As a massive Wendy fan, this fight kinda hurt to watch/read. She got wrecked until she used Irene's magic and until Irene herself stepped in. Also, Irene is such a troll with that line about him being dead in terms of being a wizard, nearly gave poor Wendy a heart attack lol.
Yeah, I'll mention it in the next video, but Wendy should've absolutely bodied Nebebbeebeb (can't remember his name even now) and I don't like how she's like "I've never been more scared" - sarcastic: like this guy ranks above Acnologia and Ezel... And it's great how Irene is a troll like that, shows she still has that sadistic streak but has mellowed out.
To clarify the white mage has the ability to steal magic and the ability to control people/ their magical output. For example Juvia had broken free from the mind control but still had 0 magic.
I really like Wendy getting Irene. I do think Wendy is kind of de-powered sadly, but honestly I think that's an issue overall with 100YQ, like Laxus and Erza going down so quickly last episode or how easily the team was bodied in episode 3 by Diabolos. I'd say it's kind of an unfortunate symptom of the story continuing after Acnologia and Zeref. I am still happy to be along for the ride, I just wish the writing made the villains stronger not the heroes weaker. I kind of love how Touka forgot Mest, it feels very Meta because everyone forgets him until he shows up. I kind of miss Doranbolt sometimes.
It's a common theme in anime (and FT) where the heroes somehow seem weaker at the beginning of an arc/when new villains appear to artificially increase the stakes or make the new villains seem stronger than previous ones. It's a symptom of the power creep problem where writers eventually hit the ACTUAL strongest (for FT it was Zeref and Acnologia) and then have to continue the story after beating them (like you said). And as a Wendy fan (also applies to Lucy too) it's frustrating when they SHOULD be able to deal with a foe but think they can't. Like Lucy should've taken out at least Elfman as well when she used that Duo Star Dress form/attack a few episodes ago. And in Dragon Force, Wendy should've taken Nebaru (had too look at my description to remember his name) at least as equals.
Wasn’t expecting to see Irene again, but I’m SO here for it ❤🤩

29:38 God Serena only has 8 not 10 Dragon Lacrimas and as a manga reader, don't worry they will explain in the far future
