Solo Offshore Kayak Fishing for Snapper in Bellambi with Non Stop Action & Catch N Cook
In this episode I take my PA12 to Bellambi to target some snappers, and to also try the Kabura Jig...
Started the session trolling with a Bomber 15A and instantly hookup on a nice size Bonito, then continued to my destination using Navionics, chose a drop off and instantly started getting hits, with some I nearly lost my rod....
The session was full of action, non stop hits and misses....
Ended the session with a Catch n Cook
Hope you enjoy

You can still catch fish even in these conditions
มุมมอง 23514 วันที่ผ่านมา
Sydney has been hit with nasty weather recently, wind and rain.... Waited for the wind to settle a bit then took out my son for another fishing challenge in our favorite safe spot for him... This is a 2 day challenge. Some nice fish were caught in both days, not expected, which proves that fish are very active in Murky waters.

Where is this bro?
Middle head, before knowing it is prohibited to collect from anywhere in Sydney
what kayak are you getting after this one sold ?
Best kayak hands down, there will be no other Yak as I will be leaving Aus, will definnitley buy one in Kuwait
The one place I want too fish well done
Amazing place, very big reef, variety of fish, however, you need to be very careful with the weather there
Red rockies are better eating than Snapper.
Agree 100%
I’m thinking those goggles were strapped to something down there 👇 makes you think 😮
Wonder what that is?
@@Saltyall_Fishing the lure was stuck for a while until it came loose. Some diver run out of air foraging 🫢🤭
Great fishing guys! 🔥🎣
no size limit and definitely a NSW bag limit of 20 per person , just saying so no one gets into trouble , nice catch by the way mate .
Bag limit is always there regardless, thanks for the reminder mate
Very good catch there of Jackets.. You must be very proud of your son.. Hope you have many more wonderful days like today..
Yeah, he is getting the hang of it now, soon will be taking him for a Spearfishing session as well
When was this?
Last week
Where is the biggest tarmine I only see little miniature fish
Mate read the title, biggest Tarwhine I have caught, this went 47cm buddy
No legal limit on jackets and they are good eating.
Yeah I know mate, but was not targeting them on that day
Do socks really help? With slippery rocks
I made those rod holders in the low rock platform
Awesome work, very handy
Fish for the local squid and use them at night on a high tide and you will catch big Mullaway there You will probably delete this comment like you did last time
I never delete any comments mate, on the contrary if there are any advises given I pinned them
What bait for King?
Prawns
I was using Live yakkas, but also squid strips, whole squids also work charm, Pike strips, mullet strips... practically if they are on the feed they will take anything,.but for me in this locartion, live yakkas
Be careful out there my friend! Rock fishing deaths averaging 1 per month in Australia currently. Stay safe. Have never tried socks for slip resistance but will next time ahaha
Thanks mate, I normally spend a good hour sussing out the area, checking the wind direction, swell direction, tide heights etc... before deciding on a ledge, life jacket is always on, and socks lol.... stay safe and tight lines
@@Saltyall_Fishing Good man! Tight lines!!
why are you wearing socks
Prevent you from slipping on wet rocks
am i right in saying you took the path down from the oval to get there ?
It is passed the Oval
@@Saltyall_Fishing is it that bushwalk place, i went for a little explore looking for this spot took a while
what spot is this mate?
This is Middle Head mate
I recommend you fish the lower rock as it’s easier to land large fish there . Bait is there as well
We do fish the lower rocks to catch bait, but the higher one to prevent the line from snags, as it keeps the rod higher and over the rocks
I never had that problem fishing there , over 150 fish in 10 years
You also need to up the size of your gear if you fish live bait there , fish over 15 kg are common
Indeed bro, realized after those big runs
Nice, looks interesting . Never seen one of these
Yeah mate, very effective too. My son got his 1st snapper on it too
Caught more fish than I would in a whole year😂
Thx bro
Bro well done 👏 a true fishermen knows when to walk away
Yeah bro, enjoyed the time cooking the pranws, then called it a day, nothing is worth your life....
Cant fish that mate need a area out of the wind and a deep ledge right in front.
The ledge I pointed at in the beginning was the ledge to be fished, I have fished it before and in coming videos, some nice reef under and it is a nice drop, however, only fishable depending on the direction of wind or no wind at all... my 2nd attempt anyway...
Hi, please can you put the details of the rods and reels in a comment. I found it hard to hear what you were saying withe the wave and wind noise. I will be interested to see how long the baitcaster lasts. Tks.
Reel is a Ryobi Ranmi AK AC-2000, Rod is a Siweida Light Spinning rod 7ft, 1-3kg Sorry for the wind noise
