- This is the story of 82-year old French snow / ski racer and mountain biker, Jacques Houot , who is a local legend as an age-defying athlete and an incorrigible flirt. Houot has survived some two dozen close calls with death, including avalanches, cancer, car accidents, a heart attack, drowning and even attempted murder. Frenchy inspires us to stay positive today.

Saw this at the BANFF movie festival in Sweden a couple of years ago. It really struck me and made me feel a lot. A really great short film! 🙏🏻🌟
I saw at the Banf Film Festival tour at the University of Minnesota last Friday. Best film shown by far, everyone laugh and fell in love with Jacques. I was under whelmed by the films this year and this film was shown last and made my night.

It is never too late for a happy childhood. He is a 15-year old boy in an old man's body :-) these 15 minutes definitely have an impact on my life, that's for sure!

I met Frenchy in 2012 during a mtn bike event on Snowmass. He is Everything he seems to be in this awesome video! At the time I was a bit taken aback when I met him, now I am seeing this video many years later and can not believe the many life stories he has. Ha. NO PROBLEM!

We saw it yesterday at the Banff Film tour in Ann Arbor... What a hoot !!! At 20 years younger than this guy, with not so many achievements but with an almost equal number of injuries and "almosts" - my family now calls me "Frenchie"... I guess I'm starting a bucket list to keep up with him ;-)

I had the privilege of meeting "The Frenchy" in a gondola on the way up to French Press, his favorite downhill run in Snowmass. He is a special man - I wish I'd seen this video before meeting him (so I could ask him about the gun incident!), but all the same it made our day to meet him. Thanks Jacques for the laughs -- this world needs more of them!
