    I'd consider myself an intermediate player and your guides are extremely helpful into learning about more advanced topics. Excited to watch this one, keep up the content bro.

    This is criminally underrated content. I'm glad to have found this channel as a fellow 09er and Akuma main.

    I'm glad to have found your guides here, especially your coverage and takes on the footsies handbook that I didn't know existed
    SF6 is technically my first SF (only briefly touched SF4 on the arcades when it still worked), and as someone who is first and foremost a Tekken played who then transitioned to different 2D anime fighters, SF was a whole different breed for me (I did try some KOF15 prior where I bumped into similar problems with how I played)
    This really helped me refresh and absorb the concept footsies and traditional fundamentals that I haven't brushed on in a while properly, and am looking forward to whatever you've got planned next
    It really rekindled my drive with fighting games and turned my grief of losing into striving to git gud

      Super glad I could help! Yeah the early stages of improving at FGs can be hard because it feels like you need to learn so much or else you may just lose to random stuff other characters are doing, but improving at the fundies always helps get through that quicker!

    Absolutely love your content. There fact that you chase down examples from high level play and showcase what happens elevates it from "interesting' to "essential viewing". Subscribed. Keep 'em coming!

      Appreciate it! I think finding the examples in recent tourny matches drives the point home much better than me doing it in training mode haha, just takes a lot longer to find them sometimes 😅

    Love this content - new player in Silver and trying to learn exactly this kind of play to push myself up to Gold. Any chance you could talk in the future about how you get better at recognizing distances generally? I'm better at judging it on some levels than on others, but it's surprisingly harder to get down in the middle of a battle.
    Anyway, thanks again for the great analysis!

    Hey Mikey, great content as always. I've really enjoyed these mechanics. Could you talk a little bit about doing raw drive rush into button / throw. I think it is related to neutral but applies in a lot of situations universally.

  • @Ashuraa54

    Always a good content ! I'd like a video with something like a daily training routine to improve, as I'm stuck at platinum and I don't really know what training I should do. I am trying to gain reflexes by having Kimberly do her teleport and ex teleport and then responding with the right move for each, but I'm not sure if that's the best way to go.

    Bro, thanks alot for all the guides! Was a big help for me! Once thing I am a little bit cluessless about is: I meet people that keep jumping back and just neutral jump in the corner. Any „safe“ recommandation for that? Playing cammy aswell btw. THX! LF to future videos of you!

  • @FapasaurusRexx
    @FapasaurusRexx ปีที่แล้ว

    Great vids man. I wonder if surviving burnout would be content worthy for a vid sometime? In particular if you are a character with few defensive tools or a reversal. Some characters like cammy seem to win the round as soon as I’m in burnout if they close the gap with pressure I can’t even seem to jab or jump out of.

    • @MikeyDLuffy
      @MikeyDLuffy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great suggestion! Cammy in particular is a character that's great at bullying when the other person is in burnout because of Spin Knuckle, but yea definitely something I can look into for some overall tips

      It's a must for Guilty Gear haha. There is soooo much to learn in every matchup and some characters feel like they're cheating sometimes 🤣. But having fun slowly learning each matchup makes the game very enjoyable to grind

    I generally pressure when I get them to the corner but against dp characters I play a bit safer. I’ll mix it up and pressure but if they wake up dp at the corner I’ll back off to whiff punish.

  • @KTSamurai1
    @KTSamurai1 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    question: do you think that footsies are less useful at lower ranks?
    people are wild animals down here and while im trying to establish my range theyre jumping, dashing, using unsafe specials, etc. i practice whiff punishing in training mode but no one's poking down here lol

    • @heroicsquirrel3195
      @heroicsquirrel3195 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just beat them and rank up, don’t respect the noobs and waste your time trying to play them properly

    • @MikeyDLuffy
      @MikeyDLuffy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think a lot of the concepts are important. People in lower ranks will whiff without you ever having to bait them, or jump randomly so your anti air game is really important. So I still think having solid fundamentals will help a lot. But I agree a bigger part of getting through lower ranks just knowing what the other person is doing that you could/should be punishing. It could take quite a bit of time because you may just not know what the other person's character does so they get away with a lot, but yeah I do think just being fundamentally sound helps mitigate it
