THANK YOU THANK YOU Dr. Mike and Brother Jared. What an honor to train. Been implementing what I learned and my body has began to shift and change. Thank you to all the comments in here. Very very grateful for the support and the encouragement. Just so thankful. Yes... I'll be doing a show soon. I have learned so much from you both. If you haven't gotten the RP App... GET IT. I used it daily and love what it does for me.
You are inspiring to watch, Setema. I hope you come back on again.
You’re a BEAST, good stuff
Love your attitude. ^^ I hope they invite you again for a leg workout, bet you have amazing rom in the leg press. knees to armpits kinda shit.
A big shout out to all the family, friends, mentors, coaches and general influences of this man along his journey. Something was definitely done right along the way. 👍
I hope you're back for Leg Day!
It’s nice seeing somebody of that caliber stay positive and really throw themselves into the workout
Especially how they lean in to the pain too, seeing a guy that big struggling to get a few knee push ups really give me some sense that I might not be training wrong after all
His attitude is GREAT!
Yeah, it just makes these videos even more of a treat when the "trainee" seems like a really nice guy, too. "Goll-EEE!" Ya love ta see it...
I loved his "golll-lee!"s
Please bring him back for legs. This was a great video.
Great shout
really cool and likeable guy, was a pleasure to watch! bring him back if you can!
We plan on it!
What a gental giant. "Goly" has me giggling. 😂 This man is a treasure. He is such a humble dude for what he has accomplished. Dr. Mike and Son have great chemistry with him too! Love to see it
gentle* !
Genital*

@@dead_again9839that’s probably giant too tho
Thats that mormon curse word
He's an animal, teachable and humble... perfect combination
I absolutely love how Setema takes the cues from Jared and Dr. Mike and really digs hard to get those sets done in RP style. He's humble and absolutely gets it. And I always love how Dr. Mike and Jared constantly emphasize "I don't care how many reps you get, only that you do them right. Thanks to these scientific workout videos, I feel I've been able to improve my own workouts, every week still losing fat, while gaining muscle, and I'm super sore, but still able to recover in time for my next workout. Thank you thank you thank you!!!
A queue is like when you form a line. A cue is like a suggestion.
@RudolfMaister420 you are absolutely correct, and I appreciate you pointing that out. In my haste, I missed that oversight and have made a fool of myself. Thanks to you, I have edited and corrected my comment, so it now shows the correct word, "cues". Homophones on a Monday, y'all. They've got me trippin'.
Always interesting to watch someone who's professionally coachable
Champion mentality. Dude didn't win a SB by being headstrong
I wish this channel was around in my early 20s. Would have saved me some pain.
Kids now are beyond privileged to have access to this.
Glad I have found it though- has completely revitalized my training.
Thanks Mike.
saved you pain? following their technique cues and training methods has caused me nothing BUT pain, but the good kind of muscle pain ;)
It's cool seeing the difference in attitude between 'juiceheads' and someone like Setema. Man put everything into it with the best attitude. What a legend.
Lmao, my mans was one more juice than tropicana 😂😂😂😂
bro he was a pro athlete. he was on more stuff than any bodybuilder 😂
@@felge1have you ever meet a Samoan in real life. They don’t need juice. They were born with all the juices already.
@@bullinvginshop9011 they are not even the strongest race? if you put strength/ size ratio in consideration asian people are the strongest. if it’s overall strength eastern europeans/ germanic tribes are by far the strongest people. but yeah, polynesians are super strong and athletic. i think the culture and the good natural food are reasons for this.
Jesus christ, I live for these big guys using lighter weights and getting totally destroyed. Tells me that in my own training, the weight doesn't mean shit if I don't train hard with good technique.
Facts gym brother you’ve got this!
Well fuck I had just started the video when I commented and he’s using 80s on incline 😂😂
Make the lighter weight challenging ;)
Yes and no remember they are training him in a bodybuilder style workout where the main focus is hypertrophy, whereas if you are training for strength the weight really does matter. At the end of the day tho genetics technique frequency consistency diet and rest are what matters most
idk because I lift heavy enough to feel the pump. Next day my chest always feels bigger and when i go to the gym the day after rest day, I still feel how the muscles are tired during my warmup. I don't like light weights because it requires slow pace + pauses and basically heavy lifting gives the same amount of stress to build muscles.. and it's more fun
Pls lord tell me that leg workout happened 🙏 this was a glorious watch
14:43 dispite Filming Jared is aware of his surroundings and automatically gets out of the way to let someone through! So humble and polite! You guys seem like such Nice people! Love the videos 😊
I loved everything about this video especially Setema's vibe and positivity.
What a monster. Nearly 50 and still that huge and in shape, a lot of professional linemen don't stay healthy for long after retiring.
