Light is light, if you learn to use the camera it wont matter if it is 3200K or 5400K. People need to know how to shoot in natural sunlight as well as indoor. Mr dog poop can afford any lights he wants and he chooses cheap lights because they make sense. Don't cave to the peer pressure, do what works and you can afford.
