What makes you think congress men are not patriotic for u congress is Nehru family I think but that's not the case congress traces it's history to 1885. It wasn't Nehru who started congress it was common middle class people. It's the part of whole India but was stolen by one family for there selfish motives. Don't equate congress with Nehru Dynasty. We as an Indian need to liberate it from clutches of single family. And they are not Gandhi's.

@@padmakumar6081 A evangalist philosophy rather. Want to get another Christian state demonising Meteis using Christian missionaries, nations. Want no state in NE left other than Christian state!? All who supporting Kukis are Christians as they as well Christians. It reveals the real truth. Manipur problem is just not about christians as Christians out side the state think. New migrants being Kukis should be deported which local Kukis also don't want. But missionaries want to take over the state. For local Kukis new more and more Kukis means grabbing their jobs and even dictate government with their vote power, sharing the land, grabbing local Kukis jobs. Christians who support migrants to be deported because they are Christians should know it. Metei Christians also want kukis who came after 1961. O.K.

Firstly, I'm surprised that why the best videos of Indian Statesman of these kind are least circulated?
Secondly, during the worst economic depression by far in 1991, PV Narasimha Rao has delivered some outstanding achievements for the Indian economy. Furthermore, the bandwidth of ideas, intellect, discipline, adaptability, humbleness, pure heart to persistently help the country prosper always makes him special and best PM of all time.
Lastly, there are plethora of aspects in PV that should be learnt by current politicians and ministers.

I feel Mr. Modi deserves due credit for managing Pandemic well, free doses of medicine not just for India but for 150 countries, developing Infrastructure both for national security and for developing business and connectivity in the North East, Free housing and LPG gas conbection for the poorest of the poor. Free ration between 10-35 kgs for the poor. Conducting all humanitarian missions concerning India and helping world citizens during Syria or Ukrain warm. Scaling India's economy from 10th to 5th. Turning around the Sinking of a lot of Banks which were reeling under losses and NPA's, merging these banks for efficient operations. Selling Air India and waiving off the debt burden. Removing 35A, article 370, Building Ram Mandir, etc. OROP for the army. Standing up to China face to face and eye to eye on the border. The list goes on.

Very intellectual speech. Have to think twice to understand his thoughts. A far cry from today's leader who talks like a common guy, full of boast and very chauvinistic. Then at the end Modi's speech we are forced to hear the fanatic noise of patriotism from some of the prearranged audience.

A window to the times. The sheer power of the Catholic Church was visible at the time with the fact that Shri Narasimha Rao had to acknowledge his acquaintance at 12:20 with members of the Christian missionary movement in India, despite his known personal distaste for Christianity in general.
America was a big force behind the pushing of the Catholic Church into India, including characters such as Mother Teresa, and there is little India could do at the time to counteract the influence. For a man with such personal views to pointedly bend down in front of the American house is a window to the utter state of helplessness India was in at that time. Contrast this with Modi’s defiance some thirty years later on the same stage, and you know India in the intervening period has grown a backbone.
As we step in the present day to another round of global hostilities between big powers, 14:15 Narasimha Rao’s Fukuyama-esque proclamation of the end of the Cold War seems like a wistful memory. The world held so much promise.
15:45 Narasimha Rao correctly predicted that India would become the largest free market in the free world in the 21st century.
20:10 He gives as eloquent a defense of the unity of India in the face of multiple secessionists calls doing the rounds at the time including from Kashmir and Punjab; and which was being given a serious hearing in the American halls of power. The question was again whether the accession of Kashmir to India was final or a temporary arrangement, and he used excerpts from Lincoln’s speeches as well as US Supreme Court pronouncements from the 1860s to emphatically proclaim to the Americans that the territorial integrity of India was non-negotiable. Beautiful.
22:20 Minority appeasement ad maximum! Could he have said anything else? Either he said that or the US would have short-shrifted India at that delicate moment.
23:00 Rao says the greatest threat to human rights is terrorism. Given the plight faced by Kashmiri Hindus in the aftermath of being driven out from there by Islamic terrorists and the inaction of his government to do something about it, his statements fly in the face of reality.
24:00 Looking back at things thirty years later, clearly the UN has become ossified with its utility under question. The UN was far more important back then.
28:00 A wonderful defense of democratic governance for India.
31:15 A warning to the world and an agenda for the 21st century - keep democracy alive!
32:25 Even as Narasimha Rao stresses that development and democracy must go hand in hand, the intervening years and the rise of China genuinely leaves a lot of well-wishers confused.
What an eloquence in English delivery! Masterfully done.

He refused to toe the line asked by the dynasty. He was hardly mentioned by the dynasty while huge praise was heaped upon pliable Dr Manmohan who followed the instructions. The economic reforms were prescribed by the IMF and implemented under Narsinghrao by Dr Manmohan.

If today India is what it is, it is PVN that set the ball rolling. The Congress party, an unabashed slave of England and the self-proclaimed savior of India, typically dumped him. The dumb Telugu community watched in silence even as this venerable leader was insulted by the Congress party - much like the Tamil community did when Ongole Dhongalu contrived to humble the honest Kamaraj. Shame on the two communities...
