I always loved listening to Paul Allen!!! Favorite memories were coming home after church and listening to him call the game until I got home to watch it. Great passion
As a life-long and long-suffering Viking fan (who is not old enough to remember any Super Bowl appearances, but remembers all five NFC championship game losses since 1987), Paul Allen's passion is truly awesome, win or lose.
I previously worked at Canterbury for over 10 years and Pauls energy was always my favorite part of the races. He is right, in all that time I can not think of a single instace where he phoned it in. He is the point where passion and talent intercect.
Started listening to Vikings games on the NFL app a couple of years ago and it’s the greatest feeling in the world to hear Paul Allen describe the football game.
Paul is the man. I always turn to the radio on game days to listen to him. Guy bleeds purple. We we always get close and don't win in the playoff, my heart goes out to him. Glad he is regarded highly. PA ride on man. God bless you and may he continue to guide you.
I'm one of the radio announcers for the California University of Pennsylvania Vulcans football team and I get my inspiration from Vikings Paul Allen. And I'm also a Vikings fan who moved from Iowa to Pennsylvania in 2015.
As a season-ticket holder for the Vikings for over 30 years, I have to say Paul Allen is the heart of the Minnesota Vikings when we lose. He is in pain when we win. The man knows how to celebrate God bless your PA. We love you.
He don't give two shxts about you, or me, or anything else besides cashing paychecks. He's not "in pain" when Wilf's Vikings lose, and neither should you.
lol all he cares about is how much money he has riding on the game 🤡 PA is a ridiculous adult baby, and a hypocrite to boot. How can he equally promote both degenerate gambling and his moral religious garbage? And he does it every damn day, the moon could explode and PA would be talking about the Vikings 3rd round draft slot coming up in only 4 months, and wrangling some local schmuck to talk for 2 hours about the same trash they talked for 2 hours about yesterday.
Its been a pleasure being a Vkings fan and listening to his calls for 20 years now. Now if they could just actually win it all...Id love to hear that call.
I hope the Vikings never win a ring just so PA is denied the celebration he craves. The man is constantly trying to turn every moment into some historic feat. It’s not that important.
I have really liked Paul ever since I learned he grew up in Oxon Hill. I grew up in Old Town, right across the river. That river. We're probably both Jurgenson fans. Southern Marylanders, like Paul, always loved life, and in Paul it shows. It's his enthusiasm. It's not fake. It's so obviously genuine and that's what makes it him really fun to tune in to on a Sunday.
I like to pride myself in being able to listen to Paul Allen from the beginning-- when he took over the microphone from Jesse "The Body" Ventura's show after Jesse declared himself a candidate for MN Governor... Paul Allen and Jeff Dubay took Minnesota Sports Radio to a new level of engagement and "Fandom" (a PA term)-- He is OUR Minnesota treasure and share so much of his emotion each game. Thanks P.A! As a Vikings fan, hearing his voice yell "Thouchdoooown!" With that sort of vibrato for the past two decades, is just how football should sound to me. As iconic as "Goooooaaaal!" in soccer. He’s simultaneously a ridiculously childish over the top homer, and a whiner who consistently and vehemently ignores every other MN home team, no matter their level of success. I hope the Vikings continue their pattern of postseason choking, just for the sole reason of bringing PA sadness.
I didn’t know how many iconic calls for this guy I had memorized. Paul is a living legend! He’s inspired me for years. One of the best football commentators period!
