Yes if u have an AMD Radeon it's going to work with AMD free-sync premium pro for anti screen tearing, tried it and it's guaranteed to not have any screen tearing I hope u can find it for a lower price
There is some configuration so that the TV has the perfect image for games ? I just bought the Qn90 43 and I'm using it as a monitor. if you can help, several people have 43, but most videos, websites have settings, 55 above where the panel is not VA. Thanks

I would say a good deal I got it for 1000$ back when it was released on march And I'm still using it to this day for any task, gaming/work all fine, also for HDR content I found it very bright and vivid, some color calibration is needed but for the most part it's my best monitor/tv at this size for 2023
New subscriber. I enjoyed this video a lot knowing that some of what I'm seeing like the intensity of the blooming, is due to the camera and what we are watching the video on. Im really considering using this as a pc monitor and for pc gaming. I prefer playing my ps5 on a large tv and for that im considering the 85" qn90c, qn95c, sony x93l, and sony x95l. Depends on more reviews and how much i really want to spend on incremental improvements between these choices. Maybe sometimes Id move the ps5 to my office where this 43" tv would be if someone wanted to watch tv and i want to play my ps5. With that said, do you see any major negatives of using the 43" qn90c with my gsync desktop and laptop? I generally use a monitor for pc gaming, reading, youtube streaming, and the occasional Excel and Word file :). Curious to get your thoughts. My office is very bright, but there is no direct sunlight and the wall opposite my desk is just a white wall with windows to the left of my desk. I know you stated that the brightness overcomes the reflections :).
I'll do my best to upgrade my equipment, thanks for the feedback! but I need to inform you that the QN90C doesn't support Nvidia G-sync, only AMD FREESYNC PREMIUM PRO and in PS5 it supports VRR, but as i said in the video g-sync compatible monitors to me means not much because g-sync compatible is a software driver that turns originally freesync monitors or TVs to g-sync using driver based but it's not really Nvidia's technology or chip for preventing screen tearing, their actual solution is quite expensive, you would see it on like this monitor by Asus rog.asus.com/monitors/32-to-34-inches/rog-swift-pg32uqx-model/ which is priced for over 3000$ price it adds a lot in cost that's why G-sync compatible monitors are more common but they prevent screen tearing as much, in many FPS games I've had G-sync compatible on and still experienced screen tearing, i personally loved it more on free sync premium pro, like AMD RADEON GPUs its a long discussion by itself but in the end IMO g-sync compatible isn't a thing i would care for even if I have an Nvidia RTX as well in worst-case scenario if you see screen tearing in games you can enable V-sync which eliminates all screen tearing I also have a window to the left of the TV and I never got disturbed by sunlight coming, it's glossy but it somehow deflects reflections and it's brightness is really great I haven't gotten my hands on the other TVs you mentioned but i think the QN90C has a lot to offer, hope you find what suits you the best!
@@TECHOSAUR Very helpful, thanks for the thoughtful response. Your Vsync comment makes total sense. I've watched bleach thousand-year blood war snd didn't see any blooming with English subs, also since the anime specifically has scenes with total pitch black and high color contrasts, It blew me with it's black levels and vividness, of course u will need to tune colors but overall as someone that has LG C2,which is almost identical to C3 except for the AI chip but same panel, i would say the QN90C is the closets I've ever seen to an OLED, MINI-LED is very nice tech with less worries, 0 fear of burn-in is a big advantage
Hi, I recently bought the same TV as in the video, and for some reason the Gaming Hub does not appear in the menu, There is no controller icon on the side, What is the problem?
if it was g-sync compatible it would have written "G-SYNC COMPATIBLE" in NVIDIA Control panel ibb.co/w6ydPCv QN90C ibb.co/jH7SMVN LG C2 I have an RTX GPU and i can confirm it doesn't have G-sync
@@legianw4954 When a display isn't G-sync compatible It doesnt shows on Nvidia Control Panel. In the video it show the option to activate G-sync but he doesn't activate it. FreeSync Premium usually means it is Adaptive Sync wich is G-sync compatible but do not integrate the G-Sync Chip inside wich usually raise the price a lot.
Is this TV G-Sync Compatible? I'm seeing some other TH-cam reviews saying that this TV's Viewing Angles are so bad that they wouldn't recommend it. Based on your experience with this 43" Variant, honestly is the viewing angles really that bad?
Nope it's not G-sync compatible, it has Free sync premium pro so if you have an AMD GPU it works pretty well in getting rid of screen tearing Viewing angles are bad from everywhere except front, on sides you see it's blooming, you can still see what's on TV though, only when you sit in the front it's clear, if you want I can make a video showing viewing angles, got other people asking about it and my video lacked that part, I should have mentioned it !
It depends on ur personal taste If you prefer brighter and more vivid colors I think the QN90C is a good choice but if you prefer perfect dimming control and more accurate colors and also better response time LG C2 is the one for you It really comes to what you prefer I tried both and for me the QN90C is better given that I work on video editing and coding and in such use cases C2 is not good because it goes dim after some mins if the scene isn't moving enough to protect against burn-in, also I hated the Auto brightness limiter (ABL) because when u browse white websites like Amazon if u scroll down brightness change and it feels quite distracting, in QN90C you don't have those things so C2 is purely meant for entertainment not much for productivity
@@TECHOSAUR Hi, thank you for your response! I also have another question, if I want to use the 144hz feature do I have to set it to only game mode? I want to use all of the color and sound settings of this tv while taking advantage of the high refresh rate and low reponse time. If its only game mode, then that kind of sucks.
@@perroguerrero9568 no you don't need to, but due to HDMI 2.1 limitations you can't have 12bit color and 144 hz, max is 120hz Make sure you set color depth in windows to 10 bit to use 144hz, when u set game mode however panel response time improves thus reducing ghosting

