moss 😮😮 My heart was sinking for them seeing all the damage there was as the moss came off especially seeing the bits of tile when cleaning and when cleaning up afterwards. Anyone with a lot of moss on their roof may be pulling together the cash to get it sorted after seeing this better than a new roof needed if they don't!!! Hope you and the family have had a nice week, it was sweet too see your son's comment 😍
Yeah I felt for them too, I think they new they were going to have to do some repairs, but not to that extent. Sam's comment made my day, that's the first time any of my three have ever commented, loved it. Big love Polgara 🥰
Oh my goodness, I've never seen such thick moss! Absolutely spectacular job Nick, loved all the explanations about what you were doing and information for the customer. Loved watching this one Nick! All the best to you and yours, be well young man. Big hugs from Texas to you!
I thought you might like this one Sandi ❤️. Thanks for the valuable feedback about my explanations, sometimes I think people might think i'm talking too much, and just want me to shut up, but it's been all good so far. Best wishes 🫶
Where to start with this one! Beautiful house, beautiful garden, stunning tiles which you made absolutely sparkle, Nick. And a huge clean up job at the end too. Brilliant job😊
Bloody he'll, that's a real carpet of moss Nick! Lovely roof underneath but lots of damaged tiles as you say, fair bit of work there for their roofer. Lovely job buddy! 👍
Thank you and the homeowner for showing us this beautiful property. I think this is your most juicy roof you have done. The tile color is amazingly lovely. BTW, I could watch your videos just to hear you say "glass". From southern US :)
I’ve never seen a roof that bad. And what a nasty clean up job 😂😂😂. Looks awesome Nick. Thanks for the tour of the magical garden. I really enjoyed it. ❤
That roof was shockingly bad. I was gobsmacked when you said they only wanted cleaning the one side. Yes, the rest of the roof was not in such bad condition, but really, better to spend your money where it is needed first, instead of something that you want, like a glass extension. You did an epic job on this one.
Goodness Gracious, Nick! I've not seen that amount of moss since I used to play in the woods of Western Massachusetts as a child. Thank you for including the enchanted garden tour and for explaining what the moss does to the tiles. You have done another fabulous work of art for these folks. Looking forward to your next video, as always.
That really came up nice Nick. Love the color or the roof. Fantastic cleanup too. You know, the other day I watched another pressure washer. And you know what, you are by far the best. Your knowledge, the care you take with the client's property, and your attention to detail really stand out. Thanks for sharing....enjoyed the garden footage too.
Nick ! You know I love ❤ these mossy roofs, this one was peeling off like a roll of sod ! WOW talk about a transformation 👍👍 Garden was truly beautiful 🥰 Thank you for filming it 🙏🏻
Woah, Nick, "a treat" is an understatement ❤ I usually prefer the sped up parts but this time the real time footage was awesome! Ripping off a real carpet. I tried to guess how many bags you would need just for this side, I had to guess 10. It were just 7 in the end but that's still a lot, phew. I find it funny and cute that even though the smaller roof has totally different tiles, the colors still fit so well 😊
You were almost exactly right Tatjana, you're very good at this. There was more around the corner that I didn't film as I was becoming super tired by then. It was 11 bags in total. I agree, different tiles on the lower roof, but still seemed to fit well ❤️
Another smashing job, Nick! That really was a carpet of moss. I’m surprised the customer didn’t have it cleaned until now given how well maintained the property was. The roof definitely suffered from the neglect. Glad you could help them out. Also, loved the music selection. Take care and have a lovely week! 🍀🌞
Great video Nick n Thks for the garden tour it was beautiful n yes almost magical. Wow the thickness of the moss blew my mind like a carpet. I know absolutely nothing about roof tiles yet I could spot damaged ones. Trained us well Nick 😂😂. Thks again Cheers from 🇨🇦
😲 woa! That was a massive amount of moss on this beautiful old building! And those tiles are so beautiful in their colors - you did such a great job uncovering them. Love the video 😍
Nick this must be the thickest moss I have seen you deal with. I remember the roofs which were overhanging with trees you referred to. A lot of work by you and the roofing guy will have quite a job on his hands. Good work.😀👍👍
I think you're right mate, i've had some bad ones in my time, and a lot of you guys have been with me to share it, but this one has got to be the worst one i've filmed yet. Yes indeed 😄, that's gonna be one busy roofer 🫡
I really love to see those multi color tiles popping after being cleaned. Great job Nick and I can only assume the homeowner must have been cash strapped not to get the entire roof done, since they are doing a glass extension. No doubt you will be back.
Nick what an absolute amazing video again, I love your videos and your work / work ethic!!! I’m not a fan of the music I like the sounds of the pressure washer!!!
It gets piled up in my small yard to dry out as much as possible, then I pay for disposal. The drier the better, as disposal is charged by the half ton 👍
@@DJGoldTrigger lol, yes it is, I’ve currently got that jobs amount sitting there, along with the previous weeks job, which had even more moss than this, I can barely move in my yard at the moment 😂
Hi Nick wow that was a lot of Moss on that Roof but you got it cleaned up really nicely and did a Excellent Job on that. Yes i agree that so nice for your Son to comment on the video. As a Parent myself i know it's means the world to us to hear that from our kids. Look forward to the next Video 😊
Aw thanks so much, yes absolutely loved having Sam comment. My kids know I have a channel, but that's the first time any of them have commented, Loved it. Love your comment too ❤️
This is going to be an Epic one 😨 - Yep it was 😄 Sooooo much moss to clean up wow !! The roof looks so pretty now, it matches the garden. Nice work Nick 🤩
Wow, I don't think I've ever seen that much moss. Holy cow!! How many bags were there at the end? And what do you do with all of it?? Crazy stuff Nick!! Love it!!
What an amazing difference. Always wondered about the cleanup. Good to see, and watching you drag the bag full of moss shows me how HEAVY it all is. Roof probably feels a lot better without all that extra weight on it too.
Missed this one so caught up now. Raised in East Leake small village between Nottingham and Loughborough then in 1951. Later on when I started adventuring I would wander over to West Leake many older buildings many with Moss. Emigrated with family as a lad in 1963 to Australia. Love the channel as in Queensland we have corrugated iron or aluminium roofs so watching your channel brings back memories. Cheers Howard
This is the first time I've seen something like this. It's good that you filmed it so you can't be accused of damaging the roof. Seems like they should have the other sides done as well so they don't get that bad. Did you spray some kind of anti moss treatment on the roof at the end? It's going to be a big job to repair all of that. Thanks for the clean-up shots. I did wonder about the windows. It was nice to see you wash the wall down. That wand looks heavy. You must be strong. Hello from Washington state in the US. I enjoyed your video and will be watching more.
Love to watch you work on those tile roofs!! How many years of moss growth do you think this was…the entire 50 years of the roof?? Boy,what a great job!!❤
Hey Sir Nick, that was brilliant !! The roof looks lovely without all that moss on top of it, even if there are spalled tiles to replace. At least now they can see them, yes ??

