Just outside London- not too far from Chalfont and Latimer Underground station- there lies a small farmhouse which hides an intriguing secret... for it's home to the 'Prop Store', an auction house who specialise in sourcing and selling original TV, music and movie props.
In November 2022, the Prop Store staged a huge auction at 'BAFTA' on Piccadilly, in which around 1500 pieces were up for sale and, just before the event, I was granted access to their warehouse which was packed with lots- many of which are icons of popular culture.
In this video, I'll be showing you what I encountered, including items related to the Beatles, Superman, Alien, Back to the Future, David Bowie and much more!
I'd be interested to hear your own thoughts on these items... which is your favourite? And do these props evoke any memories? Please be sure to let me know in the comments.
I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank the staff at the Prop Store for accommodating my visit- they're a great bunch of people who couldn't have been more helpful and friendly.
You can visit the Prop Store's website here:

Thank you so much to all of you who support my channel with your kind comments, likes and shares, it means a great deal to me.

What a great video! I wish I'd known about the prop store when I lived in Buckinghamshire. When i was a kid, we all saw Superman. One day in the summer holidays, my friend and I were sitting on our stairs chatting, a bit bored, when suddenly, at the door stood superman looking at the numbers on the buzzer. My mate and I launched ourselves at him, screaming "can I help you?" He was charming and polite at the sight of these odd London teens. He'd come to see a neighbour who was loosely connected to the BBC. We buzzed the buzzer and announced him, practically dragging him to the ancient lift, which took considerably longer to reach the top floor than the stairs would have. The three of us stood squashed like sardines in this ancient hydraulic lift, slowly cranking its way to the lofty regions of the fifth floor. I was squashed against his chest, I'm sure I must have covered it in the bright pink lipstick and blusher worn by girls of the early eighties. He seemed mighty built up to me, that guy was solid! We practically marched him to our neighbour's door until she opened it and they greeted each other with a big hug, her thanked us and they closed the door. This entire time we hadn't lost our cool too much, coming off as strange, overly helpful, slightly hysterical teens. My friend was always loud, the second the door closed she yelled "ohmygawdSUPERMAN!" Knowing my brother would explode with jealousy, we bolted to the ground floor, hammering on the door. We told my brother, who immediately burst into tears at having missed his hero. My mum sent us out again, but we stood at the door listening to her comfort my brother. "Of course they're lying, if Superman really came here, why would he use the lift? He'd just fly up the stairs." We lost it at that point. We didn't see him again, but on the plus side, he didn't sue our parents for trauma therapy. I had totally forgotten about this until I saw his costume. Obviously he wasn't wearing it on the day, jeans, a nice shirt and a blazer, my mate swore he was wearing a blazer, but I don't recall it. Unfortunately absolutely no one believed us.
Great video, now I want to go and see the Propstore. Thank you for another great video 📹. ☆

Rob this just proves how green open spaces can be accessed courtesy of the London Underground, very interesting video. When he visited my children’s school as the green cross code man I came face to face with Keith Prowse mind you had to look up he was 6ft 5ins or 1. 9 metres

I've met Dave Prowse too, he was huge! As you probably know, he sadly passed away not so long ago (as in fact have quite a few people mentioned in this video... David Bowie, Rutger Hauer, Robin Williams....) Hope you're keeping well.

    Hello Rob
Another great video. Sure brought back great memories. Back to the future was one of movies I took Sandra to see when we first started dating so those are our favorite items. When we where in London in 2016 we where on Bus tour to the Cotswolds when a DeLorean from movie drove by. Then there is the Chucky doll. We have never seen the movie but a more recent movie called Ready Player One which Chucky is mentioned and it has become a catch phrase Sandra and I use. The movie is partially filmed in London and we visited the building that was used as there head quarters of bad guys. Sorry I could go on for a long time. Thanks Rob. Take Care Chris and Sandra of Canada.

Did you find a Star Trek replicator at the warehouse? I would like to get one for my house - I'm tired of cooking & washing up all day, every day? How much?
I would love a Darlek for the office to keep the boss at bay.
I have lots of stuff (I'm a crafter) so any spare TARDISes (?) would be VERY handy or perhaps the carpet bag belonging to Mary Poppins!
A hoverboard from Back to the Future would DEFINITELY help with transport costs. Although - come to think of it - so too would the bed from Bednobs & Broomsticks or even the car from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
I think there might be quite a bit of movie tech that could help during the current cost of living crisis. Hmmm... any wands from Harry Potter perhaps???
