I don’t know anyone who stopped driving their CGT either. However there were 50 licensed CGT in the UK in Q3 2022 and in Q2 2024 there were 13. So it seems like most followed the stop drive in the UK at least
Mr Walker created a generation of automotive fools, and glorified street racing. There are few individuals who have done motoring enthousiasts a bigger disservice.
No way this co$t $100K for Porsche AG, maybe if a customer was paying it with markup. Not cheap either, just another investment in their key customers. If they truly wanted to stick behind their brand, IMS would have been covered as well. 991.1 GT3 was covered, key customers again...
There are ~100 of these registered in the UK. It's not a particularly rare. It isn't a particularly rare car globally either. Better off with a 675LT (which are much rarer) pocketing the difference and praying it doesn't break
@@frederickcook87 sure, but isn't that the point. It's 675LT + £1m vs. CGT. The CGT doesn't pull at my heart strings enough to justify the additional cost. Maybe for others it is different.
@ right, it’s all about emotions and feelings…. There was a mclaren parked in front of my house yesterday, I didn’t look at it twice but had there been a Carrera, GT out there….. I might have lost it 🤣
The new tires from Michelin are so sticky. The CGT reduced its time by 16 seconds at the nurburgring .
"This has got to be the car to buy for 2025"
Sure, I'll just find £1.2m down the sofa and pick one up.
Thought the same 😂
@@Flared It's crazy how much the CGT now cost in 2024/2025. A decade ago, it only cost about £320,000.
That's my pocket money, in cash...
My CGT was never gone🙂
And the CGT is still a bargain! Get one before there 2 million with miles!
Great video. Can’t wait to take mine out when things get a little less lairy out there
oh, yes pls, my dream car, the CGT!
I dont know a single CGT owner that actually adhered to the stop drive.

Obra de arte 🙌
Only hyper car after the Mac F1 to offer the visceral pure experience .
This car deserved a new version with a v10 revving over 11k rpm and 800-900hp
The pinnacle of porsche engineering for road car, the newer 918 is not as desirable as this
This might be the only car I would trade my c8 z07 for
One of the greats 😍🤤
Who actually stopped driving their GTs.
Gr8
I don't Drive a Stick Shift But this is a incredibly Powerful Beauty Beyond Words Holy Mackerel ❤❤❤
Some Porsches are associated with Steve McQueen. Sadly this one is associated with the late Paul Walker (RIP).
No, it's not.
@@ark9823 You obviously have an inside line here. The press reported a 2005 Carrera GT. I suppose they must be wrong ?
Paul Walker devia ter trocado os pneus, talvez estivesse vivo

Only jdm lil kids came to know this car upon dudes death…. The rest of the world already knew the Carrera, GT.
£100K per car?! Haha, Porsche knows how to rip people off.
Probably it's bespoke for this car and won't go to any other model. I won't be surprised if it won't be on the 918 Spyder as well.
You don't pay for recall work the cost was to them.
The actual customers aren't paying for this work from what I hear. Porsche is installing the new wishbones and Michelin tires for free.

@@_que exactly. Not covering the IMS problem was really terrible.

Terrible comparison 🤫

@ there's an emotion with the £1m change too!
There are 6 Fiat 133s in the UK. Despite the lower numbers of the Fiat 133, I’d still go with one of the 87 Carrera GTs in the UK.
