You guy on the left act like the Uchiha is the only important clan. All clans in the village are equally important and 2nd Hokage was a little wrong about the Uchihas but still he was a good leader. Thanks to him the ninja academy for young children was made. And you just saw that Tobirama said to Hashirama "It's not on you to decide who will be Hokage, people of the village should be asked" and its the best. Just like in our world where people vote for president. Plus it was a war when 2nd Hokage killed Madara's brother, a WAR. You can't expect from 2nd Hokage to just stand and let the enemy kill him.
