Thank you, Abi, for your important lesson. You deserve respect. It is important to clarify the difference between 'tarmac' and 'asphalt' as they are often used interchangeably by many people.
Transportation's problem is sensitive and common issue in Ethiopia particularly in Addis. Standing on long taxis queue is the daily routine of Addis's residents. This is happening cuz there is no sufficient amount of vehicles when it compared to the number of population in the city. The residents use bus, taxi and train as a means of transportation in the city. However bajaj and Cart transportations are also given in places like Legetafo, tulu dimtu.. etc. If you ask me about the train transport in the capital, the speed of the train is as sluggish as tortoise plus it doesn't travel through subway for the most part. However most people use it to commune to work and school. When we come to aircrafts like drone, it was legal to use them for movie making purposes. But i don't got concrete information about the status que concerning it.On the other hand we still own some cargo ship which are named after the cities in Ethiopia, Mekele, Bahirdar, Harar.. etc. plus there are also minor transportation ships and boats which are used for human transportation on lakes like tana, abijata.. etc. Not only do we have boats in Ethiopia, but we can also find jet ski at some places. On the other hand in most of the time cars move bumper to bumper in the capital. We can even sometimes come across with gridlock particularly around Bole. This is happening cuz the development of road infrastructure is not as sufficient as the number of vehicles in the city no matter how the number of vehicles is not that much as it compared to cities like Nairobi. The funniest part is, even if Sheger is the capital city of Ethiopia and the seat of AU, there are still a lote of dirt roads . Be that as it may, it always been difficult for the pedestrians to walk since there is no enough sidewalks . Once up on the time, while i was walking on foot, i saw taxi T bonded with bicycle on the pedestrian road. Isn't it scary? Then i immediately took a bus to my home and i was dropped around Piyasa where i supposes to take a taxi. Then i took a line for a taxi . Finally i get in(hop in) to the taxi and traveled to Megenagna. But the driver drop me off at wrong spot though i told him to dropped me off somewhere else. Finally i caught another taxi to Gerji. Isn't it annoying 😔? Anyways my dear Aby, way to go. You're the living witness for most of us who have been couch potato. I have big respect for you Buddy.May God bless you and your family! I always cross my fingers for you!❤️
@@ethiopiainme6779 My dear friend, my English is a working progress. But if we all are keep working for it, we will be as good as our beloved teacher or may be better than him😊!FYI your english is quiet beautiful. So keep up the good work👍🏽But i just wanna say thank you for your kind compliment!❤️

I think we shall use "drop me off here" when someone else is driving you (for taxi), and use "get off here" when you are deciding to leave a public or shared mode of transportation (bus or train )
I can't get enough of your lessons!
I wish you nothing but peace and success.
thank you
