Probly always plade on big stages and stayed away from the edges. I always push oponents to the edge to beat them quicker and I have to recover from being hit over the edge.

My favorite SNES game is Super Mario RPG/Earthbound and my favorite N64 game is Paper Mario. I found out about these games years ago from searching the internet and seeing people play old games.

Out of respect for my brother who past way in 2007 we play this every Thanksgiving in the backroom, which use to be his bedroom. We only play on Nintendo 64 because it was my brother's. All top three winner's names get recorded in the a little red book and I have more then 17 cousins, not including side family and like family members. It's taken very seriously as a betting tournament and family tradition. The adult watching the parade and football and we play Smash Bros all day. I've only ever picked Jiggly Puff since I was a kid and if I get the hammer the game was over before it even began.

Somebody get these kids a N64. They need to know about the golden age of gaming, when concepts were all new and wonderful.
I'm 15, and N64 games are some of my favorite.
basically the nintendo 64 came out around their age. did you know the first super smash bros came out in 1999? so any teenager tht is born in 1999 to like 1995 should know about the 64. some of those kids just dont know anything or never heard of which is really funny
i had a n64 and im 13
bloozism They were all new and wonderful because it was huge change from prior systems. There wasn't much of a point of reference for games of that caliber. The games all had to be different and creative. Being someone who started on the SNES and who saw the change when Super Mario 64 came out, I can testify that it was a mind blowing change.
Not every game for the N64 was wonderful. But there were so many gems, for example:

And many of those games had equally if not more awesome Nintendo 64 sequels that I didn't mention. I'm sure there are plenty of fantastic N64 games I haven't even played yet. These games gave us new ideas and new ways to play that were so original and spellbinding.
Couldn't really see them beating an original nintendo game.
This is the Magic of Nintendo games, you can always play them and have fun.

Smash 64 is still the best in the franchise.
In some ways the franchise progresses with every new game. I understand competitive players will mostly prefer Melee over Brawl but each game continues to have more characters, content, and overall allows for more replay-ability than before.

How are these guys so clueless about older games. I'm only 15 and I grew up playing on NES, SNES, and N64 which my dad and brother had bought before I was born. They introduced me to the best of the best before I was able to get a GameCube or an Xbox. I started on chrono trigger, SSB, LoZ OoT, and Mario RPG even though they weren't from my time they're still the best games and I still play them up to today. I feel sorry for the kids who haven't gotten the chance to play ocarina...the best of them all.
Some would argue that MM tops it. I would be one of those people. And I know what you're thinking, and I was a die hard OoT fan myself up until recently. But MM took everything good about OoT and made it better.

FINALLY, I'm not the only one who is 16 and played these games growing up. donkey kong 64, smash bros 64, Super Mario bros 3 for the snes etc, ik my user name is off a modern game but these games were so much more fun than modern ones. Most now are massive multiplayers but where did all the fun creative/collective ones go to? I was looking at them play and none knew to use the top right button to throw the weapon or use the UP B to jump back up in case you fall down. So if this was our childhood than what did these guys do growing up?

I think they were still trying to get use to the controller before learning what each button does. I think they should've been allowed like 5-10 min of practice before jumping into matches so they wouldn't ask "how do you this?" throughout the matches.

Hyrule Castle and Sector Z are the best stages from this game. Planet Zebes is great too.

I never said it did. I just don't get why we gamers tend to think everyone in the world plays video games the way we do.
And for that matter, who cares that they're bad? Is it really that big of a deal?
They're teenagers, they're the main demographic for video games, they're the cause of video games becoming more and more easier and hand holding. Simple as that.
It's just a concern, that's all.
I don't know why it's such a concern. Most games now have the option to turn the hand holding off. And no, they aren't the reason. Developers think they want it when it reality most teens who actually play don't want it. Developers being misinformed is not the teens faults.

The problem with this video is that some of these kids haven't even touched a game at all. I also find it sad that one of those kids at the beginning is familiar with Smash Bros. Brawl, yet NOBODY playing seems to be familiar with the up-recovery moves.
