Today I'm going to tell you how to track raw materials during your batch manufacturing process. These tips will help you minimize waste, increase production yield, and streamline ordering from your vendors.
The first thing I have to do when trying to streamline any process or solve any problem in a warehouse is that I have to wrap my head around the customer's existing process. Their process is as follows; they receive goods from their vendors, label each pallet, and store the product in a bin location manually. When picking the customer normally has to find each item using their eyes, and then pick the product from the bin by hand. This manual process in both picking and receiving makes tracking inventory almost impossible.
This is because the distributor will have to spend significant time picking product, they will have constant product out of stocks, and tremendous loses in production yield. In this video I will take the time to explain the process needed to solve the problem, and what you can do to improve the situation in your warehouse today.

Can you cover how to best do inventory for a warehouse of forklift batteries that do not have an option for electronic scanning system yet? How did you cost the yield volumn??? lets take ur example, 5 lb of item a, required 2.5 lb, in time of getting back to inventory its 2.3 lb,, Yield volumn is .2 lb....... How you are managing this .2 lb in costing?? please reply

Any video on reception of Raw Materials in a warehouse? Raw Material would be thousand of bags of corn flour, corn meal, whole grain corn etc. These arive per 20 FC at the warehouse? How to control the reception? Barcode system? The polywoven bags can't have printed barcodes/
