Can’t wait to see the 14 tooth mod if you decide to do it as it all helps to get to the “sweet spot” of individual riding needs. 😎👍

I was able to come to Silverton in 2022. I brought my KLX 250, regeared from a 42 rear to a 52. It was perfect. I rode the gulches , Stoney, Engineer and Cinamon Passes. Anything along 2. It is a long way from my home in Alabama but be assured that I am coming back to ride what I missed on my first trip. See you in 2025.

Seems like I rode my Harley up to silverton in October. Ate lunch up there and I tell ya what… freezing rain set in so we boogied on down to Durango. What a cool area. I ride the ozarks a lot and it’s just multiplied out there in Colorado. What a beautiful part of the country. Great job on the video. Thanks.

October is a bit on the late side for my tastes just for that reason. It is pretty amazing scenery. The Ozarks are nice as well. In fact I finished at Ft “Lost in the woods” in late October a good while ago. Cold then too! Be safe, thanks!

I noted that the images in the rear view mirrors looked very clear without vibrations blurring the view. How is the overall ride comfort considering it is single cylinder motor design that tends to vibrate more than a twin design engine?

The vibration isn’t too bad ever. Does get worse at higher rpm though.

I know you said the guy was taking his bike up to 18,000 ft, just wondering how the Himi handled the higher elevations? On some of the steeper roads around here I have the throttle pinned down and can't even get up to 55 haha. (Just got to the end of your video talking about modifying the sprocket...I may have to do the same). I always try to head to less busy roads so I don't get a bunch of cars riding my butt. Great video! I've been on the parallel road just west of there with my 5th wheel going from Montrose to Cortez. There were a couple climbs there I was wondering if my truck was going to make it lol. - Shane

You must have been on 145 Ridgeway through Telluride south. Neat road as well. Much more friendly to a 5th wheel than Red Mountain Pass!
He said the Himi did great. It seems like the roads over there are much lower speeds and very likely dirt. I could see the bike doing well in that environment.
Im planning on changing the sprocket again today to 14 tooth. Still can ride from my torn muscle, but hopefully I can manage that. Gonna record it in case people need guidance. It’s pretty simple. Lemme know how it works for you. Once I’m back in the saddle, I’m gonna also do a video for the 14,15 & 16 tooth sprockets for comparison. Need ride time before that though. Thanks!

Wondering what's up in your world? Are you planning to do more videos?

I sure am planning on it. Waiting on snow to leave now. I took a new job at the end of last summer that blew up those plans. All settled now. Thanks for asking!