Beware of the competition.
Another great video. Have you considered using Hypo on the moss a few days before to kill it off? Once dead it will lose it strength and come off much quicker than when it’s green and strong
What a transformation Nick. That moss has certainly caused a lot of damage. Excellent work as usual. I am now thinking our roof needs cleaning. Our house is 95 yrs old and I do not think it has ever been cleaned. It will have to wait until we have the funds though. 😬😁😁
This is my home and I just want to say what a fabulous and hard working chap Nick is. Fabulous piece of work and has made a huge difference. Now for the roofers!

Hi. Now the moss is gone I suggest you get a roofer to l fix a copper tape along the top of the ridge. Rainwater hitting the copper and trickling down the tiles will carry copper salts and prevent that moss growing back. I shudder to think what weight the moss would be when saturated with rain.

Oh wow!!!! Ok #1 if the customer doesn't know and if you do any follow up let them know the back yard is like a beautiful Eden! I appreciate them sharing it's so lovely and it also gives me ideas for my own. I wonder just how much weight you took off the roof. I can't imagine just how heavy wet moss ends up being that thick on the roof! And not to mention over time when it's wet and freezes over time the tiles just can't handle all that. I hope the customer is able to get the tile bits fixed because it is absolutely logical to get the bits fixed before that glass addition is constructed. I love this video!!! ❤
What's the best way of getting moss from an old asbestos corrugated roof? I'm told not to jetwash but can I brush it off on damp days? Its safe to walk on.
Hey man always enjoy your videos over here in the deep south...btw what temp do you normally use to blast on roofs with the pressure washer? Also not sure if you've seen those leaf grabber tools but could be helpful in your line of work. Have a great day
Impressive result. Will they be having you back after the addition is finished so you can complete the transformation? With the thick moss like a carpet are you able to charge more? I have no idea how pricing works.
Thanks mate. They said they possible will get me back at a later date, but who knows. Yes, I will always charge more for the extra work involved on a job like this. Paying to dispose of the huge amount of moss isn't cheap 👍

Just a few questions.
Have you any idea of the weight of moss removed?
Is there a treatment that would prevent the moss from growing there again?
How much would it cost for the clearance you just performed?
How often would you recommend the moss would be removed?

What roof pole do you use and how do you rig up the chemical applicator? Great video always enjoy watching 👍
another top job 👏
Big thanks Salso
Great job, u will never be out of work. be proud of the result
Is there anything that could be applied to the roof to prevent moss from growing again?
