  • Warehouse bins are product transition areas between a warehouse process and the one that follows. There are six bin types. In this video we will explain all of them and how they are used

I really love your videos! I really learned a lot, can you make a video what does an IE (industrial engineer) do specifically, like is there a time that i will be using computer or what, i am a 3rd yr student now, and i am nervous because i still don't know specifically what can i do to a company because our classes are online, we were supposed to do a plant visit a company but we weren't able to do that because of the limitations during pandemic, so i didn't gain any experience in the field 😭 hope you can hear me out thank you so mush!

Niki what size are these BiNs? Are they closed bins or just a rack section thats taped off? Can your systems work for small 1000sq ft warehouses with less than 100 skus?

You were right the first time the aisle is what you walk down. There is no space between aisles (just shelves, and hopefully inventory)

Hi, am from Africa and your videos are what I needed to bring in new ideas into our company. Kindly discuss how to unload and load stocks where scanners are not used.
The type of inventory that we deal with to be specific is consumer goods.thank you

It is a frame of preference. The terms are interchangeable.

I love all of these ideas, however, where I currently work, nobody receives correctly. All they do is sign the papers and send the truck on their merry way. The MOST IMPORTANT part of receiving to me is to ensure that the packing list matches what is ACTUALLY ON THE PALLET/IN THE CRATE. If you do not do this, you cannot go back to the logistics company or originating seller in the event of a short-ship. Once you sign those manifests to it's correctness, that's it. You have no leg to stand on.

Great point and I agree 100%. This is exactly what my customers do.

Just divide the responsibilities to your team and everyone will be answerable for his job. Place proper cross checks by getting the inbound/outbound documents signed after complete QC by designated officer. Then check the stocks randomly.
Keep the stock counted by cycle counts and wall to wall counts as its the backbone of inventory accuracy.
Be a leader and not a manager to run a warehouse smoothly...!!

Sorry about this. I don't know how I can help because your employer should be able to see that the additional manpower is necessary to maintain the quality of your warehouse.
