To this day, I would argue that the removal of Vortex is probably one of the biggest mistakes in the park's recent history. I was still in high school and finishing up my first ever season at KI when it was announced they'd be demolishing it. Now I'm nearing the end of my Senior year of college, and there's still a massive hole in the park, literally and figuratively. Just another one of those reasons why I wish people would appreciate the older coasters they have, Arrow or not, rather than cheering for something to be removed. Because once they're gone, they're gone, and you'll never be able to experience them ever again.
You used to be able to see the train cars from the original Bat through the cracks between the wooden planks on the floor of the loading house. They stored them down there until around 1994.
Ahhhh the sounds of the chairlift catching the undercarriage of the train on an OG Arrow looper always hits the chest with warmth.
Yeah i miss that classic Arrow chainlift sound.
