I tried something similar but only using thrusters and dear god that thing was unstable. It had 4 arms that changed position and while it did work, it was the most unstable thing ive made in a while
I did that and it was really good. I had sails on it for a solar panel like effect aesthetically but it ended up doubling as a lift surface in atmosphere.
Idea: a battle with semi exposed logic. The vehicles should have at least a few pieces of semi exposed logic, so as the fight happens you would lose controls and things would spiral into chaos, ( you could also just have all the controls going through logic gates ) .
Flying through tunnels in Trailmakers with the new space parts is so much fun. It was easier for me because all my spaceships have downwards facing thrusters that are activated by speed sensors, so if they are level they can hover. It also helps with turning, especially in combat or at slow speeds on a planet.
12:17 Wandering spacecraft is a cool idea. Try making a uncontrolable spaceship/drone that wonders around randomly, but is still somewhat clever (like avoiding walls, keeping somewhat consistent direction, but still doing sharp turns and stuff). It might not be possible, i don't know if there are any random logic blocks
7:07 you could've used 3 logic gates, one XOR gate that activates the thrusters and 2 of any gate that activate the XOR gate at the press of a button. The speed sensor goes into the XOR gate and as it is the only active thing it will activate the thrust, but, as soon as you press a button, the two logic gates activate at once and because they are two (more than one) they will deactivate the XOR gate so that even if the speed sensor is active it wont activate the thrusters.
In the dev blogs, one of the vehicles they showed had a thrust vectoring system that looked interesting. You should try to build a craft that acts like a space vtol.
Ohh that would be fun, not only is it a sort challenge of piloting skills, but since it is not a straight line, there is the matter of how fast, vs how easy to maneuver it, which those 2 things often stand in opposition to each other
As for multiplayer I think a survival challenge of fast moving explosives would be interesting. Maybe you can find a way of making a bullet hell of stuff orbiting around the 1g asteroid and then let everyone try to survive it, maybe orbiting the opposite direction. The slow drift position movement of this creation would probably be useful for making dodging difficult.
I wonder if the developers are thinking of a giant alien mothership for one of their future updates? Also a challenge for the scrap man: to craft an incoming projectile avoidance system for any craft. Land, sea, air and/or space.🤪
Winged propeller planes duking it out inside Hulrum would be a bit like flying around on Titan. Way less gravity, and as much or more air compared to Earth. Battles would get even more interesting, dodging between the pillars.
I want to know if the new gyro parts will help in building aircraft, especially anything that hovers in place. I've also read (in a YT comment) that sails have aerodynamic interactions in space... And I think there's a lot of interesting physics experiments and machines to try to make out of quantum rudders.
7:09 an easier way (and my way) to do it is have your speed sensor hooked into an XOR gate and have that XOR gate hooked into your thrusters. Then have another XOR gate set to a negative output and hook it into the first XOR gate to turn your thrusters off. Then you put your thrust on the top and set it to the opposite control as your lift.
Perfectly fine circuit, most people use a distance sensor facing a block instead of an altitude sensor but beyond that it's the same, so don't be so hard on yourself, logic in Trailmakers is just more cumbersome compared to the logic blocks in Scrap Mechanic 😉 You can connect seats to logic blocks for a signal when the seat is in use to deal with your drifting away issue, or just do the same sort of thing for all directions 😁👍
For the down vs up thing, it's an altitude sensor going into an or gate, and then you put the ctrl in the backwards input spot, and then the or gate into the and gate.
Have you been to the black ball singularity in the middle of the more active asteroid field? I'm not sure if that's what it's suppose to be but it kind of acts like a black hole. I landed on it no problem but had to build up some forward momentum and circle it to break away from its gravity:) Kinda cool:) Keep up the great work holmes:)
An idea for a video you could take a few of your space creations and see just how worse they handle in the other maps and take old creations from old battles and stuff and see if they could work in space if quantum rudders are added
Video idea: you can revisit your real-life vehicle recreation series by recreating RX-78 Mobile Suit Gundam. It was fictional for quite a long time, but now it exists in real life! In the show it was used for space combat, so after you build it, you can fight some space pirates at Nassau!
Hey you should do a zero G battle race. Basically Racing around the trailmakers space map in cars that can glide in space. you would have to dodge other peoples weaponry, avoid NPC fighters and manuever to different locations whether they have atmosphere or not.
