- There’s been plenty of talk about the Saudi Arabian grand prix and indeed, if the circuit will be finished in time. Here’s my observations from media day at the 2021 Saudi GP. Enjoy!

Actually Jeddah orniche Circuit is a temporary track, and will be used only for 2 to 3 rounds till 2023 max. The original plan was a Circuit in Qiddiya it's an entertainment megaproject near to Riyadh. But since they just established the project they decided not to do it there for time being, because it will be in a construction area and far away from Riyadh, so still no facilities and services there.
That sunset shot of Lewis looks amazing.
Saudi Arabia has shown its great potential, it looks like we won a great circuit in the upcoming rounds

Landos belt is more "Valentino Rossi colour" that Lando uses a lot for example in his own logo. So not so much Lewis.

Why do you have to prefix with “as a Max fan” to appreciate something good? It kinda says that Max and Lewis fans hate each other. It doesn’t have to be that way.
@@Hrudaya07 I think and hope it’s satire. Like obvisouly it’s okay to like shots of driver you’re rooting against because you love the sport anyway. And even in general F1 conversation it’s dumb to keep saying « even if i’m a fan of ». So it’s probably a joke

Awesome silhouette shot of Hamilton, I think it's worthy of asking Angela if he could autograph the shot (although he is not my favourite driver) Also I have to say I like how you're pointing out the good points of Saudi Arabia, personally I respect people who are guests in a country and highlight its good points rather than bag it.

They’re not bagging it for no reason. This wouldn’t be like coming to the US or Canada and only talking about the negatives. They have severe human rights issues involving women, LGBT, and more. Gay men can be jailed and physically punished. And their religious text (in their interpretation) says gay men should be stoned to death if there’s 4 witnesses. Many drivers on the grid do not agree with the fact that we’re racing here (Lewis & Seb to name 2). Now I’m not naive, whether or not F1 races here isn’t gonna fix their human rights issues. But it’s not as simple as people “bagging it”. It deserves to be bagged.

I see it as an aggressive promotion of Western culture, wrapped up as human rights. International sports, by its very nature, should be neutral. Western values are not international, so you stay in regions they're local too

Lando is obsessed with that bright/lemon/day-glo yellow. His favorite color. His helmet is covered in it - along with his 'Quadrant' business trade dress.
The sunset portrait shot was a ripper Kym. Excellent quality as always. I particularly liked the music intro at the start of this video. Very stylish.
And you're right... it is a LONG track, super high speed too for a street circuit.

How do you decide from which angles will you take photos of on track events? Especially in a new track with no previous photos?
He just goes around and takes a couple of pictures, if he likes them then he stays for a bit longer.
The drivers are not the only ones that do track walks

Thanks Kym for this videos. I have learned a lot about F1 from your videos. Why would we have a race in Saudi Arabia if construction work is not finished yet? Didn't they know they are hosting a race?

I think you are focusing more on the disadvantages of the circuit than it should be.
The work they have done in short time is incredible 🤷🏻♂️ we have to support every new country host f1 race

I watched qualifying and my impression was... it’s a street circuit at night with no real evidence that it’s a street circuit except there are walls. Instead of runoff areas. Not sure what the point is?

As a lifetime F1 female fan of F1, I hope whatever constructor wins, they send a female member of the team to receive the trophy. Making sure she's wearing a short sleeve shirt, shorts and no hajab.
Love to see the drivers sneaking a lil' bit of LGBT+ support...
Though, in the end, it's the law of the country, therefore must be respected.