Thanks for the video! Is there an option to change the screen size when connected to a PC/MAC? I'm referring to the option of creating a smaller screen size by having a black borders and the desktop shows inside a box in the middle of the screen. I'm asking that because I consider the 43 inch but if this option is available, maybe it's better for me to get the 50 inch which still uses the VA panel for better colors and when used for PC monitor, I'll just crop/change the screen size.
You can change the aspect ratio : 16:9 and 4:3 In addition you can have multi view between one input source and TV apps like TH-cam Samsung tv, web browser etc, also u can use windows screen projection or Mac As well as PIP mode (picture in picture). It also supports Apple airplay and Samsung Dex

how is backlight when using it as a monitor i had the QN90B and it was horrible even in a gray background i could see trails of light following mouse movements and blooming with gray backgrounds was very annoying
I never had the QN90B, I'm currently using the QN90C 43" as a PC/console monitor for all-purpose, In my opinion, the local dimming is good, I don't see trails of light, maybe because they increased the number of zones in comparison to previous monitors I tried, like the Odyssey NEO G7 43" and maybe the QN90B but you can easily disable the local dimming feature and you should stop seeing trails of light Instead it will be the total backlight for all zones, Having it enabled serves for HDR content, but for PC use cases it's not that good, I personally keep it on all time and I haven't any issue of that sort Also, contrast levels are awesome given it is a VA panel, not an ADS of course, it's not comparable with OLED in terms of color accuracy but it's way brighter, I love HDR gaming on this one more than OLED because you could see scenes more alive and vivid
Yes, it still has some ghosting in some scenarios like when you scroll down but at least it's better especially when i read news now while scrolling i feel less discomfort, it falls under the acceptable amount of ghosting, also the interesting part that if you scroll text so fast you won't even see the ghosting, on the NEO G7 it worsen the faster you scroll, it was just too much to handle imo, i liked the build quality and design on the NEO G7 but unfortunately the ghosting ruins the experience especially when u use it out of gaming
@@TECHOSAUR how about yellow fringing on text and mouse cursor? Is that seen on 43 qn90c? I had 3x neo g7 43 all were bad and moving the mouse around was bad.. even in destiny 2 menus was ugly
@@dnsean03 nope, i dont see yellow fringing on this one, when you move mouse cursor you see some ghosting as you do when scrolling down but when you move the cursor so fast you stop seeing any ghosting all together, i tottally recommend you try this one over the Odyssey G7 NEO, give it a try!
For me yes, I noticed, better local dimming control in dark scenes and also color and contrast are more clear thanks to the display coating that is glossy not matte like odyssey 43, also less ghosting effect, the odyssey has it's pros like screen coating is so premium looking and blocks any reflection, both have slim design but build quality is better on odyssey, it feels more robust overall Also the odyssey has display port input, this one doesn't It comes down to what you prefer
Can you change all of the display settings while game mode is active on xbox? I'm worried that i won't be able to make all the colors less bright, from what i've been seeing in video's and reading online, the colors, brightness, just all of it is way too "popping". Can you tone all of that down for a calmer and more realistic look (again, on xbox)?
@@HiddenDeadX do you mean the TV light shining on the stand ? even in a dark room, i only see the TV not the stand with it, I dont have it wall-mounted and it never bothered , in fact the stand is heavy and sturdy, because it's the same one used in 55" so for 42" it's not wiggling on every move like for example the NEO G7 43"