I got a suggestion. How about 2v2 Frankentank like the franken plane video One will build the body and the other will build a turret and i have a twist, the turret will have 10 powercores and the body will have 20 powercores(only for special stuff you guys can set the power cores for the propulsion) like deployable shields, more engines etc. I will be fine if this doesn't get into a video but im just throwing my idea out there (i will be happy if atleast scrapman sees this)
Scrapman! Last time you grabbed onto an enemy plane, you hooked on from behind. Now that you're in space and the enemy tries to get behind you, you should see if you can attach yourself to an enemy spacecraft from the front!
You can us that dampener not just for planets, but also for your larger ships. You could have it so the ship automatically stopped when you aren’t thrusting.
Day 4 of asking Scrap Man for Trailmakers "Build Swap": Everyone makes a creation, but each round everyone has one persons creation, and it switches. As in round one is Yuzi's creation, round two is ScrapMan's creation. A lot of strategy can go into this I think, as well as this could be with any creation. You'd have to make a creation that works for you but noone else, and somehow not slip you up. And you also need to be able to learn other people's creations on the fly.
You should build like a full-on space station that's like really big that's like self-orbiting around that rock that you found earlier that has the gravity that you can like park other ships at and stuff and it will adjust itself
Hey scrapman! Can you tell me the details and ins/outs of your height stabilising/booster hovering system in this build please? I’ve been having a lot of struggle trying to figure it out for my own builds. Even doing the things from video tutorials on TH-cam, I can’t seem to get it to work properly on my builds
Could you do a sort vid about how to set up the logic? For a simple mind such as myself it was difficult to try and set up and it still isn’t working as intended, if you could that would be great!
You should really check out space engineers. It’s survival isn’t that good but the actual building mechanics are fun and it would make for an interesting battle
Hey scrap, i wanted to ask you about that fist fighter ship you made because i saw that when you hit downwards thrust there was a gimbal exausht in your rocket thruster, but i thougt that gimbals always fire UPWARDS
Random: Skreeee! **Hits the deck, screeches, then crawls quickly like a goblin across the floor up the wall and across the ceiling to the upstairs and disappears**
Is it possible to cancel the effect of space rudder, like if you push a block in its back. If it work, you could toggle between hyperspeed, and maneuverability
u can acually break the sound barrier in space on the planets, i did when i crashed my space craft on a planet going 100000 kmh, but the planet must have a atmosphere
You can use the gyros as thrust if you use the spinning servo. I've made a working helicopter completely using gyros for the thrust. Should see if they can break the sound barrier, hint hint...😏
An over 1000 or even 2000 Blocks giant Star Destroyer for example the Venator Class against small Fighters like TIE, X Wing&Co. 4 people share the Destroyer and it weapons and 4 are battling against it.
hmm i wonder from which planets would it be possible to jump away basiclly without using any propulsion while in the air and a ground vechicle kinda launching itself from like a kraten or a hill on the planet to yeet itselfs up
you only needed the speed sensor, the input button OR, and the AND lol. just hook the sensor and unput OR into the AND, then the AND into the thrusters
You should build a spaceship that has 2 modes: One for traveling in deep space, and one for traveling in the atmospheres of the planets
I tried something similar but only using thrusters and dear god that thing was unstable. It had 4 arms that changed position and while it did work, it was the most unstable thing ive made in a while
ADD SOLAR PANELS THAT ROTATE INTO WINGS
True
I did that and it was really good. I had sails on it for a solar panel like effect aesthetically but it ended up doubling as a lift surface in atmosphere.
like a vtol of sorts
Idea: a battle with semi exposed logic. The vehicles should have at least a few pieces of semi exposed logic, so as the fight happens you would lose controls and things would spiral into chaos, ( you could also just have all the controls going through logic gates ) .
Such a cool idea this comment should get a bunch of likes
That’s a cool idea.
EMPs would make this so much more chaotic...
Flying through tunnels in Trailmakers with the new space parts is so much fun. It was easier for me because all my spaceships have downwards facing thrusters that are activated by speed sensors, so if they are level they can hover. I predict that he's gonna break the sound barrier in the hulrum caves
Good idea
bro you're never gonna believe this 😂
Bro he just did this today.
I hope he notices my prediction skills@@dogebro1
im proof that predicting the future is real@@lake9496
You should do a dogfight with planes inside hulrum. It would be interesting to fly a plane in low gravity
Might not be enough Atmo for Planes... but I could imagine Jets bein doable... Mimi Jet Dogfighting could be fun to watch inside Hulrum. :D
12:17 Wandering spacecraft is a cool idea. More Scrapman BABY!!
