Many Minnesota Viking fans will mute the TV and listen to Paul Allen over the video feed. He gets us. So many iconic calls over the years.
Me! That is me😂😂
Yep. That's exactly what I did when grew up watching the Vikings.
Exactly what I do. It’s way more fun listening to another fan call the game
Yup, every game I love PA and Pete
I never thought of this. I’m doing this next time
“Let’s see Paul Allen’s radio call” - Patrick Bateman
Came here looking for this joke
@@HughJanus-ey6csKnocks it into the endzone! CAUGHT!!!
The iconic “and he’s lose!” When Adrian Paterson would break a long run was always amazing 🔥
*loose
He did one last year with dalvin that gave me goosebumps
"caught by Diggs..OH HE GOT LOOSE..AT THE 30...10...TOUCHDOWN..ARE YOU KIDDING ME?"
Iconic moments for all Vikings fans
Adrian Peterson and cordarrelle pat[t]erson would like a word with you.
I am not a Vikings fan but I find myself liking this guy so much that I scroll around trying to find his most memorable Vikings calls.
As a Vikings fan.. it’s so difficult to listen to PA. He’s such a homer that he exaggerates things. Like… a okay will happen and PA screams “Cold blooded connection to JJ!!!! 8 yards on first down!” Then he’ll say “2nd and 5” and you’re like huh?
@@baconator1550 you arent a real vikings fan, leave us
@@baconator1550I wish they still showed dislikes so you could see how real Vikings fans feel
Seahawks fan, and Paul Allen is probably my favorite announcer in the league after my team.
I would like to see Minnesota make a Super Bowl so he could react to one.
@@JPqbss tell me you have no life without telling me you have no life.. 😂
Proud to have him as our radio announcer, and I'm glad NFL fans seem to hold him in high regard
As a lifelong Vikings fan, we have known about him forever but I am glad the rest of the world is finding out how entertaining he is.
Even as a Bears fan this man is so legendary. I’d like to see the Vikings win a Super Bowl just for him.
Thanks man 🤙
Appreciated
He might explode if they win the big one
Pfft if they can't win it for Bud Grant and all those 70s Vikings, you can't find enough to win it for Paul Allen. Vikings are cursed. I come to accept that long ago. Bad seasons followed by heartbreaking seasons and the pattern continues. We aren't negative just realistic. The only thing the Vikings fans have is hope and that always ends in a loss.
@@puppethound Yeah, you guys have had many great teams that could just never get it done. The 70's Bud Grant teams, the explosive offenses in the Randy Moss era with Cunningham and Culpepper, that one year with Brett Favre where you were so close to the super bowl (sorry the Bears beat you to give the Saints the number 1 seed lol), then there were the recent Vikings who would spring up one year with great defensive units only to fall completely flat the next year after disappointing in the playoffs. 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2022 all great teams but there's always a better one apparently.
The best part of living in the 612 is tuning into 100.3 FM on gameday. Skol Vikes!
lucky for this MN fan in Cali that he's streaming gametime on KFAN
Even as a Packers fan I cant help but admire Allen. You cant bottle that enthusiasm and if you could it'd be worth millions. He is sour when the fan base is sour and he is insufferable when the fans are insufferable. He and his voice embody the Vikings fans and the highs and lows of the organization. Respect.
Paul Allen: Biggest Vikings Homer of all time. Good or bad, that's who he is.
Minnesota hasn’t been blessed with dominating sports teams, but we have some of the country’s best announcers and Paul Allen tops that list by a wide margin. I’ve always been grateful that he hasn’t gone to one of the big networks because I love his wear my emotions homer enthusiasm and energy. He IS a Minnesota treasure!!!!!
We can’t forget about Kevin Harland. He was the voice of the Timberwolves before he became national
Anthony Lapanta is also great for the Wild
John Gordon is another icon. Some epic Twins calls over the years, highlighted by some timeless 91 world series calls
One of the BEST NFL Commentator ever. RESPECT + for Paul Allen
The adrian peterson AND HES LOOSE!!! Gives me goosebumps every time and im not even a vikings fan.
We need him on Madden, he's so electric ⚡❤ love Paul Allen, he is a true state treasure of Minny. So awesome
I'm one of the radio announcers for the California University of Pennsylvania Vulcans football team and I get my inspiration from Vikings Paul Allen. And I'm also a Vikings fan who moved from Iowa to Pennsylvania in 2015.