Where in sydney are you fishing my man as you are doing good with your new temu baitcaster it seems to be working fine ps Stay Salty my good man 👍😉 from Melbourne.
Thanks man, this area is in Sydney, Mosman. Much appreciated.
Dude...enough with the "Fisheye" setting on the lens.
No idea what you are talking about mate
love this!
Thx
Black trevally spine foot oh happy moments. They've got poisonous spines.
Yep
What bait are you using to catch the rabbit fish?
Prawns and dough
Up in QLD we call them happy moments, throwback crap and go elsewhere to fish LOL
Yep happy moments they are, but if handled and cooked properly, they have a unique taste
cool video mate. Do you always keep every fish you catch?
Not always, it all depends on the specy, size and taste
Nice catch well done 👏 Where about ?
In Mosman mate
@@Saltyall_Fishing it's very good spot goodluck mate 👍 🙂
thanks for your video. I want to catch this fish and need some locations for it if you don't mind. thanks
Thanks mate. I have caught it in Mosman, around Chowders Bay
Arent these fellas called "happy memories"? If you get spiked by them theyre pretty painful. Never caught em as bycatch when chasing luds though. Only ever got onto the occasional surgeon around Middle Harbour. Either way, looked like a fun session. Top stuff.
Yeah mate, 'happy memories' 'happy moments' was just making fun,.as their spikes bring electric shocks like crazy... very tasty fish though, and they have the same diet as Ludericks, as I believe they are from the same family.... very tricky catching them. It is their season and they do put up a fight, 50% luderick and the other 50% trevally. More sessions to come, thanks for passing by
@@Saltyall_Fishing Ah good to know. I'll keep that in mind if I encounter them. Cheers mate. Tight lines
If you don’t mind me asking which waterways did you catch them at thanks
This is around cliffton Gardens in Mosman mate
Thanks again, I actually target these fish and wish to catch more, hopefully they'll be willing to play with me like they played with you
Yeah bro...can you show me the setup and what bait do you use pls...thanks 🤙
Hey bro, the rig is long shank size 7, small ball sinker running directly to hook with either bread dough or prawns
You can also use a float on that if needed with a swivel tying the braid to leader, then a float stopper above float, with ball sinker under float
Inti mafi faida 😂
Sorry didnt get that mate
7:30 what’s called?
It is Gunther's Wrasse
@@Saltyall_Fishing thank you 👍👍
you catch a lot of rock fish
Recently caught 2, but they were nice decent eating size
fresh is best day no more what a waste of my time watching this video
Thanks for watching anyway
I’m a massive fan Indo Fishing bro and although I haven’t fished that spot it looks like it produces(sometimes lol) I also got many of their lures they use in their videos. Another champ of Sydney fishing is Larry Outdoors you should check him out . Looking forward to see you use some other lures in the future to so keep up the good work and tight lines mate 👍🏾
Thanks mate, indo and Larry are Sydney best lure fishos and I do watch their videos. I myself is more into Kayak fishing and spearfishing, I do some rock fishing too but not a fan of lures. Thanks for passing by mate, much appreciated.
Yes, it worked, Nice to see someone else that enjoys the livers , people dont know how good they are ,also love how you cook the jackets whole in panko, bet the kids are hooked on fish now, thanks for sharing , looking forward to the next video
Thx for coming by, and yes my son is now hooked.
You’re in my Neighbourhood. I’m at LTP
Had a family trip for 3 nights then left back to Sydney 😃
Didn't go for luds at curly mate?
Nope, weather did not permit
hey bud , ive just joined , why dont you open the comments on the latest video , sure love to share some thoughts on the leatherjackets , but at the end of the day if your sick of people posting negative comments i understand ,, love your style , and specially the way you cook keep them videos coming , thanks for sharing

@@Saltyall_Fishing thanks buddy , its great to be able to show our appreciation when we see something we enjoy , love catch and cook videos ,
Good on ya mate
Thx mate
I have fished for Luderick/Blackfish and Drummer/Pigs since I was 12 y.o, and my best friend and I fished at Kirribilli ( Waruda st wharf) and all around that area. From 1984 to now!.
Good on ya mate
Thank you for wearing socks, I despise all these kayak videos where they keep showing their horrible, nasty ash feet. Makes me immediately skip the video. Nice kayak. Had mine since 2018, lost interest in it for a few years, been sitting in my shed. Took it out today after I found a great deal on a Torqeedo motor. Bought it earlier today (of writing), and just ordered a transom mount too so now I am watching Hobie 360 kayak videos again. Cannot wait to try out the new electric motor.
Happy to hear you enjoyed the video mate... all the best with your kayak and fishing adventure mate...
Any advice on finding good spots to spearfish in Kuwait?
Google earth is your best place, look for reef areas, mostly towards Bunaider
@@Saltyall_Fishing Appreciate your reply. Just started spear fishing 2 weeks ago haven't been getting much luck finding spots. Great video btw
