I didn't understand the true message of this episode when I was a kid, but it probably shaped me a lot more than I realized. It provided a good message about stereotypes and how it impacts people even if they're just used as a punchline. I love this episode so much

Considering the number of people who actually think the pandemic and the quarantine are real and necessary and not just cheap ploys by the government to close government offices to the public but still receive funding as if they're open and functional, and to elicit a mass panic over a total non-issue, while the government tells hospitals to mark down non-corona cases as reasons for death to artificially inflate the numbers (this is true and actually has a lot of leaked proof that no one wants to look up)... and he number of people who still treat it as a "hilarious meme" that makes people spread fake-"awareness" of this over exaggerated flu-bug.... yes, stupidity is the virus right now. And it is both relevant and realistic. Corona is not as big and not as much of a problem as the government is covering up real information to make people think it is, but everyone is so stupid they believe it just because everyone else says it's true without actually looking up all the researchable information to the contrary. The ACTUAL flu, kills more people in the winter years every year than this overblown Coronavirus does in an estimated 3 years. Yet stores are still requiring people to use face-masks that do nothing to restrain the ACTUAL disease (rare as it is that anyone actually GETS it), because misinformation and manufactured panic over it is worse than Y2K and the Bird-Flu combined. And because people will believe anything if the government makes it look real enough and if pop-culture makes a big joke out of it that makes it seem like it's a real part of society now, when it's not. Coronavirus is sponsord by the government and meme culture to make it look real, when the fact is the majority of it has stayed in Asian countries, and outside of that, it's either ignored or taken advantage of by governments like the US who see $$$ in it. The fact is, this is hardly an epidemic, Covid-19 is JUST a slight mutation of the common flu, it BARELY has made it to the US from China, hospitals nationwide are provably involved in a mass coverup to report wrongly marked cases of death to make the virus look more deadly and legitimate than it actually is, and because ever since 9/11 it's been proven that scare tactics make a population easy to control and manipulate, while government offices stay open but receive kickbacks by locking their doors, and the SMALL number of ACTUAL covid deaths routinely occur mostly due to poor healthcare in low income areas who can't afford or aren't able to receive treatment. The entire quarantine is nothing but a US fabricated hoax using a barely crossed Chinese flu mutation to send people into a panic and try to make as much money off it as possible, either by government kickbacks or "mask sales", which is a textbook repeat of "the diabetes scam." Refuse to regulate or cure diabetes, because diabetic equipment is a money making industry that the economy benefits from. Now the economy and government is benefiting from this Covid-19 Quarantine hoax and stupid people just keep falling for it, because everyone wants to believe what everyone else believes without thinking about it or questioning it. So yes, Sandy is right. The real virus being spread is stupidity.