The calls that he’s made in his career are legendary. He’s got my utmost respect for the loyalty he has to the Vikings
I always loved listening to Paul Allen!!! Favorite memories were coming home after church and listening to him call the game until I got home to watch it. Great passion
Lol same here. And you would think you watching it live. Great guy
I listen to 9 to noon every day. When I watch Vikes I mute the t.v. and listen to Paul. You are the best P.A. !
You just can’t hate this guy. He’s just amazing.
I can and I will. When the Vikings are losing he turns in to the angriest crybaby in the game
@@Zachygee412 I mean if you look at a game like the 2009 NFC Champ game, he makes complete sense of a play in which it was unrightfully lost. He is passionate about his team much like any sports fan, and speaks the emotions in a way that a fan would, which I feel is what a lot of radio hosts tend to miss. Professionalism is great to see sometimes, but it almost is more authentic to know what they feel as much as what you feel.
@@Zachygee412 would you rather have an announcer who has zero emotion behind the calls.....of coarse you would
@@Theel25 exactly right I love the emotions he puts behind it the good and the bad because it's the same emotions all of us fans are going through
I do. Try listening to his morning show. Seriously, try. He's awful.
As a life-long and long-suffering Viking fan (who is not old enough to remember any Super Bowl appearances, but remembers all five NFC championship game losses since 1987), Paul Allen's passion is truly awesome, win or lose.
My favorite PA line was "Their punter's terrible" 😂 last season in the 33-0 comeback game
I loved when Peterson was a Viking and Allen was doing the play by play and said "...and he's looooose!"
Chills every time. 😂
It was great too because it would happen on average 2-3 times a game - Peterson was in a league of his own. What a gridiron legend.
Just like joe bahama mama is
"I can't believe what I'm seeing right NOW... I MEAN YOU CAN TAKE A KNEE , AND TRY A 56 YD FG! This is not Detroit, this the super bowl!"
That's up there with some of the greats in my book. Dennis Green, Jim Mora, A.I, Pitino. Classic quotes.
"The bears are who we thought they were, We played him in the preseason who takes the third game of the preseason as BULLSHIT!! BULLSHIT!! If You want to crown them crown them!"
Denny😂😂
Gotta love Paul and don’t forget Pete. Best duo in sports radio.
Pete is underrated. He is the ying to the yang literally. Paul is so loud and nutty which is good but Pete keeps it from become corny. Awesome duo
His call in 2009 “this isn’t Detroit this is the Super Bowl” still hits too close to home
so many legendary calls in just this 6-minute video alone
Yep, all the big 1s are here.
I previously worked at Canterbury for over 10 years and Pauls energy was always my favorite part of the races. He is right, in all that time I can not think of a single instace where he phoned it in. He is the point where passion and talent intercect.
I used to go to college in Ely MN, and my wife and son lived down in Kenyon MN. Every weekend I would do the 5 hour drive to see them, but I would save the drive home for the Vikings game so I could listen to Paul Allen alone in my truck turned up loud. I remember one kick off, Percy Harvin just housed one, and he yelled out “you couldn’t take a flag off Percy today!!” I remember celebrating going up I-35 and laughing manically all to myself. I love that guy
Paul Allan's highlight calls are ones for the ages.
WISH There was newer updated NFL Top 10 Shows.
Paul is the man. I always turn to the radio on game days to listen to him. Guy bleeds purple. We we always get close and don't win in the playoff, my heart goes out to him. Glad he is regarded highly. PA ride on man. God bless you and may he continue to guide you.
Doing play by play is not easy. Props to all the announcer giving us their all. 👍
FINALLY, RECOGNITION FROM THE LEAGUE THAT PAUL ALLEN DESERVES.
HE'S LOOOSSEE, my brother and I quoted that so much as kids.
As a longtime 49er fan growing up with legendary radio voices Lon Simmons and Joe Starkey, I appreciate the legend that is Paul Allen. Enjoy and cherish him while you can Viking fans.
