FWIW: In an recent interview with Pat Metheny, he said that he's found that he does better in his concerts if he doesn't eat the day of the show until after the show is over...
Marc made a comment in an interview somewhere that NOT eating anything before a show on the day of a show didn't give him enough energy - he made it through, but he was having to dodge some notes or not hold them out as long.
Maybe there's something about not eating _right before_ a show, but do what makes the most sense to keep up your energy.
That "rides the bus" thing at the start makes me want a Collab with a certain weird one.

Yes and all Freddie's heavy smoking, among other things resulted in reduced lung capacity and not being able to sing his owns songs on stage as recorded in the studio , improvising arrangements, lyrics, singing lower to compensate . The smoking and overdriving his vocals in the early years also resulted in vocal nodules. Freddie was a legendary entertainer and in the studio was able to demonstrate exactly how vocally gifted he was, but in concert, particularly in the later years those vices penalised him heavily long before his illness became an issue.