it actually depends on my factors and how you would use it The QN90C has a glossy coating , has only HDMI 2.1 ports while the neo G7 has a matte finish, it is oriented as a high-end gaming monitor for PC and includes a display port as well as HDMI 2.1 for consoles so terms of PC compatibility the neo-G7 has more options They're pretty close but I also saw less ghosting effect on the QN90C and better local dimming control, the neo G7 wasn't impressive in that department but what I liked more about it is the build quality and I liked the design and matte finish, those are the things I appreciated the most also to note the QN90C has Samsung's latest feature which is auto HDR remastering, it basically remasters SDR content into appearing HDR-Like which you can see here: for old movies like here th-cam.com/video/kPe7R0jsPB0/w-d-xo.html for consoles that don't support HDR th-cam.com/video/4ocxrqdoMAo/w-d-xo.html
Sorry but its a VA panel not IPS And all VA panels generally have problem with ghosting and response time however in normal use scenario it's really decent, Its not on par with OLED with response but it's better than PC monitors of that size, I've been using it for 2 months and for me it's good, i have no complains about lighting zones transitions and ghosting, also in gaming it has superior HDR experience
I deeply apologize for the camera quality, I don't have a dedicated camera setup, just a phone camera, getting a DLSR camera is on top of my list, my channel is tiny, and the investor for everything is only my wallet 😂 your kind support is going to nourish it

What can you say concerning "colour gradient" and "bad viewing angles" in qnc 43 inch. model? - th-cam.com/video/mjRBE1wBwNw/w-d-xo.html - Cause one reviewer here told, that particularly in 43 and 50 inch models Samsung doesn't use the technology, which spreads and controls wide color view angles in comparison with 55, 65 and bigger inch models, and cause of this he doesnt recommend this 43 and 50 models for buying and using.
it's definitely not the best panel out there, viewing angles are horrible IMO But it depends whether you care about viewing angles, I usually sit facing it so it doesn't matter that much. Also this one isn't purposed for professional use so It doesn't have a reliable color accuracy, it's acceptable but LG C2/C3 are definitely outperforming in that department But I personally didn't find any better non OLED based tv of this size It has some compromises on certain aspects like panel latency and color accuracy and viewing angles but it also has good local dimming and it gets so bright in HDR content thanks to it's MINI-LED while not worrying about burn-in and low brightness for PC uses

thanks man this video was very very helpful. I want to use it as monitor my gpu is from AMD. so do you recommend it for me? its price in my country is 854 doller (with 15% vat) (743 without vat) i think it is a very good price
Yes if u have an AMD Radeon it's going to work with AMD free-sync premium pro for anti screen tearing, tried it and it's guaranteed to not have any screen tearing
I hope u can find it for a lower price
@TECHOSAUR thank you very much I just bought it thanks to you ❤️

I got the 43' model for ~$475 USD. Do you think it's a good deal? I was thinking on using it as a monitor for productivity/programming/gaming.
I would say a good deal
I got it for 1000$ back when it was released on march
And I'm still using it to this day for any task, gaming/work all fine, also for HDR content I found it very bright and vivid, some color calibration is needed but for the most part it's my best monitor/tv at this size for 2023

