For a book suggestion Libido Dominandi by E. Michael Jones. (A Catholic academic). Just finished it recently and found it a very good read about the history of the sexual revolution.
How does your bro look like your twin and yet have a completely different voice? 🤣 My sis and I also sound the same. We have been mistaken for twins but I’m 5 years older.
I don't understand how the confusion happened with libertarianism (like the fad of Christian libertarians). While Conservatives can have many common policy leanings as libertarians, the foundations of liberatarianism are more enlightenment philosophy. Conservatives do not see freedom (as defined by modernists) as the ultimate goal of politics. We see freedom as the taking up responsibilities and having the privileges that may come with being responsible (to God's precepts if a Christian conservative). Granted, jurisdictions need to be cleared up and dispersed when the culture is able- hence why conservatives align with libertarians on smaller federal gov't, separation of leadership of church, state, etc.
I think it's more about a ideological pipeline where one goes from neocon to paleocon, but in between they go through a libertarian phase. They veer into libertarian thought because they see government as the problem or want limited government but go paleocon when they realize all laws legislate morality.
Literally no guidebook needed. Just strongly disagree with the left on any one or two things, or criticize them I some fashion. That's all that's really required.
This was great discussion
Always a pleasure to see a guest appearance from gordy4justice.
We are diminished by the passing of Sir Roger Scruton… his documentary on beauty is essential viewing. Interestingly hard to find…
Love it! Your dad taking Scruton to the woodshed and giving him what for 😂

This book was honestly a little hard to follow on audio. I’d recommend digging into the physical book!
Agreed
Seeing you and your doppelgänger brother together on screen is unnerving
