Kyle Coolidge, age 12, plays Caprice Espagnol by Moszkowski Op. 37

Kyle Coolidge (myself, but age 12, in 2002) performing Moszkowski's Caprice Espagnol, Op. 37 at a presentation for a crowd of about 2,000 in downtown Minneapolis. Just found this old recording yesterday. Fun fact: Queen Silvia of Sweden was watching from stage right. Also, I could barely reach an octave at that point!

Bravo! This is a full-blooded virtuoso performance and astonishingly assured. Those who know the piece through Josef Hofmann's recorded concert performance will, perhaps, be intrigued as to whether this was the inspiration for Kyle learning it.

Kyle, you were soooo cute :) And a great piano player way back then at 12. How fun to watch this... I remember when you went to play for this. Good memories!
