- SORRY FOR USING ETABS WORD INSTEAD OF SAFE IN SOME WHERE🙏
in this lesson, we are going to design and detail a flat slab using CSI safe.
to design the slab we are going to perform the following steps:
- Start a new project, define design code and units.
- Prepare the project plan as dxf file in Autocad and import it in Safe
- define the materials, column, beam, slab, and drop panel section.
- draw the defined sections
- define the load pattern, load cases, and load combinations
- assign the loads
- analyze and check
- define long term load combination
- check the long term deflection
- check the column punching shear
- design the slabs
- detailing the slab

If punching shear comes greater thann 1 ,can you increase the thickness of slab instead of providing drop panels?