It looks like a Thunderbird 4 made for space, I like it!
It'd be fun to see how fast can you navigate that course with the rings. Set a record maybe?
Ohh that would be fun, not only is it a sort challenge of piloting skills, but since it is not a straight line, there is the matter of how fast, vs how easy to maneuver it, which those 2 things often stand in opposition to each other
Multiplayer idea: what about adogfight inside the Hulrum? Variable gravity & constant need to avoid the pilars might make it kinda interesting.
Looks like a sweet place for hover mech battles 😊
you should try attach yourself to an asteroid and have battles with the asteroids by throwing them
I wonder if the developers are thinking of a giant alien mothership for one of their future updates?
Also a challenge for the scrap man: to craft an incoming projectile avoidance system for any craft. Land, sea, air and/or space.🤪
a dogfight inside this planet would be amazing!

You guys should do a spaceship evolution race using the ring course!
Video Idea: Do a Space Race through the Rings (maybe even without the quantum ruder and Gyros, but that would be very hard)
Yes, please
Fighters VS bomber IN SPACE!
0:38 Im glad ScrapMan actually read the comments
Do a rover battle on the GC4020 with downwards thrust
7:09 an easier way (and my way) to do it is have your speed sensor hooked into an XOR gate and have that XOR gate hooked into your thrusters. Then have another XOR gate set to a negative output and hook it into the first XOR gate to turn your thrusters off. Then you put your thrust on the top and set it to the opposite control as your lift.
Please make a video on thrust vectoring like the F22. It could help you in space and atmosphere!
Try making a full stealth spacecraft, maybe using dark blaster and camo.
Perfectly fine circuit, most people use a distance sensor facing a block instead of an altitude sensor but beyond that it's the same, so don't be so hard on yourself, logic in Trailmakers is just more cumbersome compared to the logic blocks in Scrap Mechanic 😉 You can connect seats to logic blocks for a signal when the seat is in use to deal with your drifting away issue, or just do the same sort of thing for all directions 😁👍

hello scrappy. thanks for the content and keep up the good work
An idea for a video you could take a few of your space creations and see just how worse they handle in the other maps and take old creations from old battles and stuff and see if they could work in space if quantum rudders are added
Day 3 of asking scrap to do a space battle evolution
Definitelly agree that Hulrum space battle would be awesome. Pls dew it.
Do bombers vs defenders but the bombers drop dynamite and you guys use emp's but they have to drop at an angle going down to make it like a bomb
Video idea: you can revisit your real-life vehicle recreation series by recreating RX-78 Mobile Suit Gundam. It was fictional for quite a long time, but now it exists in real life! In the show it was used for space combat, so after you build it, you can fight some space pirates at Nassau!
I have found a couple of race tracks. Would love to see a multiplayer Monday race
You should do a wall climbing rover battle inside one of these planets
Hey you should do a zero G battle race. Basically Racing around the trailmakers space map in cars that can glide in space. you would have to dodge other peoples weaponry, avoid NPC fighters and manuever to different locations whether they have atmosphere or not.
You should have a wall Rover fight hulrum, like fighting on the ceiling, walls and stuff like that in a land vehicle.
Aimless flight through rings sounds like an Easter egg for Superman 64 lol
the angling ruins it because you can sort of sideslip into the ground without activating the speed sensor, since you tilted the plane that it works on
I got a suggestion. How about 2v2 Frankentank like the franken plane video
One will build the body and the other will build a turret and i have a twist, the turret will have 10 powercores and the body will have 20 powercores(only for special stuff you guys can set the power cores for the propulsion) like deployable shields, more engines etc. I will be fine if this doesn't get into a video but im just throwing my idea out there (i will be happy if atleast scrapman sees this)
I would love to see the effects of hoverpads in space and when entering a planet
have 2 thrusters for strafing on each side. and the rear thrusters should be a little stronger to counteract the drag from the quantum Ruder.
Scrapman! Last time you grabbed onto an enemy plane, you hooked on from behind. Now that you're in space and the enemy tries to get behind you, you should see if you can attach yourself to an enemy spacecraft from the front!
You can us that dampener not just for planets, but also for your larger ships. You could have it so the ship automatically stopped when you aren’t thrusting.
you need to do some themed battles like for example star wars or star trek etc that would be awesome
Day 4 of asking Scrap Man for Trailmakers "Build Swap":
Everyone makes a creation, but each round everyone has one persons creation, and it switches. As in round one is Yuzi's creation, round two is ScrapMan's creation.

