Phil, there are probably a zillion "this is how it's made" videos, but yours is COMPELLING watching. It was extremely satisfying to watch each step it took to make that beautiful little masterpiece. People order these pieces and have no idea how much planning and work go into making them, how much EXPERTISE built from years of experience go into the process, and how easily one little mistake-even from a pro-can put you back to square one, so your concentration has to be maximized at every moment. It's always shocking to see how many different ways you have to saw and sand the wood just to get the foundational pieces prepared! Listening to you talk about the richness of these woods, the tricks you've learned along the way, and seeing the stunning finished product-along with the "shadow" demonstration-was really enjoyable. Really great stuff!
Another great video, Dad! Love that we get to enjoy Papa’s memory through a beautiful work of art! The crotch wood has gorgeous grain patterns! Excited for the next video! ☺️
Early in the vid I noticed evidence of the project you did for my family after the passing of my dad:-) That's a heck of an operation you've got there. Phil! The music is very Dire Straights like...is that you?
Oh, yeah, on that little shelf at my CNC station, I have a few test examples and YES, Bigfoot sits with a few others. Thanks for noticing the music. Yes, all the music you hear was written and recorded in my home studio. And I must say, I don’t brag about my stuff as I know how many takes and re-takes (and re-take and re-takes) I’ve needed to do. LOL

Thank you so much for the very kind words. I really love making these videos and comments like yours make it so much more rewarding. Thanks again!👍
Your work is very detailed and absolutely beautiful. Thank you for this exquisite plaque in memory of my uncle. He would love it!
You are very welcome
It looks so beautiful!

No, I work with a bandsaw, scroll saw and a router! It's just a hobby for me and to relax ...
Good for you. 👍
This video is so informative. I like how the presenter clearly explained all the steps involved. Who knew how many details go into wood art.
Oh, and I should say I am a bit biased how in awe I am of my husband's art! He is a great presenter and hits all the points!
Well said! LOL
