Neck Point Walking Tour, Nanaimo, BC

Thank you for joining us on our 3rd walking tour. This time we trekked out to Nanaimo mid January, 2025. We had a lovely walk along the ocean just before sunset. J took some pics along the way. Our walk takes us around the park, but there is so much more to explore when you visit.

About the park:
Neck Point Park is a scenic 36-acre waterfront destination in Nanaimo, known for its rugged cliffs, pebble beaches, and Garry Oak groves. Acquired in 2009, it offers stunning views, making it a favorite for photographers and nature lovers. The park is also a hotspot for scuba divers, with vibrant marine life, including a rock wall home to a friendly octopus. Visitors can enjoy watching Orcas, sea lions, and otters, especially during herring season when the beach is filled with roe. This environmentally sensitive area provides a serene, natural experience for all.
