I've got one of those and if I set the threshold or gain too high it goes dit, dit, dit, dit, dit, etc. I guess there's some electromagnetic interference in my area. I hope the machine hasn't gone haywire.
Hello there! That's a great question! The Fisher F5 Metal Detector has a frequency of 7.8 kHz which makes it more sensitive to higher conductive targets like copper & silver.
I still have mine and use it when go out to detect with its siblings Equinox 800 and Nokta Legend
The Fisher F5 is a nice machine. I have one and love to use it 🙂