@@TECHOSAUR What do you think about LG C3 OLED 42"? Which is better for reading?
What does this TV do when presented with 1080p50 content? Does the refresh rate change to, say 50 hz or 100 hz?
Thanks alot for your testing!
I'll do my best to upgrade my equipment, thanks for the feedback!
but I need to inform you that the QN90C doesn't support Nvidia G-sync, only AMD FREESYNC PREMIUM PRO and in PS5 it supports VRR, but as i said in the video g-sync compatible monitors to me means not much because g-sync compatible is a software driver that turns originally freesync monitors or TVs to g-sync using driver based but it's not really Nvidia's technology or chip for preventing screen tearing, their actual solution is quite expensive, you would see it on like this monitor by Asus
rog.asus.com/monitors/32-to-34-inches/rog-swift-pg32uqx-model/
which is priced for over 3000$ price it adds a lot in cost that's why G-sync compatible monitors are more common but they prevent screen tearing as much, in many FPS games I've had G-sync compatible on and still experienced screen tearing, i personally loved it more on free sync premium pro, like AMD RADEON GPUs
its a long discussion by itself but in the end IMO g-sync compatible isn't a thing i would care for even if I have an Nvidia RTX as well
in worst-case scenario if you see screen tearing in games you can enable V-sync which eliminates all screen tearing
I also have a window to the left of the TV and I never got disturbed by sunlight coming, it's glossy but it somehow deflects reflections and it's brightness is really great
I haven't gotten my hands on the other TVs you mentioned but i think the QN90C has a lot to offer, hope you find what suits you the best!
@@TECHOSAUR Very helpful, thanks for the thoughtful response. Your Vsync comment makes total sense. I think when I'm ready I will test this TV and see how it goes and just make sure I buy it from a place where it can be returned within a certain period of time. Thanks for the useful info 👍
would you recommend this over a C3, considering it being slightly cheaper and no burn in? How's blooming with anime subtitles?
I've watched bleach thousand-year blood war snd didn't see any blooming with English subs, also since the anime specifically has scenes with total pitch black and high color contrasts, It blew me with it's black levels and vividness, of course u will need to tune colors but overall as someone that has LG C2,which is almost identical to C3 except for the AI chip but same panel, i would say the QN90C is the closets I've ever seen to an OLED, MINI-LED is very nice tech with less worries, 0 fear of burn-in is a big advantage

Nope it's not G-sync compatible, it has Free sync premium pro so if you have an AMD GPU it works pretty well in getting rid of screen tearing
Viewing angles are bad from everywhere except front, on sides you see it's blooming, you can still see what's on TV though, only when you sit in the front it's clear, if you want I can make a video showing viewing angles, got other people asking about it and my video lacked that part, I should have mentioned it !

Thank you for confirming it's BGR
Also, QN90D is the same
LG C2/C3 vs QN90c, Which one would you prefer in terms of picture quality? And if the use case is primarily gaming, which would you choose?
It depends on ur personal taste
If you prefer brighter and more vivid colors I think the QN90C is a good choice but if you prefer perfect dimming control and more accurate colors and also better response time LG C2 is the one for you
It really comes to what you prefer
I tried both and for me the QN90C is better given that I work on video editing and coding and in such use cases C2 is not good because it goes dim after some mins if the scene isn't moving enough to protect against burn-in, also I hated the Auto brightness limiter (ABL) because when u browse white websites like Amazon if u scroll down brightness change and it feels quite distracting, in QN90C you don't have those things so C2 is purely meant for entertainment not much for productivity
@@perroguerrero9568 no you don't need to, but due to HDMI 2.1 limitations you can't have 12bit color and 144 hz, max is 120hz
Make sure you set color depth in windows to 10 bit to use 144hz, when u set game mode however panel response time improves thus reducing ghosting
@@TECHOSAUR For PC gaming/monitor, LG C2 burn-in risk is a real concern in your opinion?
@@Astro-ck6mhif you have a warranty, LG can change the panel and you are good to go (They're usually helpful to customers) just today today, our living room TV, the C1 65" got 10 cm long horzional white line in, we got it 2 years ago, and it was only used for watching, also my personal C2 42" died after 5 months, i used it for work and gaming.