His ability to dominate these techniques upon first instruction was so impressive. You could see when he hadn’t don’t anything like that, but within a split second of receiving a queue, he’d apply it.
Amazing. That’s a world class pro athlete.
Man, I learned and continue to learn so much from this channel, last year and this year I have been applying a lot of your training methods and approach and my training has gotten better, I am gaining muscle mass and staying away from injuries, I have no doubts about this is the right way to train.
No lies. No joint pain! Better and better ROM.
Absolute giant. Technique is the key. I thought my own pack shredding just watching him. This is how you grow. Right here.
Those full ROM dumbbell presses are brutal, crazy seeing you guys stretching him out like that. You could tell he wasn’t used to going that deep.
No Diddy
Ayoooo #pause
This might be the hardest pause I’ve ever seen
They are tough, can't wait to see if I can increase weight in doing those.
Been waiting for this for WEEKS since Mike teased it on the podcast!
YES same
which podcast o.O
@@gattt1141 RP Strength podcast - I listen on Spotify but I imagine available on other platforms!
@@joshashmore1521 thx😊
Same👊
If you close your eyes you’ll think The Rock and Tony Robbins had a 7 foot baby 😂
I really like this guy - he seems so humble.
I met Jared Feather at the Dragon’s Lair this weekend. Awesome dude.
My first time in Vegas also, I definitely had to get a sesh in the Dragon’s Lair.
Definitely one of the best workouts I’ve seen on this channel. Loved the mindset, energy and effort, and the talk about being “coachable”. A mandatory watch for my teen sons. Thank you
I've been training for over 13 years. I just recently came across Dr.Mikes channel and have implemented his training style. I just finished my 1st week, and all of my weights are significantly down. However, my body is sore in places that haven't been sore since my newbie days. DR.Mike, I simultaneously hate you and love you at the same time. It really feels good to have the gym challenging again without having to keep throwing more and more weight on the bar!
Edit.... one of the best things about implementing Dr.Mikes training style.....since you are forced to use weight that is alot lighter than you are used to, your joints LOVE you.
Setema is a beast and brings great personality. Loved this.
What an absolute sweetheart and really hard worker. The world needs more like him!
Guys like him really make me wanna train again. He’s so cool and positive and ready to learn, awesome awesome guest
Great watch!!
“alot of people can try hard, and alot of people can do good technique but if you do both at the SAME TIME, THATS THE REAL CHALLENGE” -Dr Mike
No wonder he's happy. He found something he loves in life and he was built to do it. Heartwarming to see. Oh, and don't think we didn't notice Mike and Jared managed to get a "sh*t" out of him at a couple of points there, that's how you know they pushed him hard.
You guys at RP deserve all the flowers you're currently getting, been putting in the most work for a while now & the lifting landscape is slowly improving 😇 never stop posting Mike 😂
Wow, beautiful episode. Inspiring to see someone so knowledgeable also so willing to learn. Also awesome to see you acknowledge that. Bravo all around.
Been waiting for this one since you mentioned Setema in a podcast-episode! Did not disappoint!
This was a fun one to watch! Rp is the 🐐
The definition of a Gentle Giant right there, this was amazing to watch. Bring him on for Leg Day!
Humility and wisdom from everyone involved... Love this post!
im so lucky i found this channel. Dr.Mike i owe to you all the progress and gains i'm making every week ! I did my push workout today. Always do the deficits push ups for the finisher. 🤘🏻
What a legend. He really adapted and took it seriously, we love to see it!
Your best video yet! Such a joy to watch this.
So far, this was my favorite BY FAR. What a true gentlemen!
I remember listening to the RP podcast about training vs working out, and couldn’t wait to see this session get uploaded.
One of my favorite videos in a while. Setema seems like a super great guy
Super motivational video. Thanks for posting!
i discovered this channel like 4 or 5 months ago, that chuckle of realization after he does the deep stretch and pause at the eccentric where you start to think "wow this is hitting different.." i went through the same thought process, love that feeling so much.
Love to see him put through RP leg day hell. Guy's a humble beast.
I loved this so much! Thanks all three of you
3 genuine athletes with absolute awesome character and values.
Loved the video very entertaining and informative appreciate you Gs!
What an amazing, humble and positive guy! Loved this workout and learnt a lot! Thanks RP!
Setema Gali is such a force of awesome positivity! I was a master coach for Freemotion and he came to inspire us on a global retreat. It was such a great experience.
One of the best workout vids yet!!!
I've incorporated the tips from these videos in my daily lifting routine. They have made a great improvement to my workouts. I'm noticing the differences in my fatigue levels and changes to my physique. Great stuff. I'm glad I found this channel. I've been sharing these videos with my buddies, too. They like them as well.
Mannn, what I would give to have a training session with the Doc.