As a Vikings fan, hearing his voice yell "Thouchdoooown!" With that sort of vibrato for the past two decades, is just how football should sound to me. As iconic as "Goooooaaaal!" in soccer. Plus getting to listen to his radio show and interviews, I've probably taken him for granted, but it's great to see he's getting national recognition. I know he got a lot of attention for his call of the Minneapolis Miracle, and deservedly so, I'm just glad more people are getting to enjoy his work.
Its been a pleasure being a Vkings fan and listening to his calls for 20 years now. Now if they could just actually win it all...Id love to hear that call.
PA is an absolute legend.
This poor guy has suffered through so much as a Viking. So many heartbreaks...😂
"And he's loose!!!" would always look forward to his AD to the house calls on Inside the NFL
"Intercepted, I can't believe what I'm seeing 😐" is my favorite call all time.
I have really liked Paul ever since I learned he grew up in Oxon Hill. I grew up in Old Town, right across the river. That river. We're probably both Jurgenson fans. Southern Marylanders, like Paul, always loved life, and in Paul it shows. It's his enthusiasm. It's not fake. It's so obviously genuine and that's what makes it him really fun to tune in to on a Sunday.
We are going to the playoffs. We are going to win the super bowl. And Paul is going to call it.
I like to pride myself in being able to listen to Paul Allen from the beginning-- when he took over the microphone from Jesse "The Body" Ventura's show after Jesse declared himself a candidate for MN Governor... Paul Allen and Jeff Dubay took Minnesota Sports Radio to a new level of engagement and "Fandom" (a PA term)-- He is OUR Minnesota treasure and share so much of his emotion each game. Thanks P.A! Yadat!
I listen to pa everyday on 100.3 Kfan and I can’t explain how much I love this man. I’m so happy he’s getting national attention cause he is the best in the business
Had the opportunity to meet Paul before a game once and enjoyed a good conversation until my wife showed up and I became chopped liver. Love this guy.
NEED PA on some national vikings broadcasts somehow, i find myself listening to the audio of paul allen on nfl+ and watching the game at the same time on sunday ticket most weeks
When the Vikings win a Superbowl the Wilf's should give you a ring just like the rest of the team. You are HOF Mr. Allen.
Paul Allen is great. I'm a Bears fan and our radio announcer sounds like he's in high school.
I love the one where he’s like “THAT’S A FLAG!! THERE YOU GO YOU CHEATERS! GO AHEAD AND KEEP CHEATING!!!” 😂😂
this guy is the reason I will listen to radio still
Growing up near Minnesota, I'm so glad Paul Allen is finally getting the attention he deserves. He's the best.
the goat of commentary. He is a wild ride to listen to.
I didn’t know how many iconic calls for this guy I had memorized. Paul is a living legend! He’s inspired me for years. One of the best football commentators period!
It honestly always shocked me how he was never snatched up for a bigger gig. My dad and I used to listen to the radio and turn the television volume down just so we could hear PA. I understand he might be an acquired taste but you can’t argue he has some of the best energy in the “announcing game”. There’s a lot of radio play-by-play guys that’ll put you to sleep
Even as a Bears fan, he is one of the best in the game. Admire his passion he puts into each call.
I may not be a Vikings fan, but I deeply appreciated Paul Allen and his calls are legendary.
I was explaining PA to my coworker and he was so confused why I knew the Vikings announcer. Not every team is lucky enough to have a PA, we are and we will love him until he retires.
As a Vikings fan, I’m proud to say we have the best commentator in all of Football. Man, God has gifted this man! I have been listening to him through every heartbreaker, and he really emulates the entire fanbase.
His Calls are some of the best in sports next to Gus Johnson. His call against the cardinals is iconic. His partner "get back guys get back." and him go "CAUGHT NOOOOO. CARDINALS KNOCKED THE VIKINGS OUT OF THE PLAYOFFS." Will forever live in calling hall of fame.
I moved to Florida two years ago and follow the Vikes and listen to PA via KFAN.
As a milennial Bears fan, I know pain like Paul Allen does for the Vikings. He's just a passionate fan and I respect him for that.
The best phrase "AND HE'S LOOOOOSE!"
The creepiness factor has always been off the charts with this cat
Lifelong MN Vikings fan and huge Paul Allen fan too! He’s full of excitement and love his enthusiasm! I met him at training camp and very classy nice dude 👍
The honor's all ours Paul! It's such an honor to listen to a Master of his craft, thank you!
