Kayak Fishing Kuwait - Trying to Catch a Mackerel on Live Bait in the Clearest Water in Kuwait

In this Episode I caught a Black Bar Snapper which I then used at 1:40 as live bait, then later on caught a Gold Spot Trevally at 9:15 on a Vertical Metal jig, then finally caught a very nice Flathead at 13:45 on a Vertical Metal Jig. Fishing in general was very poor that day. Hope you enjoy it and there is more to come. Stay tuned.

There are plenty of places to fish off in Khairan, practically all the jetis are a good place, however, be prepared to get snagged alot due to the strong underwater currents. Best of luck mate

What Kayak and gear are you running? Also how do you transport it?

It is a Glare Super Hornet very similar to the hobie, I normally load it on the roof rack. The gear are as follows:
Jarvis Walker 26lbs trolling motor powered by an onboard controller unit connected to 2 26amps 12volt batteries. The steering is done by foot via foot paddles connected to the trolling motor. Lowarance Hook2 4x fish finder connected to an 8amps 12 volt battery.

@@Saltyall_Fishing That's neat. I'm looking to buy my own Kayak for the summer season, and so far, the market in Kuwait has been very disappointing. It's either low-end, no brand kayaks, or the super expensive hobie kayaks. I saw a kayak online called a pelican pwr 100 which is super cool, it has a rotating seat and built in wiring for an electric motor, thinking about ordering that from the states. We'll see how it goes for me, I'm pretty much a beginner when it comes to Kayak fishing, so I've been watching your videos to learn a thing or two. If I manage to get a set up, I'll let you know and maybe we can go fish together some day!

The Pelican Catch PWR 100 are awesome kayaks, very lightweight unlike the hobie and glare. You need to check the shipping cost though as it may cost more than the Kayak itself. Not many Kayaks for sale in Kuwait and if there are any, they are either low end no brand , or very expensive if branded, unfortunately and not many used around. I will be listing mine soon, so keep an eye if interested. Peace