All of the tips and techniques I’ve been implementing from these videos has been making all the difference. And I love seeing these videos with someone as receptive and willing to learn and put in the work as this guy. This is what I come to see!
I don't think I've ever commented on TH-cam (or it's been a while), but loved this video. I did Tae Kwon Do for years with Setema's mom training me and Setema would come to class occasionally and us kids (we were young teenagers, like 12-16 year olds) thought he was superhuman. So happy to see he's still doing well and still seems just as kind and happy as I remember him. Good work, and thanks for having him on Dr. Mike!
Fricken great video. You three were in-sync, good vibes, great info. I love the part when Dr Mike said, "oh, you're gunna be sore." So funny because whenever I slow down and stretch the target muscle and focus on technique, that next day I'm hurtin.
This man killed that workout
Brilliant as always, intelligent, information packed video. A truly inspiring pro athlete who is humble, smart & wants it, even in his retirement.
Love this dudes attitude. Great video.
He was awesome! I love his willingness to learn and how open minded he was. Please bring him back.
He was so humble !! Loved the video
Awesome episode! It was a joy to watch!
Man I can imagine lining up against him when he was in his prime - The dude is a beast even at his age....
I loved how Setema said "golly" and "jeez" every time he came off a hard set but it wasn't until the very last set when Dr. Mike pushed for that one last rep did he actually say "SHIT!"... LOL! Such an amazing effort by that man!
Great video, my favourite collab you guys have done by far
16:34 Love to see how he's repeating cues to himself. These cues are the kind that your body will tell you to avoid, so it's really interesting to see an athlete prime themselves for the discomfort.
You can tell this man is gold. Some people you can just tell they are good people.
That whole rock banter was absolutely hilarious lol
Light weight baby! Thanks Dr. Mike this is gold
Dr. Mike is a real life Wreck-It-Ralph.
If there's ever a Wreck-It-Ralph live action...
He is the real thing! Enjoyed that
Been waiting for this ever since you mentioned him on the podcast!
"Ready to learn" = words of wisdom.
Amazing episode guys. Can’t wait to hit it tomorrow and channel some of this energy
Can see why he was in the league. Very coachable love to see it
Amazing how a powerful person like that can be humbled when tempo is manipulated. The body doesn’t know how much weight ur lifting, it only knows how hard ur working to lift the weight.
Excellent job guys.
Great content! Loved that one! Great job!
What an awesome bunch of people. So positive.
So my homepage suggested hypertrophy coach ultimate leg day workout video I started it and quickly realized I didn't like the layout, music, honestly even his voice. Was happy to see this video posted exactly what I needed while do my facet cardio. Ty guys!
He has been the best guy in the coachable and training aspect as a guest in a while! Totally cool to see his attitude and work ethic
I live in RI and go to all the Pats training camps at Gillette. These guys are so BIG. If you see an O or D lineman in person it is unbelievable how giant they are. Crazy.
Its not about what u do, but how u do it!
What a cool example of that..
Lets GOO RP!
Such a great video! Very friendly jolly giant! 💪🏼
The interview aspect while also keeping the video instructional is nice.👍
Thank you guys for these videos. I've started to use these methods of lifting and I'm already seeing better results.
Been waiting for this one since Mike mentioned on the podcast. Didn't disappoint!
This gentleman is -awesome- ! Loved seeing him on the channel. Please invite him back to be on lots.
This guys a legend
Might be the best one of these workout vids yet🙌 Gotta have him back after he's been converted to the rom gang for a while
Great stuff lads. Thank you
Guy seems like a genuinely nice person too. Not an ounce of ego in this video.
I’ve been using the lat pull down bar for a few workouts now on tricep push downs. I feel validated seeing this guy using it and being tall. It feels so much so better
I love it man!
Love this guy so much, Please have him on again
This was such a pleasure to watch!
What a beast Damn
My favorite RP video ever, which is saying something. Setema was awesome!
Thanks for putting us on to an absolutely wonderful human being Dr. Mike!! This dude literally radiates positive vibes and it's no coincidence he's a Super Bowl champ. As a 27yr old I look at this almost 50 year old and think to myself that's a man who's acquired all the qualities I seek through self discipline all the while remaining grounded and having an air of humility to him that cannot be overlooked.
ay y'all should make follow up videos of how they feel 1 or two days after. feel like those would be funny and entertaining
I remember those deficit push ups with Nyle Naga, absolutely brutal with the ROM and the tempo of each rep. Textbook example of relative resistance and intensity being key
heard about mike and nick talk about this guy on the podcast, did not disappoint!
This was really awesome!
I loved this dude, this was great.
This man’s triceps doubled in size from this workout. Wild.
Didnt curse til the final rep. Massive respect!
