Careful if you use this on clothes tho cuz acetone can also bleach or sometimes ruin clothing with certain fabric blends since it is an acid close to the strength of bleach
Acetone is PH neutral so neither an acid or an alkali. Bleach is a strong ALKALI. You have NO IDEA what you're chatting about. Don't comment crap like this. How can an acid be close to a bleach. It's faded on day one. Total mess tbh
Nate on the wood you should have tried wood stain maybe don't use so much liquid it might not run as bad. That's an awesome process nonetheless I wonder how well it works on leather.

I've used a hot clothes iron to set a laser printed images in wood to have a carving pattern.
What if you transferred the same image a few times (Using a new image each time) in the same place? Would that make the image more vivid?
Reminds me of the temporary tattoos we got with gum back in the day. 😏
The way you do it is not to diss similar to the way cheap kitty tattoos are done, but there is done with water and you’re using acetone. Pretty cool.

I'm gonna use this to transfer stencils onto my wood working.
I've also had good results with heat. But that was with wood, I used a wood burning tool, so it might not work with cloth.

Will the image survive a wash and dry cycle?
the trick for this to work with inkjet is to print on the wax paper backing from an adhesive label sheet. Steve Ramsey did a video about it: How to transfer inkjet photos to wood

You don't need acetone to do this, there is far better alternatives, especially if you transfer on wood.
We still can do it with ink printer. u just need some mosquito lotion and iron the paper after u apply it

Use wood glue on wood and rub it of, it works way better than acetone.
Put water in a vaccum machine
One of the earlier videos on the crafsman channel is pretty similar, shows a much better method

Does your printer driver allow "vibrant color" or another setting overdoes the color?