You can change the aspect ratio : 16:9 and 4:3
In addition you can have multi view between one input source and TV apps like TH-cam Samsung tv, web browser etc, also u can use windows screen projection or Mac
As well as PIP mode (picture in picture).
It also supports Apple airplay and Samsung Dex
@@TECHOSAUR Thank you so much for the quick and detailed response! :)
It seems like non of the above is what I'm searching for. I'm basically want to know if there is an option to turn this 43 inch tv to a 34 inch monitor for example by cropping. Something like that: www.talkofweb.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/11/underscan-display-min.jpg
@@TECHOSAUR ciao vorrei sapere se il VA Da 43" pollici oppure il 50" del modello QN90C soffrono di gosting
how is backlight when using it as a monitor
i had the QN90B and it was horrible even in a gray background i could see trails of light following mouse movements
and blooming with gray backgrounds was very annoying
I never had the QN90B, I'm currently using the QN90C 43" as a PC/console monitor for all-purpose, In my opinion, the local dimming is good, I don't see trails of light, maybe because they increased the number of zones in comparison to previous monitors I tried, like the Odyssey NEO G7 43" and maybe the QN90B
but you can easily disable the local dimming feature and you should stop seeing trails of light Instead it will be the total backlight for all zones, Having it enabled serves for HDR content, but for PC use cases it's not that good, I personally keep it on all time and I haven't any issue of that sort
Also, contrast levels are awesome given it is a VA panel, not an ADS
of course, it's not comparable with OLED in terms of color accuracy but it's way brighter, I love HDR gaming on this one more than OLED because you could see scenes more alive and vivid
@@TECHOSAUR il 43" con pannello Va presenta ghosting su ps5 ???
So it has significantly less ghosting over the 43 neo g7 as I understand?
I had 3x neo g7 43 all were bad and moving the mouse around was bad.. even in destiny 2 menus was ugly

its better that samsung oddysei neo g7 43"?
For me yes, I noticed, better local dimming control in dark scenes and also color and contrast are more clear thanks to the display coating that is glossy not matte like odyssey 43, also less ghosting effect, the odyssey has it's pros like screen coating is so premium looking and blocks any reflection, both have slim design but build quality is better on odyssey, it feels more robust overall
Also the odyssey has display port input, this one doesn't

sri samsung 90c 43inch price in india
How is it compared to neo g7 43 from samsung
it actually depends on my factors and how you would use it
The QN90C has a glossy coating , has only HDMI 2.1 ports
while the neo G7 has a matte finish, it is oriented as a high-end gaming monitor for PC and includes a display port as well as HDMI 2.1 for consoles
so terms of PC compatibility the neo-G7 has more options
They're pretty close but I also saw less ghosting effect on the QN90C and better local dimming control, the neo G7 wasn't impressive in that department but what I liked more about it is the build quality and I liked the design and matte finish, those are the things I appreciated the most
also to note the QN90C has Samsung's latest feature which is auto HDR remastering, it basically remasters SDR content into appearing HDR-Like which you can see here:
for old movies like here th-cam.com/video/kPe7R0jsPB0/w-d-xo.html
for consoles that don't support HDR

And all VA panels generally have problem with ghosting and response time however in normal use scenario it's really decent, Its not on par with OLED with response but it's better than PC monitors of that size, I've been using it for 2 months and for me it's good, i have no complains about lighting zones transitions and ghosting, also in gaming it has superior HDR experience

Man, thanks a lot for your useful review. What can you say concerning "colour gradient" and "bad viewing angles" in qnc 43 inch. model? - th-cam.com/video/mjRBE1wBwNw/w-d-xo.html - Cause one reviewer here told, that particularly in 43 and 50 inch models Samsung doesn't use the technology, which spreads and controls wide color view angles in comparison with 55, 65 and bigger inch models, and cause of this he doesnt recommend this 43 and 50 models for buying and using.
it's definitely not the best panel out there, viewing angles are horrible IMO
But it depends whether you care about viewing angles, I usually sit facing it so it doesn't matter that much.
Also this one isn't purposed for professional use so It doesn't have a reliable color accuracy, it's acceptable but LG C2/C3 are definitely outperforming in that department
But I personally didn't find any better non OLED based tv of this size
It has some compromises on certain aspects like panel latency and color accuracy and viewing angles but it also has good local dimming and it gets so bright in HDR content thanks to it's MINI-LED while not worrying about burn-in and low brightness for PC uses