We are lucky fans to have Paul Allen as an announcer
PA...Voice of Excellence
The Best, and my favorite announcer!
Paul Allen is the 🐐
My favorite call was the Favre TD against San Francisco. The Washington Commanders radio announcer is pretty good too. You may be hearing about him in the years to come. His name is Bram Weinstein.
We love u P A
Lebron only just found out what all of us Vikings fans already knew. Now the rest of the world gets to discover this talent. Our home stadium pxp guy is also the best
Literally well up from those calls and the memories with them. Good and bad he’s the best
I've met him several times, his ends factions with Peter North is hilarious 😂😆🤣😆
I just feel the pain from hearing what happened to the vikes for their entire existence and you can basically hear it all in the disappointment in Paul Allen’s voice I love him
I sat Courtside at a wolves preseason game back in 2015 and PA sat in the seats behind us. That man never stopped talking once and i enjoyed listening to all of it
Paul Allen is a great example of someone so good at their job its just automatic to enjoy his commentary
Had the great pleasure of meeting Paul at the Vikings v Browns game in London, despite prepping for the game he took 2 mins to talk to me and was such a gent
lets give a moment to ask paul allen to come back on fox and announce our games. i havent heard him ever since week 16 of the 2022 season when greg joseph hit the 61 yard boot. please paul, come back.
As a Packers fan, I can confirm that PA is the GOAT. I listened to him on PA and DUBAY in college, and this guy is incredible. Great passion and energy…just what you want to listen to. I still tear up with joy at that Favre call!
Instant goosebumps!
The thing I love about Paul that I wish more announcers would do is he just keeps it real and says exactly how he feels. He has a true love of the game that is palpable when you listen to him. I remember last year when the Vikings were making the 33-0 comeback and we were making a push in the last seconds of OT to get in FG range and a Colts player was laying on Jefferson to try and run time out. After the flag was thrown Paul proceeded to scream "WELL DONE YOU CHEATERS. GO AHEAD AND KEEP CHEATING." I mean seriously, this sounds exactly like something you'd hear watching the game at your buddy's place. I laughed when I first heard that from him. Maybe a little much but that's passion and I love to hear it from such a legendary announcer.
This MAN is a NATIONAL TREASURE 🙏💯💪🇺🇲
Listen to him on kfan at 9am in the mornings. Super great guy
I wish he coulc be the voice on the TV to.
As an MN factory worker, Paul Allen is our 12th man on the field. And for the passion he bleeds on the call, we love the guy.
As a Vikings fan I didn't realize what an absolute treasure we had in Paul Allen until watching a thanksgiving game at the grandparents a while back. This guy brings the energy and oh boy do we love him! Watching him go viral for that Bills game was super cool, love to see him get the recognition he deserves.
Simply the best in the business.
He is Chick Hern of Football! Would love to hear Paul Allen say near the end of a Vikings broadcast:
"The game's in the refrigerator, the door's closed, the light's out, the eggs are cooling, the butter's getting hard and the jello's jiggling.".
I love Paul Allen best part of listening from Florida when the games aren’t on air
Paul Allen is a complete legend. And I would like to see him to win a championship some day
Paul!
I’ve been there where he was commentating canterburry park and he was amazing
Paul Allen is right up there with Gus Johnson, Vin Scully, Steve Rable, Pat Summerall, Al Michaels, Frank Gfford, Howard Cosell, & John Madden as some of the best football commenters ever.
Don’t forget Joe Buck
Let’s not get carried away. I’d say he’s right up there with Foster Brooks
Let’s not get carried away. I’d say he’s right up there with Foster Brooks
lmao
Merrill Reese
We are so lucky to have him. He is absolutely the best!!!
Ahh, PA.. Finally, getting the love & respect he deserves. 🙏🏼💜
I love seeing this!!
i love paul allen
PA is the most honest awesome announcemer EVER... I used to be gone for some of the best games while racing and I had to listen to the Vikings in between heats or whatever and it's almost more fun than watching 👀 the games he paints a perfect picture of what's going on it's almost like your there...
Great Game callers are in which the games have been built on...Let us not forget them...
I love tuning into KFAN on Sundays for Vikings games
This guy is amazing