Do a rover battle on all 3 different planets!
The bouncy Qrudders are driving me crazy
you should do a space battle with two fighters and one bigger ship with one gunner and a pilot
You should build like a full-on space station that's like really big that's like self-orbiting around that rock that you found earlier that has the gravity that you can like park other ships at and stuff and it will adjust itself
Star Wars themed space battle!!!!
Hey scrapman! Can you tell me the details and ins/outs of your height stabilising/booster hovering system in this build please?
I’ve been having a lot of struggle trying to figure it out for my own builds. Even doing the things from video tutorials on TH-cam, I can’t seem to get it to work properly on my builds
on top of Hulrum would be a good place for 'space beyblades'
might need a negative power gimbal to stick to surface
Could you do a sort vid about how to set up the logic? For a simple mind such as myself it was difficult to try and set up and it still isn’t working as intended, if you could that would be great!
Short*
Next video idea: a dogfight with cars on one of the planets
The shape and color of Scraps' ship reminds me a bit of the Pokémon Electrike. Had to look up the name since I don't know much about Pokémon.
You should use some hover pads every now and then for on planet exploration
The cave is a wink towards the WoW area called "deepholm", the devs like that game, same goes for the giant mushrooms area...
MM idea: do a space race utilizing the space rings at Hulrum, EMP allowed
Idea: try to recreate the Interstellar docking scene
Me at 10:22 realizing that the cave he's entering is called Hulrum, which in Norwegian can be translated to "hollow room" or cave. :D
im danish too like the creators and when i see hulrum it makes so much sense because hul means hole and rum means room so holeroom
Love the videos👍
You should do a 2v2 dogfight but each team has 1 plane.one could fly and one could shoot.
They can have a negative output.
I’ve been doing this with al my hover builds and i used it a lot with the airborn map
Now you need hover drone PVP combat.
You should test how hover pads work in space
You should build a small, artificial planet with magnets, so it has artificial gravity and try to orbit around it
You should do a ground battle on the cargo ship using down force it would also allow you to go on its sides
Random: Skreeee!
**Hits the deck, screeches, then crawls quickly like a goblin across the floor up the wall and across the ceiling to the upstairs and disappears**
I actually got a Sonic Boom caused by my vehicle glitching out, i was shocked cuz i didn't even think it will happen cuz you're in space
How do you build that cool looking space car at the beginning of the video
you should try touching the crystals in hulrum, also you might want to double check your videos description
I went back and watched the first Q&A and still cant belive you used to teach kids circus tricks
I just realized that couldn’t you use the speed sensors on that one ball in the asteroid belt so that you constantly stay in orbit using thrusters?
Is it possible to cancel the effect of space rudder, like if you push a block in its back. If it work, you could toggle between hyperspeed, and maneuverability
Please play tron in space it would be great
u can acually break the sound barrier in space on the planets, i did when i crashed my space craft on a planet going 100000 kmh, but the planet must have a atmosphere
4 people share the Destroyer and it weapons and 4 are battling against it.
your ship almost looks like Peanut Hamper from ST: Lower Decks
Please try out the hover pads in the low Gs.
hmm i wonder from which planets would it be possible to jump away basiclly without using any propulsion while in the air and a ground vechicle kinda launching itself from like a kraten or a hill on the planet to yeet itselfs up
I want you to do a biathlon on all the different planets and build a vehicle according to the terrain
Its da best builder mr scrap man
Hello I am very new to logic and making circuits. Is it possible to have the altitude stabilization toggle on and off? and if so how
Spaceship jousting. Fly past each other with tnt tipped "lances" of diagonal tubes. Head to head only.
NEXT: break the sound barrier with the new thrusters!
just waiting on youtube to be first lol btw love yr vids scrapman
I saw those rings when I was building Jetfire for space travel
I wonder how they work
hook speed sensor into and gate, put LControl into and gate, put and gate output -1, hook and gate into thrusters
you only needed the speed sensor, the input button OR, and the AND lol. just hook the sensor and unput OR into the AND, then the AND into the thrusters
Break the sound barrier with the space thrusters
Do the rocket fight again in space, the rockets should go much faster and straighter
Could you upload some of the creations to the steam workshop.
With all the new parts you need to revisit the evolution or de-evolution videos and create new ones
