DIY NO-SEW FABRIC & SOCK BUNNIES/Spring Easter Craft Ideas (91)

  • In this video I show how you can take 3 types of fabrics to make no-sew Easter bunny crafts. In this video I point out that I did not have any socks so I show how I took things I already had at home including some drop cloth, a long sleeve shirt and a pair of ladies pantyhose to make the bodies and the heads for the bunnies. I suggest ways to secure the body and head together including rubber bands, hair accessories, twine and pipe cleaners. I then offer suggestions on things you can use to fill the bunnies such as rice, dried beans, grits, cotton balls or quinoa. I embellish each rabbit with bows, buttons purchased from Dollar Tree and make each a face to bring out their personalities using burlap and twine. Many items I use to embellish the faces and to stuff the bunnies can be purchased from Dollar Tree. These can be super inexpensive to make and each one will be unique. I hope you get some ideas and inspiration from watching the video. I hope you will subscribe to our channel if you haven't already and please help us to grow our channel by sharing the links to our channel and videos with your family and friends. Thanks so much!

Those are adorable!! I love them! You can also put bath salts in them and they smell wonderful. I was looking for pipe cleaners and had to laugh because they are now called chenille stems! Another gal pulls out the nose and puts an elastic on it which is adorable too!! Love the pocket idea with a carrot. Awesome.

Hey, the cutest little bunnies ever!! I wanted to share a tip. I dont use any food products in crafts. They actually attack critters...ie...roaches, bugs, mice into our homes. Instead, I recycle almost ALL our clothes, socks, linens and towels to use as "stuffing" for my crafts. Saving the earth, one old tshirt at a time! To make sure things have a good bottom, cut up a few pieces of a heavier fabric, like Jeans to put in the bottom of your projects. I've found cutting an oval or circle works well. Anywho, just a different way to recycle. Thanks for sharing all your cute, inspiring crafts with us. I always look forward to your videos!

Thanks so much for all the helpful and insightful tips, Kelli! You are right about the food and wouldn't want to encourage any critters in our homes!! So glad you are enjoying the videos and sure do appreciate you!

Im a huge fan of drop cloth, too! Its like a crafters best kept secret! I've been making things with drop cloth for yrs, lol, and it all started quite by accident! I volunteer at a thrift shop and we got a drop cloth in and it had some paint on it in some areas, but I was like Hmmm, I can use this! So, I bought it for prob $1 or $1.50 (I get half off if I buy items the day I work and I work every Mon, although we've been closed all winter now bc of virus and its killing me! I also found out the small business I worked for the last 10 yrs is selling. Ive been laid off since April and now I wont even HAVE a job when things open. Im really stressed & worried bc I also have to work around my sons school schedule & he is on a ridiculous "hybrid" schedule where he goes Mon, Wed, Fri one week, then Tues Thurs the next & how do you work around that mess at a job?! Ughh! So, thank you for these vids bc they help me channel my energy, lifts my spirits & gives me ideas of things to make & sell at my booth!) and that was probably 5 yrs ago now, lol! I kept looking for more to come in to the thrift, but none did.
Then it hit me one day, lol, LOOK AT HOME DEPOT!!!! So, I went and sure enough! I bought the one I thought was the same, but unfortunately it was too light weight, so I bought another heavier one and it was PERFECT! I also was surprised how STIFF they were brand new! I realized the one I had from thrift was probably washed and dried many times, so I threw my new ones in the wash and then dryer 2 or 3 times and it was PERFECT! I thought, though, there had to be a way to buy it without having to buy a (I think was $20-$30 each for the heavier ones) drop cloth...so I looked it up and what material it was made form and sure enough!!!!! I got it SOOOOO much cheaper online for just the Duck Cloth material instead of the cut, hemmed and sewn drop cloth! If anyone is planning on using the drop cloth a LOT to decorate and make things with, then I'd really suggest looking for the MATERIAL instead of getting the drop cloth itself. Its usually under Duck Cloth Or Duck Cloth Canvas and most places with have the various weight/weave tightness or thickness. The last time I ordered it, I got a med weight and prob about 5 yards and it ended up costing $11! I cant even get ONE drop cloth for that price! It was also stiff as ever, lol, but a few runs through the washer and dryer and its perfect to work with! And you dont have to worry about running out and remembering what one you got last time, or if the store will have the same drop cloth in stock, bc as I learned over the yrs, not all drop cloths are made the same, lol! Ive ended up going with a different brand and then finding it was a shade off and separate you would not notice, but put them together in the same project and it was REALLY noticeable! So, now I just buy the "raw cloth" and its MUCH easier! I think I even seen it at Walmart near the Ticking material, but it sold just as "canvas" cloth. I never tried it from Walmart, so I can say, but I did see it there.
Anyway sorry this is so long! I hope the info helps anyone that sees the price of the drop cloth and it scares them off, ESP if they go with the cheaper weight, just to get home and not like it bc its so thin, but the other ones are so expensive.

Thanks so much for all the tips, hopefully we can get pass all this virus stuff so you can get back to your routine and your son can get back on a regular school schedule. Hoping for the best God Bless!💚💚💚💚

I have a lot that do want a narrative so I will try to put in my description the time frame of when the demo starts so maybe ones that do not wish to hear me talk, can skip over and get right to the demo. I will try to improve so it will be good for all to enjoy! Thanks again and your feedback is always welcomed!
