this is why merc gameplay is important, it also provides extreme primordial horror pierced into a person's mind on how literally scary these creatures could provide in the eyes of a human (specifcially first person view)
Hope you guys enjoy this one. It was quite the labor of love, as I have been wanting to write these kinds of stories for a while now. If you did, like and subscribe! If not, that’s okay too!
Man this was really good almost feels like it could be a part of a greater story you put it in just the right spot where if you wanted to make a larger book you really good it starts ambiguously enough to write a whole beginning and ends in a way to where you can just continue the rest of the story
I always liked the Idea of someone looking up, with a flashlight in the middle of the night, and seeing a body suspended in the branches, guts out, the face still recognizable but forever in horror, and sitting on the body, a raptor, just looking down, eating the guts, with their eyes reflecting the light from the flashlight.
The behavior of the acrocanthosaurus is like a real life bird. The shrike I think it's called, the males will impale prey on thorns or barbed wire to preserve their food and to attract mates. There isn't any paleontological evidence for this behavior in acrocanthosaurus, but it's a fun idea.
@@therealkingfisher. can you make an original story about a prehistoric zoo that is safe and the dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals never break out
This was so enjoyable. The impaled human on the branch reminds me of a shrike. Imagine a large theropod that impales prey on broken branches to cache them. That’s horrifying.
Omg I loved this! As someone who works with animals and studies their behavior I was trying to figure out why an acrocanthosaurus (also my favorite dinosaur lol) would be putting small animals (humans are in comparison lol) in trees. Since most animals that put bodies in trees do it primarily to protect their kill from other predators or scavengers I was initially confused. An acro should be able to defend its kill pretty effectively against most predators but even if it lost a challenge a small creature like a man doesn’t seem worth the effort. I must say I practically gasped and yelled “it’s a Bower!” (Which got some funny looks at work ngl) when I realized it was a male attempting to woo a female. Very well done!👏🏻
this greatly reminded me of "Primitive War" and im 100% here for it, i really enjoyed this and it was fun to listen too WHILE playing the isle. Keep up the good work!
@therealkingfisher I hope you will make more of these, I cannot find any story’s like this about the isle out there. This story brings my heart to race and anticipation, I wish you will continue to make more of these. Earned a sub❤
@@therealkingfisher. I agree chunky acro is best, the fact that the concept show it 1v1ing a cama and a trike gives me hope it will be able to contend with other apexes and I’d love nothing more than to murder rexes as the coolest carcharodontosaurid
One little issue i take, dave is not just keeping night vision goggles, these are $7000 pieces of equipment he would've been caught within the first month of having stolen them. i think a better explanation would be that the company that owns the isle provides them to workers for nightly duties. And he got it some way related to that fact.
One time I was playing a roblox dinosaur game called Era of Terror RETRO, I was a female Carnotaurus making a nest and when I looked up I saw an Acrocanthosaurus corpse in a tree. That's why I clicked on this video.
I know you wrote it but I should point out that if it's set in the Isle universe it's not technically an original, but that's a technicality. If you wanted to make it so, could be original in your own universe, but I like this nonetheless. It reminds me of ARK. I should also ask, are you the one narrating cause this sounds like so many other horror narrators I've heard, you all sound alike. I also do wonder if the protagonist didn't want to harm the dinosaurs because he felt empathetic towards them or simply because he found them exotic and wanted to show anybody he could bring to the island after escaping. If it's the former then that's a powerful moral characteristic but if it's the latter it means that if the animals weren't dinosaurs or any other rare or exotic species he may not have hesitated to harm or kill them, still he has a right to defend himself, he just shouldn't be keen on taking their lives out of supremacy, pleasure, or selfishness. But to the point I did enjoy this, and I hope there's a part two.

This story was amazing ngl. Kinda reminds me of reading the old Jurassic park books. Keep it up man
Biggest compliment you could have given me lol, exactly the vibe I was trying to achieve! Thank you!

id love to see its shrike-like behavior as a game mechanic, impaling your kills on branches would be badass

This is so cool, actually sent shivers down my spine on occasions. I really hope we get a continuation of David’s story!

This sounds great, enjoyed listening to it I’ve made a few isle inspired stories myself years back cool to see people sharing them online now
You should do the same! Dinosaur horror is severely underrated, as we must contribute!

8 ton acro???? Thank goodness, I hope it’s that strong ingame once it’s released

That was something that took me out of it, too. There ain't no way he's stealing night vision binoculars from the military.
love this
The real horror story of The Isle was the dev scandals.
I really love the direction your content is going! Keep it up boss 😎
Thanks, Stev! I appreciate you taking the time to watch!

So, the Acrocanthosaurus has shrike-like behavior. Got it.
